Abstract

PT Desain Sarana Intermatra, an interior design company based in Jakarta, has been trying to grow its business through digital marketing in recent years. The purpose of this study was to look at how businesses are using digital marketing strategies based on the PESO (Paid, Earned, Shared, and Owned) framework and find which areas need to be strengthened. The research process was carried out using a qualitative method, where data was collected through in-depth interviews with the company's internal parties. The data obtained was then analyzed by mapping digital marketing activities into each element of the PESO Model to see the level of utilization and integration. The results show that owned media (such as websites and digital portfolios) and shared media (such as active social media) are the main pillars of digital marketing. On the other hand, paid media (such as paid advertising) is still used unevenly and unmeasurably. The resources obtained (testimonials, reviews, and coverage) have also not been used effectively, especially to increase credibility and reach. To achieve synergy in marketing communication, the analysis shows that budgets for advertising must be allocated consistently, a review management system must be created, and a Paid–Shared–Owned–Earned system must be combined.

Abstract

Digital communication dynamics have driven a fundamental shift in media strategy, from the traditional PESO model toward the SOEP model (Shared, Owned, Earned, Paid Media), which is more adaptive to contemporary audience behavior. Through a case study of the interior design consultant Arpose Project, this research analyzes the role of repositioning media priorities as a communication strategy in building reputation and strengthening a competitive visual identity in the interior design industry. The analysis results show that, unlike the PESO model which places paid media as the primary reach trigger, Arpose Project effectively implements a SOEP strategy with Shared media through Instagram interactions and Owned media in the form of an official website as the primary foundation for building organic audience trust. In this ecosystem, Shared media functions as a space for dialogue and community participation, while Owned media acts as a platform for presenting portfolios and authentic, curated design philosophy narratives. The integration of these two elements gradually generates Earned media in the form of reputation and social proof, transforming Paid media into a tool for reinforcing the already established professional image. This research confirms that the SOEP strategy opens opportunities for interior design bureaus to anticipate audience hesitation toward promotional content through a transparent storytelling approach and consistent visual curation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach toward Arpose Project’s visual content, analyzed using the SOEP model shift framework.

Abstract

As an effort to preserve artworks, archiving plays a crucial role in recording evidence of an artwork's existence and all its supporting data. Therefore, an annotated catalogue could be an option for archiving works in an organized manner and be presented with supported information. In context of the film industry, a director plays the role of an artist, as they determine the creative vision of a film. In Indonesia, many directors have colored the world of cinema with works that have received international recognition, one of which is Edwin. He is an Indonesian film director, screenwriter, editor, and producer whose filmworks are known for its poetic and surrealist perception. The method for creating this annotated catalogue consists of data collection, data processing, and data presentation using an aesthetic approach with the creation process of pre-production, production, and post-production. The presentation of information in this annotated catalogue includes visual and textual archives of Edwin's film works, divided into short films, feature films, documentaries, and omnibus films, and is arranged in chronological order. The catalogue dimension is B5 paper size 17.6 cm x 25 cm with the total number of filmworks presented are 41 works which includes 25 short films, 7 feature films, 4 documentary films, and 5 omnibus films.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Indonesia’s significant potential to strengthen its cultural diplomacy and economic development as strategic assets on the international stage. One way to do this is through museums as global actors within the realm of cultural diplomacy. This study aims to examine the utilization of the Sonobudoyo Museum's symbolic capital as an instrument of cultural diplomacy at the 2025 Islamic Arts Biennale. This research employs qualitative and descriptive-analytical methods, presenting detailed findings that are then analyzed using Pierre Bourdieu's theory of capital. The results indicate that there is both the formation and utilization of symbolic capital within the Sonobudoyo Museum’s involvement in the Islamic Arts Biennale 2025. Soft power emerges through the power of attraction, which can serve as a national asset in conveying diverse and compelling cultural expressions, thereby maintaining and even enhancing the museum's global image. This study concludes that the Sonobudoyo Museum's symbolic capital plays a significant role in positioning it as one of Indonesia’s global actors, particularly within the fields of arts and culture and in the context of soft diplomacy.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the existence of Art for Children (AFC) Taman Budaya Yogyakarta (TBY), which for more than two decades has provided non-formal art education for children. This study describes the strategic management applied in the management of the AFC TBY program through the application of management functions and three important stages in strategic management. The management functions used refer to the POSDCORB theory, which has been simplified to PODR (planning, organizing, directing/actuating, and reporting) to suit the characteristics of the AFC TBY program. The three stages of strategic management include strategy formulation through SWOT analysis, strategy implementation through the application of AFC TBY program policies, and strategy evaluation through assessment of the strategies implemented. This study aims to analyze the application of management functions and strategic management in non-formal arts education at AFC TBY. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of interviews with human resources who are directly involved, non-participatory observation, and documentation of AFC TBY activities obtained from news archives and records stored at the Yogyakarta Cultural Park Library. Accordingly, this research is expected to contribute to the development of programs that are responsive to issues arising from both internal and external factors, while also maintaining AFC TBY’s role as an inclusive and sustainable non-formal art education space.
