Abstract

The study design was cross-sectional descriptive correlative approach. Data collection tool is a questionnaire guide. Sample of 35 respondents using accidental sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is the family support and the dependent variable quality of life of patients with post-stroke. The results showed 16 respondents, or 45.8% of respondents received sufficient family support. Respondents who have a sufficient quality of life amounted to 15 respondents or 42.7%. By Spearman Rho obtained significance value (p value = 0.00) <(α = 0.05), which proved to be no family support relationships with the quality of life of the elderly after a stroke. Post-stroke patients have problems of physical health, psychological, level of dependence, social relationships, environment and personal beliefs. Therefore, they need emotional support, awards, instrumental and information, especially of the family as the people closest to them thus improving patient quality of life after stroke

Abstract

Maternal problems during the postpartum are physiological and psychological changes. The postpartum period is a critical moment to adapt stress after childbirth. Adaptations include adjusting to the partner and building positive interactions with the baby. One of the problems that occurred during the postpartum period is fail in giving exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this study is to prove the influence of Community Based Breastfeeding Counseling for successfull exclusive breastfeeding.The research design used pre experimental design with one group pre-post test design approach. The respondents are Pospartum Primipara. Data collection with questionnaire sheets for the success of Exclusive Breastfeeding. Data analysis using Chi-Square with significance level α = 0.05 obtained result x2 = 0,000 and coefficient contingency = 0.707 means there is a difference between Practice of exclusive breastfeeding before and after done Community Based Breastfeeding Counseling means there is influence of Community Based Breastfeeding Counseling for Successful Exclusive breastfeeding

Abstract

Cancer affects the neurophysiological changes in skeletal muscle progressively and leading to cancer-related fatigue (CRF). Acupressure therapy can stimulate local microcirculation improvement and increasing physical performance. The purpose was determine the influence of acupressure therapy on CRF in cancer patients. The design used pre-experiment one group pre-test post-test design. Samples were 30 cancer patients living at the Indonesian Cancer Foundation East Java Branch taken by purposive technique based on inclusion criteria. The instrument was the Brief Fatigue Inventory. Acupressure therapy is given to acupoint C6, GB20, P6, Li4, Li11, Sp 6, St 36, 2 times per week for 4 weeks. Statistics was verified with Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test p < 0.05. Result showed the effect of acupressure therapy on CRF p = 0.000. Acupressure therapy can activate acupoint on the meridians, stimulating myelin nerves in the muscles and impulses into the central nervous system and can facilitate the reduction fatigue.

Abstract

Diphtheria is a contagion deadly disease which case increases year-by-year. Objective: To know the correlation of direct contact with diphteria patient towards diphteria in Blitar in 2016. This research method uses Observational-analytic study by using case control design. Sample in case group were 31 people of diphteria patients and 31 people of control group which is not a diphteria patients. Direct contact as Independent variable. Data were analyzed by Mc Nemar. The results showed p value is 0.21. Direct contact haven’t associated with diphteria. Further research can use more detailed questionnaire to know direct contact status properly

Abstract

Measles is a highly contagious disease caused by viruses and transmitted through coughing and sneezing. Symptoms of measles are high fever, spotting redness of the skin (rash) is accompanied by coughing and / or runny nose and / or conjunctivitis. In 2017 the highest measles incidence in the City of Kediri was the age group less than 15 years, namely 71.6 per 100.000 population. In addition to immunization coverage low in 2016, CBMS achievements in the last four years were also still below target, is a factor that is thought to affect the high incidence of measles in the City of Kediri. This study aims to describe the epidemiology of measles in Kediri City in the year 2014 - 2017. This research is an observational descriptive study. Population at this research is CBMS data in the City of Kediri Health Office in 2014 - 2017.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in the elderly is a disease with blood glucose levels increasing from the normal value affected by the insulin hormone. As the age increases, the risk of DM increases, due to a decrease in physiology and biochemistry in the body's system. Therapy or solutions that can be done to overcome diabetes in the elderly can be done pharmacological or non-pharmacological. One of the non-pharmacological therapies is by doing the Ling Tien Kung movement. The Ling Ting Kung movement is a therapy centered on anal training, "empet-empet anus" and "tiptoeing". The general objective of this research was to determine the results of the Application of Ling Tien Kung Movement Technique in Reducing Diabetes Mellitus in the Elderly. This research method is quantitative analytical research with the approach of one group pretest post-test design.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is the condition in which the level of mother’s hemoglobin is less than 12 gr/dL (Winkjosastro, 2002). According to WHO’s data, the maternal death in developing countries accounts for 40% related to anemia state in pregnancy. Most of the case is caused by iron deficiency and acute bleeding. Prevention of anemia can be done by giving the iron supplement tablets. However, by giving iron tablets alone, is not enough if pregnant women do not have any compliance about how to take it on. Maternal knowledge is known as the influence of that compliance. In order to increase their knowledge about anemia, providing the health education is a pivotal role. Health education in pregnancy care is an effort to influence other people, whether individuals, groups, or communities so that they do what is expected of education actors.

Abstract

According to data from the Basic Health Research of Indonesia (Riskesdas), exclusively breastfed babies has reached only 15.3% in 2010. While in Denpasar, its level fell from 62.2% in 2007 to 56.2% in 2008 for infants aged 0-6 months. This study aims to find out an exclusive breastfeeding given in infants, assessing infant’s nutritional status, and the correlation between an exclusive breastfeeding with infant’s nutritional status at Primary Health Care, Region I in North Denpasar. This research used a descriptive correlative method. Subjects were given exclusively breastfed for totally 45 respondents. This type of sampling using a purposive sampling. Statistical analysis was done by Chi-Square. Respondents were breastfed exclusively has higher normal nutritional status for about 51.1% compared with those whose was not given, showing only 15.6%.

Abstract

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic infectious disease characterized by air flow resistance in the airways that is progressively non-reversible or partial reversible, this condition can cause patients to experience shortness of breath, giving rise to conditions of discomfort in body functions and patient limitations in carrying out activities daily. The aim of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of diaphragm therapy for the comfort of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The design of this study was one group pre-post test. The population in this study were all patients in the Cempaka pavilion in Jombang General Hospital with an average of 26 patients per month. The sample in this study was 20 respondents using simple random sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. Processing data using editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and analyzing data using statistical tests Paired Sample T Test with alpha 0.05.
