JIPFRI (Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Fisika dan Riset Ilmiah) is a scientific journal published with a view to facilitating academics and researchers to publish their research results in the field of Physics Education Innovation and Scientific Research in the field of physics. JIPFRI ( Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Fisika dan Riset Ilmiah) is a journal published by Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Nurul Huda. JIPFRI began to appear in May 2017 that is Vol. 1 No. 1 the year 2017, with and periodically published twice per year in May and November. The focus of articles that can be published is related to the Innovation of Physics Education and Scientific Research. These are the details: (1). Innovation Physics Learning: model, strategy, approach, development of teaching materials and media in physics learning. (2). Scientific research: physics experiments and physics development research, usually the type of quantitative research. (3). Philosophy of science: profound scientific thoughts and have an acceptable reference, usually the type of qualitative research.

Abstract

This study aims to develop E-fotonovela media for deaf students in SMLB-B. The research method used is the Research and Development (R & D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the study were deaf students of high school level (SMLB-B), which were conducted in two schools namely SLB N 6 Jakarta and SLB N 7 Jakarta. Research and development produces E-fotonovela media in the form of books with Android-assisted, magnetic materials that are suitable for use based on an average expert judgment of 98% with very good criteria. The assessment of the effectiveness of the media obtained a percentage of 94% with very good criteria, and based on the effectiveness of learning outcomes obtained a value of 74.5% good criteria, which means that the photonovela media on magnetic material is suitable for use as a learning medium in SMAL-B (deaf). While the characters obtained after using E-fotonovela with the thunkecable android application are shown by the overall average score for the 6 principle characters of users at a high level of honest average = 8,189; average discipline = 7.834; average curiosity = 6,545; creative average = 8.037; average cooperation = 8,500 and average responsibility = 8,310.

Abstract

In this research, a light efficiency test tool has been designed using an Arduino UNO microcontroller to provide an understanding of the use of the ohm law application in basic physics practicum. This lamp efficiency test prototype uses an LDR sensor device and a resistor connected to the Arduino microcontroller as a light intensity detector, while the variation of electrical power is used by an AC variac with the lamp distance to the sensor having a constant value. The experimental results showed that the efficiency of the lamp can be obtained through a gradient of the luminosity curve on electric power. The efficiency of the lamp is 16.935 lm/watt and the average resistance can be obtained on 983.01 which the intensity in lux is 337,05 lux on 157,68 Lm and the maximum intensity in lux can be obtained on 453,35 lux on 208,54 Lm.

Abstract

This research is a survei that aims to describe the profile of pre-service physics teachers (PPT)' pedagogical and professional competencies. This survei was involved 60 PPT for the sixth semester to eighth semester on the 2015-2016 academic year in the physics education study program at a LPTK in Ternate, Indonesia. Data was collected through teacher competency tests and documentation studies. The results of the data analysis showed that the PPT' pedagogical and professional competencies can be categorized as low with a percentage of 34.0% and 25.8%. The results of this survei are expected to be used as a reference in formulating appropriate actions related to improving the PPT' pedagogical and professional competencies at the research location.

Abstract

This study aims to design a prototype of an air dielectric constant measuring device and be able to measure the capacitance value using an Arduino microcontroller device. The measurement of the air dielectric constant is carried out by means of the principle of measuring the capacitance of a capacitor device with a plate-parallel configuration with the air dielectric material. Capacitance measurements are carried out with the principle of charging and emptying capacitors using an Arduino Uno microcontroller device. The charging and discharging process is carried out using a series of resistor-capacitor (RC) series with a source voltage of 5 volts from the microcontroller device. This experiment has used a parallel plate with a size of 29 × 30 cm as an electrode capacitor, and a resistor device with a size of 125 megaOhm. The results showed that the behavior of charging and discharging parallel plate capacitor devices has an R square value of> 0.9, which shows a fairly good correlation between the predicted and experimental results on capacitance measurements. The results showed that the prototype of a dielectric constant measuring device can be well designed by showing the capacitance value of the device at the state of filling and emptying and the measurement results show the value of the air dielectric constant has been measured with a value of 0.991 - 1.0346.

Abstract

At this time, the school is conducting online learning from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but teachers and students still do online-based or Virtual Class learning through various applications, one of which is Google Classroom. The implementation of Google Classroom is still very public for learners, because usually teachers teach face-to-face. The purpose of this article is to determine the effectiveness of the Virtual Class implementation with Google Classroom in the Covid-19 pandemic Physics study. The method used in the form of charging poll through the Google Form in junior high school class VII-IX randomly represents one province namely West Java. From the results of a descriptive survey the results of the Google Classroom are less effective in physical learning, but are effective in virtual class learning and can be used as a Covid-19 pandemic learning app. So it can be concluded that students still need teachers directly in the process of learning physics.

Abstract

Computational physics can be used to help solve complex dynamics equations, both translational and rotational. The purpose of this study is to obtain differences in the dynamics of mechanical systems with non-holonomic constraints in various flat and curved configuration spaces based on physics computing. In this study the reduction used is a mathematical calculation of the Port-Contolled Hamiltonian System (PCHS) equation in a mechanical system that is a Stroller, so that the equation used in determining the Stroller motion equation with and without friction that moves in the curved plane in the form of a spherical surface with various initial conditions based on maple is Poincaré's equation which is based on Routhian reduction with and without friction. The effect of friction can be clearly seen through dynamics and graphical equations on the Stroller. This method can reduce the Stroller motion equation with and without friction that moves on the ball sphere clearly in the form of a set of differential equations. The findings of this study are dynamic equations and graphs of Stroller equations with and without friction that move in the curved plane in the form of a spherical ball with varying initial conditions based on maples. This study proves physical concepts about dynamics and kinematics and analyzes Stroller dynamics using computational physics to determine the characteristics of complex and complex Stroller movements, both translational and rotational.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the initial profile of creative thinking skills in Vocational School students on physics learning. This research was a quantitative descriptive research using test method. The population used in this study were all students of class XII at SMK Islam Nurul Hadi in Demak Regency. The sample used was 30 student’s selected by random sampling. The instrument used is a open-ended test with four items each representing an indicator of creative thinking. The indicators used are indicators that had been developed by an expert. The result of students’ creative thinking skills in physic subject showed 56,67% which was categorized as sufficient. It was shown from the creative thinking skills indicators that fluency 61,11%, flexibility and originality 57,78%, and elaboration 50,00%. Overall, it could be concluded and said that the ability of student’s creative thinking had not been properly trained. However, for fluency indicator were eventually considered well-trained.

Abstract

The Self-Study Activity Unit Electronic (E-UKBM) is a small learning unit that orderly arranged from easy to difficult level based on e-learning using kvisoft flipbook maker application as the development of teaching material through interactive teaching media to improve students problem solving skill. E-UKBM has the characteristic of learning tool to achieve competency of knowledge and skill on teaching process using Sistem Kredit Semester (SKS). The aim of the use of E-UKBM is to improve students problem solving ability. This type of research develops the result of Plomp’s research design model, (1) Preliminary Investigation, (2) Design, (3) Realization/Contruction, (4) Tes, Evaluation, and Revision, (5) Implementation. The sample of this research is students of X MIA 3 SMA N 1 Purworejo. This data analysis was done by using the validity and reliability test, the problem solving ability test using the pre-test and post-test. The result of this study indicate that E-UKBM is valid, practical, and effective so that it is feasible to improve students problem solving ability.

Abstract

One of the problems experienced by the community, whether at home or at work, was the disruption in the sense of concentration caused by noise. This study aims to measure noise as well as provide materials to reduce noise in the area. The time for data collection was one day, carried out for 4 samples of data collection based on a reference from the Ministry of Environment, no: Kep-48 / MENLH / 11/1996. The measurement method also using SNI standard number 7231 in 2009. Then based on the noise value displayed on the instrument, material recommendations will be given based on the value of Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC), Sound Transmission Coefficient (STC) and Loss Factor. The results of noise measurements at the AT-Taqwa Mosque are 77.1 dB and the recommended material recommended by the tool is Acourete Perfowood - Acoustic Panel 881 with NRC 0.375. While the measurement at the Musholla at Pasar Minggu station is 76.8 dB and the recommended material recommended by the tool is Accourete Fiber 300 with an NRC of 0.44.

Abstract

The simulation of the drift method application using a celestial body tracker has been done. Experiments were carried out by recording the movement of a celestial body tracker with variation orientation of polar angle and azimuth from the true south and polar angle a particular location. The variation is between -2° to +2°. It was found that the greater the difference in the mounting orientation from the true orientation, the greater the shift in altitude and azimuth of the celestial object’s path.
