Abstract

Crops and livestock produce harvest and also waste. Potential of agricultural and livestock waste in the district of Bekasi is quite large. Potential should have the feasibility to be utilized. Some commodity source of waste consisting of seven commodities, namely paddy, corn, bananas, sheep, layer, broilers, and beef cattle. Utilization of agricultural and livestock waste need to consider the application of efficiency technology, in order to be applied by local farmers. In addition to the utilization of waste need to prioritize the needs of farmers, namely the utilization of waste for organic fertilizer and animal feed.

Abstract

This research intent to see relationship among cultural organisational, organisational commitment and Locus of Control at PTS in Jabar. Observational population is lecturer and employee staff at environmentally PTS of 188 person, employee and lecturer at PTS X most takings 87 respondents or 4,28 percents. That respondent comprise of 47 men and 53 woman percents. Job unit broadcast scatters, Fisip's majority, Economy and FAI. Largely respondent gets S1's education (36,78 percents), S2(28,74 percents) and diploma 14,94 percents. Picture gets that that more komprehensif, therefore data processing is done by use of Structural Equation Model (SEM). Validity quiz and reliabitas is first phase to item question, pointing out result that vaid and reliable, meanwhile on phase II., are not all item that question valid and reliable. Analisis's result points out that together to be gotten relationship among cultural organisational, organisational commitment and locus of control to manajerial dengn's performance R Square 0,32. Sign from variable the whole lot in accordance with expectation which is positive, but just variable locus of control just that don't signifikan statistic's ala.

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the pattern of crop farming cultivation on dry land, that the cropping pattern and crop rotation on crop farming in CentralSulawesi province Morowali. The method used is a survey method. The research location in Central Sulawesi province Morowali. The sampling technique used random sampling. The research sample amounted to 76 respondents are spread across three districts namely North Bungku District, District and Sub Mori Petasia Top Morowali Central Sulawesi province. Data collection through interviews using questionnaires and literature. The results of the analysis of the utilization patterns of farming will be described descriptively. The results of this research, two cropping patterns by farmers. I was cropping farmers cropping pattern similar, namely rice paddy, corn-corn-soybean and soy nuts. Cropping Patterns II farmers cropping upland rice-Crops (corn) and upland rice-or soy. Farmers in implementing crop rotation patterns adjust to the conditions and rainfall in accordance with the experience and knowledge of farmers onclimate conditions

Abstract

The use of fresh straw directly on agricultural land turns out have a negarif impact, among others, is the danger of grems contamination on the straw from theprevious crop and environmental pollution due to the formation of methane resulted from anaerobic decomposition of flooded rice field. The recommended solution is composting straw earlier. The main obstacle of this straw composting include necessary labor (preparation of materials, transportation, maintenance) and the cost is relatively high. An alternative solution is to do straw inoculation with bio agent consortium decomposers before tillage (direct composting). Inoculation consortium decomposer is added to the straw need to be tested its effect on decomposition rate, especially incubation time and incorporation also the type of consortium. The aim of this research is to determine the bio agent inoculant consortium decomposer incubation time to accelerate straw decomposition and nutrient availability. The experiments was conducted in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture University of Padjadjaran in April to May 2010, using a randomized block design in factorial pattern repeated three times, as factor I: Incubation time (1, 2, 3 and 4 MST) and factor II: inoculant: no inoculants; formula A = inoculant decomposers (Bacillus sp, Cytophaga sp, Streptomyces sp) and formula B = inoculant decomposers (Bacillus sp, Cytophaga sp, T. harzianum). The results of this experiment showed that administration of a consortium of formula A and B can accelerate the decomposition of straw (temperature increases and pH decreases), and with increasing incubation time can increase the value of C-organic, N-total, decrease C/N compared to controls.

Abstract

Generally microbes in biofertilizer packaged in a carrier material powder and liquid form. Each inoculant requires media requirements and characteristics of differentcarrier materials. This research aims to study the composition of the carrier material N2 fixation biofertilizer (Azotobacter and Azospirillum) from paddy ecosystem in the form of powder. The study was conducted in two stages: (a) Test Viability of biofertilizer compositions from three carriers which performed at the Laboratory with the observed response variable bacterial populations on a regular basis ie 1, 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 30 and, 42 weeks after production and (b) Testing the addition of nutrients and the ratio of pure cultures with the carrier materials on viability of bacteria using a complete randomized block design consisting of 12 treatment combinations of nutrients and the addition of pure cultures with different ratios of carrier. The experimental results show that the carrier material of peat and compost is the best carrier with the highest bacterial viability until the age of 42 weeks after the production of fertilizer. The formulation of biofertilizer with addition of 0.5% nutrient + 35% culture and biofertilizer formulation with the addition of 1% nutrient + 30% culture better in supporting the viability of the bacteria until the age of 20 weeks after production.

Abstract

Chitosan microencapsulation contained extract formula pegagan-kumis kucingsambiloto was resulted from ionic gelation process. Chitosan microencapsulation wasresulted by cleaning bath type of ultrasonication and homogenization methods. Optimum condition obtained at 2% of chitosan concentration (w/v) and 50 mL (v/v) of extract formula. The yields of chitosan microparticles was 64.24%. Characterization by SEM at 5000× magnification showed that the particle size of chitosan microparticles was not uniform. Chitosan microparticles without and contained extract formula had diameters between 0.40 μm-8.5 μm and 1 μm-6 μm, respectively. Each chitosan microparticles contained extract formula and extract formula had the ACE inhibitory activity of 78.41 %, and 75.73 %, respectively, while the captopryl as an positive control had ACE inhibitory activity of 75.24 %. Wave number peaks of chitosan spectrum was different with microparticles spectrum by using of FTIR analysis. Chitosan microparticles-sodium tripolyphosphate (STP) contained extract formula had absorbance bands of 1652.32 cm-1 (C=O) and 1565.63 cm-1 (C=C, aromatic group of benzene). New absorbance bands also appeared at wave numbers of 1153.82 cm-1 and 1154.66 cm-1 which showed absorbance band of P=O group from STP compound.

Abstract

Research aimed to know the responses of 12 winged bean accessions to reproductive pruning in rainy season, was conducted in experimental station ofagricultural faculty, Padjadjaran University started from November 2008 until May 2009. Experiment was arranged in randomized block design with split-plot pattern and replicated twice. Main plot was reproductive pruning consisted of two levels namely with (p) and without pruning (np). Whereas, sub plot was 12 winged bean accessions. Variables observed were tuber length (cm), tuber diameter (cm), tuber volume (ml), tuber weight per plant (g), number of tuber per plant, and tuber weight per plot (kg). Data were analysed using analysis of variance, if there was significant source of variance, analysis was continued with Scott Knott Cluster Analysis for genotype simple effect and LSD for pruning simple effect, with 5% level respectively. Results showed that there were different responses of each accession to reproductive pruning, especially on characters of tuber diameter, number of tuber per plant, and tuber weight per plant. Eventhough singly, pruning didn’t show significant effect on all characters observed, for tuber diameter, number of tuber per plant, andtuber weight per plot, effectiveness of pruning was seen on several accessions. Single effect of accessions was seen on tuber volume and tuber weight per plant. For tuber length, pruning, accessions and interaction of both, seemed to have no effect on it. Accessions of 8.20, 8.16, 8.29, 8.10, and 8.6 were potential genotypes for tuber production for they had tuber diameter over 2 cm.

Abstract

As a staple food of people in Indonesia, rice reserve must be met sufficiently. The effort to fulfill demand of rice has drawn attention to intensification, extensification as well as diversification programs. Extensification has only possible been carried out in acid soils, having relative low nutrient status, high Fe, Al and Mn saturations. Iron toxicity is one of primary limiting factors to obtain high yielding production in acid soils such as inceptisol and ultisol. Iron toxicity may highly reduce the yield harvested up to 90 %. To correct the low productivity level of acid soil for rice, it is important to apply appropriate technology considerable to soil and indigenous farmer requerements. Some procedures have been practically used to increase the productivity of acid soil and reduce the symptoms of iron toxicity i.e. improvement of rice varieties tolerant to high iron status, application of fertilization in proportional balance in order to overcome negative effects of iron toxicity, otherwise combinations of better control of watering system with providing aerob condition by turns, as wel as appropriate and sustainable use of organic matter.

Abstract

Basically the critical limits of shelf-life of food products, including the fresh-cut Cauliflowers, is safe limit of lowest quality can still be accepted by consumers. The objective of this study was to determine the critical quality parameters that can be used in determining the shelf-life limit of fresh-cut cauliflowers. The study was conducted in Postharvest Laboratory, Indonesian Vegetables Research Institute (IVEGRI) on Februari 2012. Determination of critical limits was carried out through five steps activities as follows: 1) preparing the sample; 2) test of quality parameters in an objective measurement; 3) test of hedonic by the panelists subjectively; 4) test the correlation between hedonic test with several quality variables are measured objectively; and 5) determination of the critical point as the critical limit. The results showed that the quality parameters those can be used as a critical quality parameter are the color (L value on the chromameter) and weight lost to the critical value for each L value is 78.51 for and weight lost is 10%. The use of critical quality parameters in determining the shelf-life of fresh-cut cauliflwers can be done by selecting one of the faster parameter reaches a critical point or can use both of them.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education has so far been considered as one of the important factors to grow and develop the passion, spirit, and entrepreneurial behavior among the younger generation, but an attempt to examine its effectiveness would have been indispensable. For that, need to be investigated are the dominant variables that affect the interest of the students for entrepreneurship. In this case in addition to entrepreneurial learning, have also investigated the extent to which the role of personality and interest in the entrepreneurial environment of vocational students.The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the role of entrepreneurial learning, personality, interest in entrepreneurship and the environment against vocational students in the city of Jakarta. The results show that education does not play a role in fostering interest in entrepreneurship, while the personality and the environment play a role in fostering students' interest in entrepreneurship in vocational Bekasi.
