Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang profil koneksi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Palu dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada materi Teorema Pythagoras ditinjau dari kemampuan matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi (FT), satu siswa berkemampuan matematika sedang (FS), dan satu siswa berkemampuan matematika rendah (MR). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) dalam mengaitkan antarkonsep matematika, subjek FT dan subjek FS menentukan konsep yang terlibat, yaitu konsep luas persegi dan Teorema Pythagoras, dan menjelaskan keterkaitan antarkonsep tersebut; Subjek MR menentukan konsep yang terlibat, tetapi subjek MR tidak dapat menjelaskan keterkaitan antarkonsep tersebut; 2) dalam mengaitkan antara matematika dan disiplin ilmu lain, subjek FT menentukan konsep Teorema Pythagoras pada matematika, konsep perpindahan pada disiplin ilmu lain, dan mengaitkan konsep tersebut untuk menyelesaikan masalah; subjek FS dan subjek MR menggambar segitiga tapi tidak sampai memunculkan konsep Teorema Pythagoras; 3) dalam menghubungkan dan mengaplikasikan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, subjek FT menentukan konsep matematika yang terlibat, yaitu konsep luas trapesium dan Teorema Pythagoras, mengetahui bahwa soal berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan menyelesaikannya; subjek FS dan subjek MR menentukan konsep matematika yang terlibat, mengetahui bahwa soal berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan menyelesaikannya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah trigonometri pokok bahasan aturan sinus dan Cosinus berdasarkan langkah pemecahan masalah Polya, ditinjau dari tingkat kemampuan matematika. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian dipilih berdasarkan hasil ulangan harian matematika semester ganjil. Subjek penelitian sebanyak tiga siswa yaitu satu siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi (ST), satu siswa berkemampuan matematika sedang (SS), dan satu siswa berkemampuan matematika rendah (SR). Hasil penelitian ini adalah (ST) menjawab semua kriteria berpikir kritis Ennis, pada dua tahap penyelesaian masalah, sedangkan (SS) dan (SR) tidak menjawab lengkap kriteria berpikir kritis Ennis di setiap langkah penyelesaian masalah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students misconceptions on the material of algebraic fractions in terms of the cognitive style of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 14 Palu. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 2 students consisting of one student who had a reflective cognitive style and one student who had an impulsive cognitive style, taken from 17 students of class VII Swallow at SMP Negeri 14 Palu. Misconceptions were identified using a written essay test accompanied by the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method and interviews. The results of this study indicate that students who have reflective and impulsive cognitive styles experience misconceptions: (1) students misconceptions with reflective cognitive style occur in connecting between concepts of fractional division operations in algebraic forms, the cause of students misconceptions with reflective cognitive style comes from students wrong thinking and lack of student learning experience, (2) students misconceptions with impulsive cognitive style occur in using the concepts of addition and subtraction and the concept of adding integers, misconceptions in connecting between concepts and misconceptions in interpreting the concept of adding terms like algebraic forms, the cause of students misconceptions with impulsive cognitive style comes from students' wrong thinking, lack of accuracy of students in solving problems, lack of student learning experience and have a wrong understanding of the concept.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much parental attention is paid to class IX students at SMP Negeri 20 Palu and to determine a significant relationship between parental attention and mathematics learning achievement of class IX students at SMP Negeri 20 Palu. This research is a quantitative approach using a correlational design. The population of this study were all grade IX students of SMP Negeri 20 Palu, totaling 154 students. The research sample was obtained using the purposive sampling technique, the number of students who became the sample was 60 students. The data collection technique used parental attention questionnaires and documentation of mathematics learning achievement from student report cards. Based on the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the average parental attention variable was 69.73 (scale 25 - 100) included in the criteria for sufficient attention. The average variable of student learning achievement in mathematics is 81.77 (scale 0 – 100) in the high criteria. Furthermore, the results of data analysis using the product moment correlation test obtained a correlation value of r = 0.402 and a significance value (sig(2-tailed)) of 0.001. This means that there is a significant relationship between parental attention and mathematics learning achievement of class IX students of SMP Negeri 20 Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the completion of fractional story problems for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Palu in terms of introvert and extrovert personality types. This type of research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach based on indicators of creative thinking. The subjects in this study consisted of one student with an introverted personality, and one student with an extroverted personality.The results of this study indicate that: (1) Profi creative thinking students in solving fraction story problems with an introverted personality type (UA subject) obtained information that when UA reads questions repeatedly and understands questions it takes a long time to understand, UA provides a way of solving problems that are generally known by others , UA is not able to produce uniform ideas and different directions of thought, UA cannot provide unusual solutions that are rarely given by most people, UA is not able to develop, add, enrich an idea but solve problems in detail and can be understood by others. (2) Profi creative thinking of students in solving fraction story problems with extrovert personality type (subject BF) obtained information that BF reads the questions 2 times so that they can understand them, BF is able to provide more than one way of solving problems, namely three ways of solving based on the questions given by the researcher, BF was not able to produce uniform ideas but BF was able to direct his thoughts by identifying the questions after reading them, BF could not give answers that were not uncommon or that were rarely given by others because BF said that the solution method he used was the solution method that the teacher had used teach in class, BF is not able to develop, add, expand an idea but BF is able to solve problems in detail and can be understood by others.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical representation skills in solving Social Arithmetic problems at SMPN 18 SPMI Palu Model. This research is a qualitative research with subjects NL, WD, and ID. The results showed that subjects (NL) with high abilities and (ID) with moderate abilities had similar mathematical representation abilities, namely good and good enough in solving problems on Social Arithmetic material and fulfilling all indicators of mathematical representation ability, namely visual representation, verbal representation and representation. symbolic. Meanwhile, subjects (ID) with low ability have poor mathematical representation skills in solving problems on Social Arithmetic material and do not meet all indicators of mathematical representation ability, namely visual representation, verbal representation and symbolic representation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students who experience problems in solving multiplication matrix problems and tend to be passive in the learning process. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which refers to the research design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart namely (1) planning, (2) implementation of action (3) observation and (4) reflection. This study aims to describe the application of the cooperative learning model using structured training methods to improve student learning outcomes in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 7 Palu. The subjects of this study were 32 students of class XI IPA 1, consisting of 15 male students and 18 female students. Of the 32 students, three students were selected as informants with high, medium and low skills. The results of the study the application of cooperative learning models with structured training methods can improve student learning outcomes in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 7 Palu on Matrix Multiplication Material. The results of the final action test cycle I showed that of the 33 students who took the test, there were 11 students who achieved the learning objectives and 22 students did not achieve the learning objectives. The results of the final action test in cycle II showed that the student's score had increased from cycle I. Of the 33 students who took the test, there were 27 students who achieved the learning objectives and 6 students who did not achieve the learning objectives and 1 who did not take the test because they did not attend. From the results of the action test in cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the application of the Quantum Teaching model to improve student learning outcomes on enumeration rules in class XII MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Sirenja. This research is a Classroom Action Research with the design of Kemmis and Mc Taggrat. This research was conducted in two cycles totaling 32 students. In cycle I classical learning completeness was 55.17% while cycle II was 65.62%. The results showed that through the application of the Quantum Teaching model, student learning outcomes improved by following the phases of the Quantum Teaching model, namely (1) enrolling, researchers providing apperception and motivation through powerpoint and video shows (cycle II), (2)experiencing, students working on worksheets with their groups and playing them. music as a sign of starting worksheets, (3) labeling, students make conclusions from the worksheets with their groups, (4) demonstrating, the researcher directs the students to discuss the rules of enumeration, (5) reviewing, the students convey the essence of the material they have learned, (6) celebrating, the researcher plays the game and gives awards to the students.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of solving geometry problems of male and female students who have dominant mathematical logical intelligence. The Subjects of this research consisted of a male student (S1) and a female student (S2) of X grade students of SMAN Model Terpadu Madani Palu who had dominant mathematical logical intelligence. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The solving geometry problems data of the two subjects were obtained through geometry problems and unstructured interviews. The results showed that in completing SG1: S1 was more dominant in using his spatial abilities in solving SG1 01, SG1 03A, SG1 03B, and SG1 04, as well as integrating spatial abilities and mathematical logical abilities in solving SG1 02. Meanwhile, S2 is more dominant in using her spatial abilities in solving SG1 01 and SG1 04, integrating spatial abilities and mathematical logical abilities in solving SG1 02, and more dominantly using mathematical logical abilities in solving SG1 03A and SG1 03B.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is describe the application of realistic mathematical approaches on the cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) to improve student learning outcomes in material VIIA MTs Negeri 1 Donggala. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) and the design uses the Kemmis and Mc models. Taggart, with its stages namely : planning, implementing action, observing and reflecting. The subjects werw all studens of class VIIA, totaling 28 students. The study was conducted in two cycles. Based on the results of the final action test, the percentage of classical completeness of students in the first cycle was 55,55% and the percentage of classical completeness of students in the observations if the teachers and students in the first cycle were in the good category and in the second cycle were very good category. From the research results obtained it can be concluded that learning by applying a realistic mathematical approach to the cooperative learning model type student teams achievement ivision can improve stud ent learning outcomes in comparison material in class VIIA MTs Negeri 1 Donggala, by following the steps (1) the phase of accomplishing objectives and motivating, (2) the phase of presenting or conveying information (3) the phase of organizing students into study groups, (4) the phase of guiding work and study groups, (4) the phase of guiding work and study groups and (5) the evaluation phase.
