Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Talking Stick dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar persamaan garis lurus siswa kelas VIII sudirman SMP negeri 1 sindue. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII Sudirman yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang setiap siklusnya terdiri dari empat komponen yaitu: Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan tindakan, Observasi, dan Refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Talking Stick dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar persamaan garis lurus siswa kelas VIII sudirman SMP negeri 1 sindue dengan tahapannya yaitu: menyampaikan tujuan dan mempersiapkan siswa, menyajikan informasi, Mengorganisir siswa ke dalam kelompok belajar, Membantu kerja kelompok dan belajar, Mengevaluasi, Memberikan penghargaan. Hasil akhir tindakan siklus I menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 65% dan hasil tes akhir tindakan siklus II menjadi 82%. Skor total aktivitas guru pada siklus I sebesar 51 meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 65. Skor total aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 47 meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 65.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitan kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil pemahaman konsep siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan garis lurus ditinjau dari kemampuan matematika. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu, siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi dalam mengklasifikasikan konsep persamaan garis lurus berdasarkan bentuk umum persamaan garis lurus. Selanjutnya, dalam mengidentifikasi sifat-sifat operasi dan konsep siswa menggunakan sifat distributif dan operasi hitung aljabar. Kemudian dalam menerapkan konsep persamaan garis lurus secara logis, siswa menerapakan rumus yang telah diketahui sebelumnya untuk menyelesaiakan soal. Selanjutnya dalam memberi contoh dan bukan contoh dari persamaan garis lurus, siswa menjelaskan bahwa contoh dari persamaan garis lurus yaitu persamaan yang memiliki 2 variabel dan yang bukan contoh persamaan garis lurus yaitu persamaan yang tidak memiliki 2 variabel. Kemudian, dalam menyajikan konsep persamaan garis lurus dalam berbagai bentuk representasi matematis. Siswa menyajikan konsep persamaan garis lurus dalam bentuk model matematika.Siswa berkemampuan matematika sedang dalam mengklasifikasikan konsep persamaan garis lurus berdasarkan bentuk umum persamaan garis lurus. Selanjutnya, dalam mengidentifikasi sifat-sifat operasi dan konsep siswa menggunakan sifat distributif dan operasi hitung aljabar. Kemudian dalam menerapkan konsep persamaan garis lurus secara logis, siswa menerapkan rumus yang diketahui sebelumnya untuk menyelesaikan soal. Selanjutnya dalam memberi contoh dan bukan contoh dari persamaan garis lurus, siswa menjelaskan bahwa contoh dari persamaan garis lurus yaitu persamaan yang berpangkat 1 dan yang bukan contoh persamaan garis lurus yaitu persamaan yang memliki pangkat lebih dari 1. Kemudian, dalam menyajikan konsep persamaan garis lurus dalam berbagai bentuk representasi matematis. Siswa menyajikan masalah persamaan garis lurus dalam bentuk model matematika. Siswa berkemampuan matematika rendah tidak dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan. Siswa tidak mengetahui cara atau rumus yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan. Siswa hanya mengetahui apa yang diketahui dari masalah yang diberikan.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) To describe the analogical reasoning of class XI MAN 1 Poso students in the material of geometric sequences from field independent cognitive style and field dependent cognitive style. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were two students of class XI MIPA MAN 1 Poso even semester 2021/2022 consisting of one RM student with FI cognitive style and one FN student with FD cognitive style. The students' cognitive style data was obtained by giving the GEFT test, while the students' analogy reasoning data were collected from the analogy reasoning test and interviews. The results of this study indicate that (1) field independent cognitive style students' RM fulfills all stages in each indicator of analogical reasoning and can explain the analogy used, namely in the source and target problems there are similarities or analogies in the solution, namely using the nth term formula. in the geometric sequence, namely  so it is included in high analogical reasoning. (2) While the field dependent cognitive style students' FN tend to be less able to fulfill all stages of each indicator of analogical reasoning. At the applying stage, FN has not been able to apply the relational structure of the source problem in solving the target problem, and tends not to be able to explain the analogy used. because it can't explain the analogy used so FN is included in moderate analogy reasoning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of students' problem-solving abilities on rhombus material in class VII SMPN 6 Banawa in terms of gender differences. This study uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach based on the problem solving steps proposed by Polya. The results of this study indicate that male and female subjects in solving mathematical problems on rhombus material are as follows. (1) in understanding the problem, male and female subjects read the problem repeatedly, to determine what is known and asked in the question. (2) in planning problem solving, male and female subjects have the same solution, namely by assuming and using the formula for the area of ​​a rhombus. (3) in carrying out the problem-solving plan, male and female subjects solved the problem according to the plan that had been made previously, namely by using the formula for the area of ​​a rhombus but the male subject could not find the final answer. (4) in re-examining the answers of male and female subjects, write down how to check answers, using the substitution method, namely substituting the value obtained into the rhombus formula if there is a similarity in the results between the left and right sides then the answer is considered correct but the subject is male. unable to re-check the answers obtained, this is because male subjects cannot solve the problems given.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of errors made by high-ability students and low-ability students in solving integer arithmetic operations. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were taken 2 of 31 students of grade VII Hasan Bahasoan SMPN Model Terpadu Madani Palu, which consisted of one high-ability student and one low-ability student. The results of this study were (1) errors made by the Constitutional Court subject in the form of procedural errors, namely the Constitutional Court subject did not arrange hierarchical and systematic steps in solving integer arithmetic operations. (2) errors made by the subject IW in the form of a conceptual error, namely the subject IW did not understand the concepts, terms and theorems of integer arithmetic operations in solving problems. IW subjects also made procedural errors, namely IW subjects were unable to manipulate the steps in solving problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe of  problem solving of Students Class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Palu in Solving the Narrative Test of Linear Equations in Two Variables in terms of Adversity Quotient (AQ). This type of research was qualitative. The subject in this research was three student class VIII SMP    Negeri 7 Palu in even semester of the academic year of 2021/2022 which consisted of student each of the climber type, the camper type, and the quitter type. Data about students’ problem solving were collected by written tests and interviews, while data about students’ adversity quotient were obtained by giving ARP questionnaires. The results of this research show that (1) problem solving climber type students are able to carry out the stage of understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan of solving and looking back, (2) problem solving camper type students are able to carry out the stage of understanding the problem, devising a plan, and carrying out the plan of solving, (3) problem solving quitter type students are able to carry out the stage of understanding the problem and devising a plan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the Application of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Type of Cooperative Learning Model which can improve the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class VII MTs Politani Maccirinnae Tikke in material on Algebraic Operations. The research subjects were 30 students of class VII, consisting of 11 male students and 19 female students, and three students were selected as informants. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the application of the TAI-type cooperative learning model could improve student learning outcomes in material for algebraic operations in class VII MTs Politani Maccirinnae Tikke by following the phases of cooperative learning, namely: at the first meeting 1) conveying goals and motivating students, the teacher conveys material and learning objectives and motivate students to be enthusiastic and actively involved in learning. Next, provide apperception by reminding the material previously studied, 2) present information, the teacher briefly describes the phases of the TAI type cooperative learning model that will be applied in learning, then the teacher distributes worksheets to be worked on individually, 3) organizes students into groups -study groups, the teacher divides students into 5 study groups (Teams), 4) guides the work and study groups, the teacher gives new LKPD to each group and conveys that individual work results are discussed in groups. The results of the discussion are concluded in the answers to the LKPD (Team Study), 5) Evaluation, the teacher appoints groups in turn to present the results of their group discussions (Whole Class Unit), 6) gives awards, the teacher announces the best group from group learning results and gives awards in the form of applause (Team Score and Team Recognition), and at the second meeting the teacher gave a final action test (Fact Test). This is indicated by the percentage of students' classical completeness in cycle I of 57.14% increasing to 80.76% in cycle II. The results of observations of teacher activity in cycle I were in the good category with a total score of 37 and an increase in cycle II was in the very good category with a total score of 45. The results of observations of student activity in cycle I were in the good category with a total score of 36 and an increase in cycle II is in the very good category with a total score of 45.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the problem-solving profile of junior high school students as they solve PISA problems with a quantity content. The type of this Research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. There were two students in this research as subject, both having high and medium ability levels. Data were collected by test and interview methods. Problem solving in this research refers to Polya's problem solving steps. The results of the research show: (1) At the step of understanding the problem, students with high and medium ability levels can identify things that are known and asked at the given problem; (2) At the step of devising a problem-solving plan, students with high and medium ability levels can explain the problem-solving plan and relate it to what is known and asked about the problem so that it leads to problem solving; (3) At the step of carrying out  the problem-solving plan, students with high and medium ability levels can write down the steps of completion based on the solution plan that has been made and obtain the final result; (4) At the step of looking back  the process and results of problem solving, students with high and medium ability levels can adjust the answers obtained with the questions asked in the problem and can make conclusions at the end of solving the problem.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the problem solving profile of SPLTV students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Banawa Tengah in terms of mathematical ability. This study uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were 3 students, namely students who had high, medium and low mathematical abilities based on the problem solving steps proposed by Polya. The results obtained indicate that: (1) Students who have high mathematical abilities use all stages of Polya in solving SPLTV problems. (2) Students who have moderate mathematical ability have not been able to use all of Polya's stages in solving SPLTV problems, the stages in question are in the re-examination stage. However, the subject gives his opinion by explaining using his own language why not re-examine the results of the completion of the given problem. (3) Students who have low mathematical abilities have not been able to go through all the stages of Polya in solving problems, the subject is only able to go through the stage of understanding the problem but the subject needs to read and pay attention to the information on the problem repeatedly.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical representation of geometry flat  side at SMP Negeri 02 Baras. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were grade IX students of SMP Negeri 02 Baras which consisted of one student with high math ability and one student with low math ability. Collecting data by giving assignments and interviews. The results of this study are: (1) Students' mathematical representation on visual representation for students with high mathematical abilities to solve problems by making pictures of geometric patterns to clarify and facilitate completion, students with high mathematical abilities make geometric patterns according to the problem given, namely drawing cubes and pyramids, while students with low math skills do not draw geometric patterns to clarify and facilitate completion. (2) Students' mathematical representation on symbolic representation for students with high and low mathematical abilities to solve problems involving mathematical expressions, namely determining the formula used using mathematical symbols and performing number operations correctly. (3) The students' mathematical representation on the verbal representation for students with high mathematical abilities explains the steps for solving mathematical problems in written and oral texts, while students with low mathematical abilities are still wrong in determining the steps for solving them.
