Abstract

The Independent Curriculum has a program called the Driving School Program, the Driving School is the catalyst to realize the vision of Indonesia Education, a school that focuses on developing student learning outcomes holistically by realizing the Pancasila Student Profile, starting with superior Human Resources This research is included in the type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Initial socialization of the new curriculum was carried out to educators, students, and parents in the education unit. Educators will receive training from the ministry of education through IHT and PMM programs. Socialization to students and parents will explain the new curriculum system, changes in class majors, and improvement of the Pancasila Student Profile. Adjustments to new mindsets and methods are needed to understand curriculum changes. The school strives to develop the Operational Curriculum of the Education Unit (KOSP) and CP and TP to ensure meaningful and enjoyable learning. The learning tools involve teaching modules, project modules, and teaching materials according to the needs of students. Schools face obstacles in implementing the independent curriculum, ranging from the mindset to the readiness of schools, educators, students, and parents. The development of CP in each school is adjusted to the environment and the needs of students. The design of modules in the curriculum is more flexible but poses problems in its creation. The cost of implementing the project is also an issue, especially for schools with P5 projects and learning.

Abstract

Higher Level Thinking Ability (HOTS) is the ability of students to interpret their knowledge in solving a problem through the process of analysis, evaluation and creating ideas from the problems presented. This study aims to identify the development of a Mathematics Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) assessment instrument. This review research uses bibliometric methods and a qualitative approach in reviewing journals in 2019-2023. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that the development of the HOTS instrument was carried out based on the questions available at school which were less varied, the questions were still at the comprehension stage, teachers did not yet understand how to make HOTS questions, students' abilities. One form of assessment developed is test questions with multiple choice instrument types, descriptions and authentic assessments. The test questions developed pay attention to HOTS characteristics such as paying attention to HOTS indicators, KKO, mathematical problems and stimuli, as well as Bloom's taxonomy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mathematical problem solving ability of eighth grade students at MTs al-Munawarah using the Polya procedure on the material of two-variable linear equation systems. Data collected through problem solving ability tests and interviews. Indicators of problem solving ability based on Polya include; understanding the problem, planning problem solving, implementing the solution and rechecking. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis show that subjects with high ability are able to fulfill the Polya procedure indicators well and show significant improvement. Furthermore, subjects with moderate ability are only able to fulfill three indicators in the Polya procedure, namely the fourth indicator is rechecking the subject does not recheck the answers that have been completed. While low ability subjects can only fulfill one indicator, namely the subject is able to understand the problem in the question, but low ability subjects still have difficulty in compiling and implementing problem solving and do not recheck the answers.
