Abstract

Enhanced Recovery After Caesarean Section (ERACS) is an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach aimed at accelerating postoperative recovery without compromising patient safety. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method through a narrative literature review. The findings highlight three key factors for successful ERACS implementation: clinical autonomy of obstetricians, which allows for more adaptive and patient-centered decisions; patient experience, supported by effective communication and involvement in decision-making; and hospital efficiency, including optimized scheduling, resource availability, and interprofessional collaboration. These components are interrelated and mutually reinforce ERACS outcomes. Recommendations include continuous training for healthcare providers, development of evidence-based clinical guidelines, and increased patient engagement.

Abstract

The effectiveness of employee interpersonal communication is the ability of employees to communicate in a way that can improve understanding and avoid misunderstandings. This study aims to determine employee interpersonal communication and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in employee interpersonal communication at the Gowa Regency Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Cryptography Service. This research approach is a qualitative research approach and a descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, and verification techniques. The results of this study indicate that all indicators used in the study of employee interpersonal communication effectiveness at the Gowa Regency Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Cryptography Service are classified as effective. This is evidenced by the trust indicator being classified as effective because the relationship between employees in an office is based on mutual trust and shared perceptions among other employees. The honesty indicator is classified as effective because employees demonstrate honest attitudes and behaviors by providing true and accurate information to coworkers. The supportive attitude indicator is classified as effective because there is a caring attitude for all parties that can be felt by providing motivation. The open attitude indicator is classified as effective because the delivery of information is conveyed clearly and states the actual situation openly. This study presents new information by linking detailed theories and different research loci from previous studies regarding the effectiveness of employee interpersonal communication so that it can be used as evaluation material for research loci to improve the quality of employee interpersonal communication.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of transformational leadership and work motivation on employee performance, emphasizing the mediating role of work discipline. Transformational leadership refers to a leader’s ability to inspire, encourage, and motivate members to achieve optimal performance and continuous improvement. The objectives of this research are sevenfold: (i) to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on performance, (ii) to examine the effect of work motivation on performance, (iii) to assess the relationship between transformational leadership and work discipline, (iv) to determine the influence of work motivation on work discipline, (v) to evaluate the effect of work discipline on performance, (vi) to investigate how transformational leadership impacts performance through work discipline, and (vii) to explore how work motivation affects performance through work discipline. The study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach, involving 300 police personnel as respondents. Sampling was conducted using the Slovin formula with proportional random sampling to ensure balanced representation across strata or regions. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results indicate that transformational leadership and work motivation both have a positive and significant effect on performance. Work discipline also plays a vital role in enhancing performance directly. Additionally, work motivation significantly contributes to improving work discipline. The findings further reveal that transformational leadership indirectly improves performance through the mediating effect of work discipline. Overall, the study underscores the importance of transformational leadership and motivation as key drivers in fostering disciplined behavior and optimizing employee performance within law enforcement organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) in alleviating poverty and achieving food self-sufficiency in Lampoko Village, Barebbo District, Bone Regency, and to identify barriers and effective empowerment strategies. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation of KWT activities. The results indicate that KWT plays a strategic role in household food security through the use of yards as production spaces and strengthening social solidarity among members. However, KWT faces various technical, structural, and social barriers, including limited land, capital, agricultural knowledge and technology, organizational management, women's double burden, limited market access, and minimal institutional support. This study recommends an integrated empowerment strategy that includes increasing access to resources, strengthening technical and managerial capacity, reducing the burden of dual roles, developing market access, and strengthening institutional support to ensure program sustainability. Implementation of this strategy is expected to expand women's agency, improve family welfare, strengthen food self-sufficiency, and affirm KWT's position as a strategic actor in village development.

Abstract

Public service is a key indicator of government performance directly felt by the public, yet in practice, many fundamental problems remain, including in population administration services at the Bone Regency Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil). This study aims to analyze the application of accountability principles in population administration services and to formulate strategies that can improve the quality and legitimacy of public services in the region. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed using triangulation and pattern matching techniques. The results show that the Bone Disdukcapil has implemented several innovations, such as service digitization, sub-district-based programs, information transparency, and the operation of the Public Service Mall. However, various obstacles remain, including limited digital infrastructure, low public technological literacy, scarcity of ID forms, limited number of officers, and suboptimal participatory complaint and evaluation mechanisms. These findings indicate that public service accountability strategies are still top-down and need to be reformulated with an emphasis on community participation, transparency, and cross-actor collaboration. This study concludes that strengthening human resource capacity, improving digital infrastructure, strengthening formal complaint channels, and implementing participatory evaluation mechanisms are key to building more inclusive, transparent, and accountable population administration services in Bone Regency

Abstract

This study addresses the critical challenge of maintaining Workplace Resilience among Indonesian employees facing unprecedented market volatility and technological disruption, an issue underscored by global reports (WEF, 2024). Although existing theory supports Dynamic Capabilities at the organizational level (Teece, 2018) and Psychological Capital (Luthans, 2020) at the individual level, a significant gap remains in providing practical coping strategies relevant to Indonesia’s specific local work dynamics. The research adopted a qualitative-exploratory approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with 18 High Performers (HiPo) in the Indonesian MNC and startup sectors, with the aim of formulating and validating an evidence-based conceptual model: "The Office Survival Pack." Thematic analysis revealed that this Survival Pack consists of three integrated dimensions: Cognitive Resilience (characterized by the 'Controllable Focus' strategy), Emotional-Behavioral Resilience (driven by 'Micro De-escalation Strategies' for real-time stress management), and Relational Resilience (involving informal 'Professional Mentoring Hubs'). The findings demonstrate that these strategies were developed by individuals to fill the void left by generic organizational support, thus the structured Survival Pack model provides realistic strategic guidance for employees to move from merely surviving to excelling amidst workplace uncertainty.
