Abstract

Motivation to learn can be interpreted as a desire that arises in a person to carry out learning activities in order to obtain the expected goals. This desire comes from outside yourself or comes from within a person. One of the internal factors that influence learning motivation is locus of control (LoC). LoC is a person's self-control towards the success he achieves in his daily activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the direct effect of LoC on student learning motivation. This type of research is a causal survey with path analysis type. The number of research samples were 95 students who were selected by multistage random sampling randomly from 1729 students. The results of the study of LoC variables and learning motivation were collected through an attitude scale then processed statistically. The description of the results of the student learning motivation data reached an average of 121.97, the standard deviation value was 121.97, the mode value was 114.77, the median value was 118.39; with 43 students (45%) obtaining scores below the mean interval. It was obtained that 34 students (36%) obtained the value lies in the average interval score, as many as 18 students (19%) achieved a value above the average interval. The results of the independent variable data (LoC) achieved an average value of 150.89, a median value of 158, 57, a mode value of 146.64 and a standard deviation of 25.53, with 42 students (44%) obtaining a score below the average interval . As many as 19 students (20%) obtained scores that were located on the average interval, then 34 students (36%) obtained scores above the average interval. Based on the results of data analysis, it is concluded that LoC has a positive direct effect on the learning motivation of students at State Junior High Schools in Gorontalo City. The creation of student learning motivation is influenced by their LoC.

Abstract

The study tries to investigate the types of grammatical error of time and place prepositions, and to notice the error percent of the tenth-grade students of State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 1 Bandar Lampung, Lampung Indonesia. The research design is descriptive qualitative using an error analysis (EA) framework. There were 31 students as the research participant chosen by using purposive sampling procedure. The data were obtained from documentation of learners’ essay writing and analyzed using Surface Strategy Taxonomy to categorize them. In addition, the writer calculated the proportion of errors found. The findings indicate that students made 27 items (25%) of omission, 25 items (24 %) of addition, 30 items (28%) of misformation, 24 items (23%) of misordering. Errors of misformation were found the most, whereas the errors of misordering were found the least. The errors were often caused by L1 interference, carelessness, and literal translation. Certain pedagogical implications along with the research suggestions were also discussed.

Abstract

This research investigates how consumption values influence changes in consumer behavior, specifically among non-working housewives in Gresik Regency, in their utilization of food delivery applications (FDAs). A qualitative case study methodology was adopted, featuring in-depth interviews with non-working housewives who have used FDAs at least three times. Data collection involved participant observation, interviews, and document analysis, with thematic analysis employed for data interpretation. Findings reveal that both functional and epistemic values significantly influence consumer behavior. Functional value, characterized by convenience, time efficiency, and a diverse range of meal options, serves as a primary motivator for housewives preferring FDAs over traditional cooking. Furthermore, epistemic value is important, as users rely on reviews, ratings, and promotions to inform their decisions. Although some participants expressed concerns about pricing and occasional order cancellations, FDAs have become essential for meal planning among those seeking convenience and variety. This study sheds light on the consumption patterns of non-working housewives and provides practical recommendations for businesses in the food delivery sector to improve consumer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

This study examines the trends in research on the implementation of mobile waste bank applications for waste management in the digital era in Indonesia from 2019 to 2023. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer to identify keyword co-occurrence and the clustering of related topics. The findings reveal that research on mobile waste bank applications has seen a significant increase in publications, with a peak of 120 articles in 2022. However, a decline in publications was observed in 2023, with only 80 articles published. The most cited article in this field, "Systematic Literature Review Method for Identifying Platforms and Information System Development Methods in Indonesia" by Triandini et al., (2019), has garnered 490 citations. The analysis further identifies eight clusters with a total of 25 items, reflecting diverse themes within the application of mobile waste banks. Prominent themes include "waste bank," "digital waste management," and "waste bank system," indicating that these areas have been widely researched. However, certain topics, such as "smart waste saving," "organic and inorganic waste management," and "waste bank online systems," remain underexplored. These underrepresented themes present significant opportunities for further research. Overall, the study suggests a positive trend in research on mobile waste banks, highlighting the potential for future development and innovation in digital waste management systems. The findings provide valuable insights for future studies and the advancement of waste bank applications in Indonesia.
