Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Direct Instruction learning model on students' learning outcomes in the material of environmental conservation procedures in building construction work. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consists of two classes, each serving as the experimental and control groups, selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument is a learning outcome test in the form of multiple-choice questions, which have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes in the experimental class compared to the control class. The application of the Direct Instruction model has proven to be effective in helping students understand the concepts, steps, and procedures of environmental conservation related to building construction work. This study recommends the use of the Direct Instruction model as one alternative learning strategy to improve learning outcomes in construction engineering subjects.

Abstract

Human Rights (HAM) are fundamental rights universally possessed by every individual regardless of race, religion, or social status. In the perspective of international law, human rights are regulated through various instruments such as the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and other international agreements. Meanwhile, in the national context, human rights in Indonesia are guaranteed by the constitution and various legislations, including Law Number 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights. This study aims to analyze the influence of international law on the implementation of human rights in Indonesia, focusing on the harmonization of national regulations with international principles. The method used is a qualitative-descriptive approach through literature review and analysis of legal documents. The findings show that although Indonesia has adopted various international instruments, challenges such as inconsistent law enforcement and lack of public awareness of human rights remain major obstacles. This research is expected to contribute to strengthening human rights protection at the national level through enhanced implementation and effective legal oversight.

Abstract

Corruption is one of the most serious and complex issues in the legal and governmental systems. This study aims to analyze the legal aspects of corruption, including its causes, impacts, and preventive measures. Using a normative-juridical approach, this research examines anti-corruption laws, weaknesses in law enforcement, and the roles of relevant institutions. The causes of corruption include weak oversight, a permissive bureaucratic culture, and a lack of moral integrity. The proposed preventive solutions include strengthening law enforcement, promoting transparency in public administration, implementing anti-corruption education, and enhancing institutional capacities. This study is expected to contribute to the formulation of more effective policies in combating corruption.

Abstract

Citizenship Education (PKn) plays a strategic role in shaping young generations with strong character. Through this education, students are taught moral values, ethics, and nationalism, which serve as the foundation for building a harmonious and civilized society. Citizenship Education aims to instill a love for the homeland, legal awareness, and social responsibility. Moreover, PKn contributes to strengthening national identity and fostering a spirit of tolerance in diversity. In the modern context, this education serves as a means to face the challenges of globalization while preserving the nation's noble values. By integrating interactive and relevant learning, Citizenship Education can produce generations who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess integrity and strong character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the community's contribution to supporting the implementation of a clean government. A clean government requires active community participation in various aspects, such as oversight, transparency, and accountability. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques, observation, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the community plays a significant role in promoting governmental transparency and accountability through reporting irregularities, participating in decision-making processes, and supporting anti-corruption policies. Additionally, the role of education and media is also a significant factor in raising public awareness of the importance of clean governance. The conclusion of this study is that collaboration between the government and the community can create a conducive environment for achieving clean and integrity-driven governance.

Abstract

Citizenship Education (Civic Education) plays a significant role in shaping democracy awareness among adolescents. This study aims to analyze the impact of Citizenship Education on adolescents' understanding and participation in democracy. Using a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey of 120 high school students, the study found that the majority of students had a good understanding of democratic principles, although their involvement in socio-political activities outside of school remained low. Effective Citizenship Education, especially when based on discussions, simulations, and case studies, was found to enhance students' democracy awareness. However, challenges were found in the implementation of less varied methods and the negative influence of social media. The study recommends updating the Citizenship Education curriculum and strengthening digital media literacy to improve democracy awareness among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the process of internalizing Pancasila values in shaping student character in the digital era. Using a qualitative approach and case study method at several universities in Indonesia, the research explores how Pancasila values are understood, experienced, and practiced by students in both academic settings and daily life. The findings reveal that the internalization process is more effective when carried out through participatory, contextual, and experience-based approaches. Additionally, digital technology holds great potential to support this process, provided that it is accompanied by digital literacy and appropriate pedagogical strategies. The main challenges include the lack of integration of Pancasila values into all aspects of campus life and the negative influence of digital content that contradicts national values. Therefore, the role of lecturers, campus environment, and wise use of technology are key to successfully forming student character grounded in the noble values of Pancasila.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of legal education as a preventive effort to reduce criminal behavior in school environments. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed to explore in depth the practice of legal education at a selected public junior high school. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and were analyzed interactively. The findings indicate that legal education has been integrated into formal classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and collaborations with local law enforcement. These initiatives have contributed to an increased legal awareness among students and a noticeable reduction in minor offenses such as bullying and verbal abuse. However, challenges remain in the form of limited curriculum time, inadequate teacher competence in legal topics, and insufficient external support. Therefore, legal education should be strengthened systematically to foster students’ legal awareness and social responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to identify effective teaching strategies in Civics Education (PPKn) for fostering religious tolerance among secondary school students. The research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and document analysis techniques. The results indicate that teaching strategies based on discussions, collaborative projects, and case studies are effective in building tolerance among students. The role of teachers as facilitators, guiding open discussions on religious diversity, also plays a significant role in creating an inclusive learning environment. However, challenges related to stereotypes and prejudices outside the school environment still need further attention. The study concludes that Civics Education, which emphasizes tolerance values, can produce more inclusive students who appreciate differences, but continuous support from all stakeholders is necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the understanding of Indonesian citizens regarding their rights and obligations as pillars for strengthening national character. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and observations in several locations across Indonesia. The results show that the public has a better understanding of their rights compared to their obligations. Urban communities tend to be more aware of their rights, while rural communities focus more on their obligations. However, both groups still lack understanding of the relationship between rights and obligations, which should complement each other. This study recommends improving the quality of civic education with a more practical and experiential approach, as well as the need for teacher training to deliver more engaging and contextual material. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective civic education policies in Indonesia.
