Abstract

The rapid development of technology can certainly affect the lives of generation Z. Current technology has a negative impact on human life. Objective: To describe several research results on the use of social media and mental health of generation Z. Method: The method used in this writing is a literature review which is a systematic, explicit and reproducible method for identifying, evaluating and synthesizing research works and the results of ideas that have been produced by researchers and practitioners. Results: The duration of social media use turns out to have an effect on mental health. Zhao & Zhou (2020) stated that higher social media use is associated with worse mental health. Research such as Bashir & Bhat (2017) suggests several mental illness problems related to the use of social media, including stress, anxiety, depression and loneliness. Research by Heri et al (2021) shows that there is a positive correlation between the intensity of social media use and stress levels. The American College Health Association (2011) found that approximately 30% of college students reported feeling depressed due to social media use. Research in Wuhan, China in 2020 by Gao, showed the impact of social media use on mental health by finding a prevalence of depression of 48%, anxiety of 23%, and a combination of depression and anxiety of 18%. Conclusion: social media can have positive and negative impacts depending on its use, and what we now know is that most social media users, almost all social media users, have an impact on health, especially mental health, on generation Z.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where a toddler's weight is smaller or his height is shorter than that of toddlers his age. Stunting cases in Pati Regency still exist with a prevalence of 20.6% in 18 village loci. Stunting cases that occur in Pati Regency are mostly caused by parents' wrong parenting patterns. If this problem is not addressed immediately, it can result in children experiencing mental, psychomotor and intellectual disabilities, and can affect the level of human resources in these fields. Therefore, the campaign needs to be carried out through public service advertisements. The research method in this design is qualitative with data collection using interviews and literature studies. The analytical method used is framing analysis which is used to find the main statement of the advertisement. The results of this research are in the form of a basic advertising statement in the form of an appeal to mothers with children in Pati district that they need to re-examine their hereditary beliefs. If there are parenting beliefs that conflict with health theory, then the mother must have the courage to stop that parenting pattern.

Abstract

Traditional herbal medicine, known as 'Jamu,' is prohibited from containing pharmaceutical chemical substances (BKO) by the Indonesian Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM). In October 2022, BPOM released a public warning after discovering the presence of phenylbutazone and dexamethasone in a muscle pain relief jamu product. The purpose of this research is to establish a valid method for identifying phenylbutazone and dexamethasone in jamu pegal linu. In this study, the method was applied to 10 brands of muscle pain relief jamu samples. The samples were extracted with methanol and then spotted in a quantity of 5 μl on a silica gel 60 F254 plate, eluted with a selected mobile phase, namely ethyl acetate: methanol: ammonia (8.5:1:0.5, v/v/v). Spots were observed with a densitometry at λ240 nm. Phenylbutazone appeared at Rf 0.33, and dexamethasone at Rf 0.77, with a resolution value (Rs) of 5,8. The detection limits for phenylbutazone were 8,5307 μg/ml (0,1706 mg/600 mg capsule) and for dexamethasone, 8,7611 μg/ml (0,1752/600 mg capsule). The results revealed that two samples tested positive for both phenylbutazone and dexamethasone, while six samples tested positive for dexamethasone.
