Abstract

The objective of the research is to uncover the factors shaping customer attitudes and intentions towards using Islamic banking products in Indonesia after the COVID-19 pandemic. A preliminary study identified the factors shaping attitudes, including bank image, social norms, and compliance with Sharia law. This study also revealed differences in Indonesian customers’ intentions towards using Islamic banking products before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Data collection used an online survey involving 479 Islamic banking customers in Indonesia. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used for data analysis. The results indicate that attitudes can predict Indonesian customers’ intentions towards using Islamic banking products. The most influential factor influencing Indonesian customers’ attitudes towards using Islamic banking products is social norms. This study demonstrates the importance of reference groups and bank image in shaping attitudes and intentions, suggesting that banks should leverage these aspects to expand their customer base. This study also provides insights into individual decision-making and the importance of a social approach for banks in advertising. By confirming all TPB-related hypotheses, the study empirically validates and extends multi-attribute attitude model, Theory of Reasoned Action, Theory of Planned Behavior in the context of Sharia banking adoption after a global crisis. It demonstrates those model theories are reliable and adaptable framework for explaining Islamic financial behavior in emerging markets and during periods of economic disruption.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of design, performance, and user reviews on consumer engagement and continuance intention, with situational factors serving as a moderating variable in the context of food ordering applications. To explain consumer engagement and continuance intention as behavioral outcomes shaped by app-related cues and internal user evaluations, this study draws on consumer behavior theory. The Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) model is used as the conceptual framework. Empirical study using quantitative cross-sectional technique is conducted on 338 respondents from nine major cities in Indonesia. PLS-SEM is used to examine data. The findings show that design, performance, and user reviews significantly influence user engagement, with app performance having the strongest effect. Engagement significantly predicts continuance intention, while situational factors moderate this relationship. Managerially, food-ordering platforms should focus on app stability and speed, enhance trust signals, manage user reviews strategically, and design situational features that address delivery uncertainty and time pressure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital transformation and fintech utilization on the financial sustainability of culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with digital financial literacy as a mediating variable. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach involving 250 MSME owners and financial managers in Salatiga, Semarang, and Rembang. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that digital transformation and fintech utilization have positive and significant effects on digital financial literacy. Furthermore, digital financial literacy significantly influences the financial sustainability of culinary MSMEs. The findings also confirm that digital financial literacy plays an important mediating role in strengthening the relationship between technology adoption and financial sustainability. These results suggest that technology adoption becomes more effective when supported by adequate financial knowledge and digital skills. This study provides practical implications for policymakers and MSME practitioners to strengthen digital and financial literacy programs in order to enhance sustainable business performance.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the investment performance of Decentralized Finance (DeFi), equities (IHSG), and gold during the 2021–2024 period, which represents a full market cycle characterized by high volatility and economic uncertainty. The research objective is to evaluate differences in return, risk (volatility), risk adjusted performance, and inter asset correlations to assess portfolio diversification potential. A quantitative comparative approach is employed using monthly secondary data, analyzed through descriptive statistics, non-parametric difference tests, and correlation analysis. The findings indicate statistically significant differences among the three investment instruments. Gold demonstrates the highest risk efficiency and consistently performs as a safe haven asset. Equities show moderate stability but relatively lower risk adjusted performance. In contrast, DeFi records the highest average returns, accompanied by extreme volatility and low efficiency. Correlation results reveal a strong positive relationship between gold and equities, while DeFi exhibits significant negative correlations with both assets, indicating diversification potential despite elevated systemic risk. This study concludes that gold remains the most resilient investment asset, equities serve as a balanced growth instrument, and DeFi should be positioned as a high risk speculative asset rather than a core portfolio component.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing consumers’ switching intention from traditional banking services to digital banks using the Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM) framework. Although the PPM framework is widely used in digital banking research, prior studies remain fragmented in their application and often rely on crosssectional surveys that primarily measure switching intention, limiting a comprehensive understanding of switching determinants. This study analyzes primary data collected through questionnaires from 610 respondents using purposive sampling, with 71% of respondents already using digital banks. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that Pull Factors and Mooring Factors have a significant positive effect on individuals’ intention to adopt digital banks, while Push Factors have no significant effect. These findings suggest that the attractiveness of digital banking services and personal considerations play important roles in encouraging digital bank adoption. Strengthening public literacy, branding, and digital security assurance is recommended to accelerate adoption.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of Strategic Integration in the relationship between Ambidextrous Capability and both Organizational Agility and Sustainable Value Creation among Indonesian natural resource companies under ESG pressure. Employing PLS-SEM analysis on pooled data of 130 firm-year observations from 65 companies during the 2023-2024 period, data were collected through content analysis of Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports using the Strategic ESG Capability Index with 54 indicators. The findings reveal that Ambidextrous Capability positively affects Strategic Integration, which subsequently influences both Organizational Agility and Sustainable Value Creation. Critically, Strategic Integration fully mediates both the Ambidextrous Capability-Organizational Agility relationship and the Ambidextrous Capability-Sustainable Value Creation relationship, while the non-significant direct effects confirm that Strategic Integration serves as the essential transformation mechanism. Theoretically, this study contributes by addressing the black box problem in ambidexterity-agility literature and operationalizing Dynamic Capabilities Theory into ESG-specific constructs through a validated measurement framework. Practically, the findings provide actionable insights for managers of natural resource companies facing EUDR compliance requirements, demonstrating that ambidextrous capabilities must be channeled through strategic ESG integration to yield agility and sustainable value outcomes.

Abstract

Innovative work behavior (IWB) is an important dimension for higher education institutions in facing global demands. This study examines the effect of self-efficacy on innovative work behavior with knowledge sharing as a mediating variable in 129 lecturers at state vocational colleges with public service agencies in Central Java, Indonesia. A quantitative survey method was employed to collect primary data, which were subsequently analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results showed that self-efficacy significantly influenced knowledge sharing and IWB, and knowledge sharing significantly influenced IWB. In addition, knowledge sharing was proven to partially mediate the relationship between self-efficacy and IWB, with the direct effect remaining significant. These findings indicate that lecturers’ self-confidence contributes directly to innovative behavior. However, its influence can also occur if accompanied by knowledge sharing activities in an academic environment. This study extends Social Cognitive Theory by demonstrating how the environmental component of triadic reciprocal causation operates through knowledge exchange at a public service vocational college in Central Java, Indonesia. This suggests that the burden of the Tridharma (three pillars) and the culture of academic collectivism shape the dynamics between personal confidence and innovative output.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the determinants of entrepreneurial intention among employees in private companies in Indonesia by integrating financial and psychological factors through a mediating mechanism. Data were collected through a survey with 209 valid responses and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that financial literacy and financial efficacy significantly influence entrepreneurial intention, both directly and indirectly through saving behavior. In contrast, perceived job insecurity does not have a significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Saving behavior is found to play a crucial role as it not only directly affects  entrepreneurial intention but also mediates the relationship between financial literacy and financial efficacy with entrepreneurial intention. However, saving behavior does not mediate the relationship between perceived job insecurity and entrepreneurial intention. These findings highlight the importance of financial capability factors over psychological job-related concerns in fostering entrepreneurial intention among employees.
