Abstract

This research aimed to analyze how the experiences of victims of false advertising in the fashion industry can influence their behavior in online purchasing decisions. This research used quantitative research, which is based on the positivism paradigm. Research data was obtained from consumers in the fashion industry in Indonesia who had experienced advertising fraud, with a sample size of 200 respondents. Research data was then analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with a moderation model. This research also compared the purchasing decision behavior of each generation as control variables. The results of the analysis showed that: exposure to false advertising and perceived risk do not have a significant influence on purchasingdecisions, both in model one and model two, hedonism and impulsive buying behavior have a significant influence on purchase decision, both in model one and two, hedonism and impulsive buying behavior are neither able to strengthen nor weaken the influence of exposure to false advertising and perceived risk on purchase decision, both models and all control variables consisting of age generation, gender and marital status do not havea significant influence on purchase decision.

Abstract

In the last decade, a new era of social commerce has emerged, known as live streaming  platforms, where consumers often build illusionary relationships known as Parasocial Interaction (PSI). While many scholars have explored various aspects of live-streaming shopping, they neglected both PSI with hosts and co-viewers. This study intends to bridge this gap by integrating these elements and investigating how they affect the Urge to Buy Impulsively (UBI) through Utilitarian Value (UV). The study population consists of Shopee live-streaming users, with a sample size of 400 respondents. The findings reveal that PSI with the host has no effect on UV or UBI, nor does UV mediate this connection. In contrast, PSI with co-viewers influences both UV and the UBI. Moreover, UV affects UBI and mediates the relationship between PSI with Co-Viewers and UBI. This study proves that illusionary interactions with co-viewers in live streaming can drive UBI by increasing the utilitarian value of the product through co-viewer validation. These results suggest that marketers should focus on fostering communities to enhance social proof in live-streaming.

Abstract

This study explores the construction of humanistic leadership and the concepts of cross-generational collaboration and reverse mentoring, psychological well-being as a mediator, and innovative academic productivity as a dependent. The focus of the study is private universities in Central Java. The methodology used is a mixed method approach, where quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 390 lecturers. Then, the data were analyzed using structural equation modelling facilitated by AMOS software version 24.00. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews and FGDs, with the analysis process involving triangulation and coding supported by NVivo software. The findings of the study concluded that there was a significant interaction between the exogenous and endogenous variables. However, the role of psychological well-being is only a partial mediation, not a full one. Therefore, this comprehensive approach highlights the critical role of various leadership styles and collaborative methodologies in promoting innovative academic behaviour. This finding also explains how important local culture is as inspired by the educational figure Ki Hajar Dewantara through his concept of “ing ngarso sung tuladha, ing madya mbangun karsa, tut wuri handayani” which greatly supports higher education in encouraging innovative behaviour through knowledge sharing, which has an impact on increasing academic productivity in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of human capital readiness on innovation performance mediated by learning orientation. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. The research sample consisted of SMEs in the creative industries. Data were collected through surveys and processed using SEM_PLS. The results showed that human capital readiness has a positive and significant effect on innovation performance through learning orientation. This study shows that human capital readiness is the willingness of employees to actively participate in operational business processes, respond to market challenges, and drive innovation. This readiness requires the support of a supportive environment, such as a learning environment. Human capital readinesscan be fostered through a learning orientation that encourages employees to align the vision of the organization with the owner, to share knowledge, and to be open to change, ultimately fostering the growth of innovation.

Abstract

In the modern era, environmental issues have become a global concern due to the rising impacts of pollution and climate change. One solution is sustainable packaging to reduce waste and environmental damage. This study examines the relationship between environmental awareness, perceived environmental knowledge, perceived ease of use, and purchase intention, with trust in sustainable packaging as a mediating variable. The novelty lies in adding trust in sustainable packaging and utilizing local potential, namely lontar materials, as eco-friendly alternatives to recycled cloth, paper, and plastic. Using the Theory of Planned Behavior, a quantitative approach, and purposive sampling, the study collected 192 samples, with 170 valid responses. Results show that purchase intention is influenced by trust in sustainable packaging, environmental awareness, environmental knowledge, and ease of use. Trust is shaped by environmental awareness, environmental knowledge, and ease of use. Trust mediates the effect of environmental knowledge and ease of use on purchase intention but does not mediate the effect of environmental awareness. These findings are valuable for producers using lontar-based packaging, suggesting they target environmentally conscious consumers who value knowledge and usability.

Abstract

This research aims to fill the knowledge gap by understanding that strategic resources such as collaboration networks, technology digitalization, and financial literacy contribute to improving performance through financial and business competencies and resilience in the perspective of a Resource-Based View (RBV). The study was conducted in Malang Raya, which has a dynamic agro-tourism area but is facing market pressure and high competition. It involved 50 chip MSME players who have been operating for at least two years. The research method uses the SEM-PLS on seven main variables: collaboration network, digitalization, financial literacy, competence, financial resilience, business resilience, and business performance. The results show that the three main resources have a significant effect on performance improvement, either directly or through strengthening competence and resilience. This research provides a theoretical contribution by expanding the application of RBV in the context of traditional food MSMEs, as well as presenting an integrative model to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs. Further research is recommended to explore external variables such as regulation and the dynamics of the growing digital market.

Abstract

This study examines the financial behavior of Generation Y and Z in Batam by highlighting the role of psychological factors. Unlike previous research that emphasizes low financial literacy as the primary cause of poor financial behavior, this study explores how locus of control and financial self-efficacy mediate or moderate that relationship. Using a causal research design, snowball sampling technique, and online questionnaires, the findings reveal that both financial literacy and locus of control significantly influence financial behavior, with financial self-efficacyserving as a mediator. These results suggest that financial behavior is shaped not only by financial literacy but also by psychological factors such as self-control. The practical implication is the need for financial education programs that enhance not only knowledge but also psychological skills to support more informed financial decision-making.
