Abstract

This study explores how millennial employees develop individual resilience in the workplace amid increasing volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this research involved five millennial workers employed in private companies, selected through purposive sampling based on relevance to the research focus. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of meaning within participants’ lived experiences. The findings reveal three core themes shaping millennial resilience: (1) resilience as an adaptive capacity that allows individuals to regulate emotions, reinterpret challenges, and respond constructively to organizational changes; (2) organizational support—particularly supportive leadership, psychological safety, opportunities for learning, and flexible work arrangements—as a critical external factor that strengthens resilience; and (3) active engagement as the behavioral manifestation of resilience, reflected through proactive effort, teamwork, and a willingness to contribute beyond formal job roles. The study highlights that resilience is not merely a personal trait but a dynamic process shaped by continuous interaction between individual coping strategies and organizational practices. Millennials interpret workplace challenges not only as stressors but also as opportunities for self-development, provided they operate within a psychologically safe and supportive environment. Practically, the findings underscore the need for organizations to implement development programs focused on psychological resilience, cultivate empathetic and empowering leadership styles, and promote collaborative work cultures that enhance well-being and work engagement. Strengthening resilience among millennial employees is essential for sustaining performance, maintaining adaptability, and ensuring organizational effectiveness in the modern VUCA-dominated workplace.

Abstract

This study maps the intellectual landscape of research on employee performance and work motivation from 1990 to 2025 through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. Using data extracted from the Scopus database and analyzed with VOSviewer and Biblioshiny, the study identifies publication trends, key authors, influential sources, and thematic clusters that shape the evolution of this field. The analysis reveals an increasing scholarly interest in the topic, reflected in a steady growth rate of publications (0.98% annually) and a strong collaboration index (5.4 co-authors per paper). The findings highlight that motivation and employee performance remain central research themes, often interlinked with concepts such as human resource management, productivity, and job satisfaction. Thematic mapping indicates three major clusters: traditional motivation-performance theories, human capital and organizational behavior perspectives, and emerging trends in digital work environments. Despite consistent academic attention, the field shows limited theoretical innovation in recent years, underscoring the need to revisit classical frameworks in light of modern organizational dynamics. This study contributes to management scholarship by providing a structured overview of the research landscape, identifying intellectual gaps, and suggesting directions for future research on employee performance and motivation in the evolving world of work.

The increasing adoption of digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and analytics has significantly reshaped the role of human resources from administrative functions to strategic partners that drive organizational performance. This study discusses how digital transformation influences HR strategies, focusing on digital competencies, employee engagement, and organizational agility. The research highlights best practices in aligning HR strategy with digital innovation to create a sustainable, adaptive, and competitive organization in a rapidly changing environment. The study emphasizes how digital transformation impacts HR strategies and practices, focusing on key dimensions such as digital competencies, employee engagement, organizational agility, and data-driven decision-making. It highlights that SHRM must evolve to integrate technology not only as an operational enabler but as a strategic resource for long-term competitiveness. Through a comprehensive review of recent literature and global best practices from leading organizations, this paper identifies several critical success factors in aligning HR strategies with digital innovation. These include developing a digitally competent workforce, promoting continuous learning, adopting HR analytics for strategic insights, and fostering a culture of adaptability and innovation. The findings underscore that organizations that effectively integrate SHRM with digital transformation initiatives are more likely to achieve sustainable performance, higher employee engagement, and greater resilience in the face of uncertainty. This study contributes to the growing discourse on digital-era human resource management by proposing a strategic framework for transforming HR into a driver of organizational agility and competitiveness in a rapidly changing global environment.

Abstract

: This study examines the influence of financial literacy and financial attitudes on financial management among employees of PT Telkom Akses Parepare. Using a descriptive quantitative method, data were collected from 147 respondents selected through the Slovin formula. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires measured using a Likert scale. The analysis employed validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, and F-tests using SPSS version 27. The findings reveal that financial literacy does not have a significant partial effect on financial management, indicating that having adequate financial knowledge does not automatically translate into responsible financial behavior. This condition may stem from the gap between understanding and practice, where individuals possess theoretical financial knowledge but do not consistently apply budgeting, saving, or investment discipline due to low motivation, limited self-control, or economic pressures. Conversely, financial attitudes show a positive and significant partial effect on financial management. Individuals with positive financial attitudes—such as discipline, responsibility, and prudent thinking—tend to make wiser financial decisions and manage resources more effectively. Moreover, financial literacy and financial attitudes simultaneously have a significant effect on financial management, with an R² value of 68.6%. This indicates that a substantial proportion of variations in financial management behavior is explained by these two variables. The results highlight the importance of strengthening not only financial knowledge but also affective and behavioral aspects to foster responsible and sustainable financial practices in the workplace. Integrated financial education programs are therefore essential to enhance employees’ capacity to manage finances effectively.

Abstract

The study aims to examine how certain pre-Islamic Arab cultural practices were legislated into Islamic teachings and how they continue to influence Islamic practices today. To achieve this, Islam established rules for carrying out daily activities based on the teachings of Allah SWT and His Messenger. However, this did not automatically erase all the pre-Islamic Arab culture and traditions; rather, the positive aspects were preserved and maintained by Islam as part of its teachings. The method used in this research is a library research with a qualitative descriptive approach, while data collection is carried out through documentation from books and journal articles, and data analysis is conducted using content analysis. The results of the study show several pre-Islamic Arab traditions and cultures that were legislated into Islamic teachings and are implemented by Muslims, including respecting guests, giving charity, keeping promises, trading, acquiring knowledge, and helping one another. These traditions and cultures are affirmed as part of Islamic teachings, supported by several verses of the Qur'an and hadiths to implement these practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource planning and recruitment at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Ta'allumussibyan in the context of Islamic education. Professional and spiritually integrated human resources are key to the success of Islamic educational institutions. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, data was collected from 13 teachers using a questionnaire consisting of 30 statements related to two main sub-variables: HR planning and recruitment. The results of the analysis show that the HR planning aspect received an average score of 4.29, while recruitment received a higher score of 4.53. This reflects that MI Ta'allumussibyan has implemented a fairly effective HR management system that is in line with Islamic values. The findings indicate that planning has been aligned with the madrasah's vision and mission and the actual needs of educators, although formal documentation and long-term planning still need to be improved. On the other hand, the recruitment process shows high professionalism, with assessments of the ability to read the Qur'an, understanding of Islamic values, and the involvement of religious leaders in the selection process. However, there are still weaknesses in the transparency of the selection assessment system and the potential for nepotism. This study recommends improvements in policy documentation and broader stakeholder involvement in the planning and recruitment processes. By strengthening data-driven strategies and spiritual values, the madrasah can enhance the quality of Islamic education sustainably. The findings of this study are also relevant as a reference for other madrasahs with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Islamic university students today face serious challenges in the form of low learning independence. Many of them still depend on their lecturers' guidance, lack initiative in exploring knowledge, and are not yet fully capable of managing their own learning independently. This study aims to examine how the development of the MBKM curriculum in PTKI can enhance students' learning independence and support the realization of impactful campuses. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted at Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya (UNUSA) and Yudharta University Pasuruan. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, with data analysis using data condensation, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The research results show that the development of the MBKM curriculum at both universities encourages students to learn actively, independently, and reflectively through programs such as internships, entrepreneurship, teaching on campus, and community service. Independent learning is reflected in students' ability to manage the learning process, make decisions, and take responsibility for their learning achievements. In addition, Islamic values also frame this process, resulting in learners who are not only academically excellent but also ethical and contribute significantly to society. Thus, the contextually developed MBKM curriculum has proven to be an important instrument in shaping independent students while also realizing an impactful campus.

Abstract

This study aims to develop relevant and contextual local agriculture learning tools for elementary school students in Enrekang Regency. Local potential-based education is an effective strategy for instilling local wisdom values from an early age. However, initial observations show that most elementary schools in Enrekang Regency do not yet have well-structured learning tools that are in line with the socio-cultural characteristics of the region. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model, which is a systematic process for producing valid, practical, and effective learning tools. The results of the study show that the learning tools developed have a very high level of validity with an average score of 87.74%. The practicality of the tools reached an average of 86.91%, based on observations of implementation and positive responses from teachers and students. In terms of effectiveness, there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes from an average of 71.3 on the pretest to 84.1 on the posttest, with a gain score of 0.72, which is classified as high.
