Abstract

Literacy is a basic skill that determines the success of children's education in the future. This study aims to improve the literacy skills of children in Tebul Barat Village through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The program was implemented at SDN Tebul Barat, Pegantenan District, Pamekasan Regency for 30 days, involving students in grades 4-6 as the main target. The PAR method was chosen to ensure the active participation of all stakeholders in the process of identifying problems, planning, implementing, and evaluating the program. The main activities included a 15-minute GEMA BACA (Reading Movement) habit, the development of a literacy corner, interactive storytelling, and intensive mentoring. The results of the study showed an increase in reading skills, reading comprehension, and students' interest in reading, as well as the formation of a sustainable school literacy culture. This program created a participatory literacy ecosystem that involved students, teachers, parents, and the community as agents of change. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of the PAR approach with elementary school literacy programs in the Indonesian rural context, which proved to be effective in improving not only technical literacy skills but also building social capital for program sustainability.

Abstract

Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior, typically carried out intentionally and repeatedly by children or other individuals, with the aim of hurting others in order to gain personal satisfaction or happiness. This highlights the critical role of parents in helping children prevent such behavior. This community service project aims to enhance parents' knowledge and skills in preventing bullying, in order to foster a child-friendly and child-appropriate village environment. The methods employed include classical guidance sessions and communication skills training, using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The program emphasizes community support and involvement throughout all activities. The outcomes of this program show an increase in parents' understanding and abilities, as evidenced by their enthusiasm during discussions, Q&A sessions, and practical role-plays demonstrating healthy communication between parents and children. These improvements contribute to the prevention of bullying behavior among children and support the realization of a child-friendly village.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the importance of improving digital literacy and teachers' ability to utilize interactive learning media as a requirement for 21st-century learning. This study aims to describe the process of strengthening teacher competency through training in the use of Wordwall media and its impact on improving the quality of learning at SDN Laden 1 Pamekasan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that Wordwall media training can improve teachers' competency in digital knowledge and skills. This improvement is evident in the teachers' abilities, which initially were at a basic level, becoming more skilled in creating, adapting, and integrating various forms of quizzes and educational games into their lessons. Teachers demonstrated enthusiasm and readiness to implement Wordwall in teaching and learning activities, especially as an interesting and enjoyable evaluation medium for students. Furthermore, the use of Wordwall has a positive impact on the learning process, marked by increased student motivation, participation, and activeness during learning activities. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for other schools in developing learning technology training..

Abstract

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often experience sensory issues, food selectivity, and behavioral difficulties that are strongly influenced by dietary patterns. This community engagement program aimed to improve the knowledge and practical skills of shadow teachers and parents in managing appropriate nutritional intake for ASD students at Al-Uswah Inclusive School, Pamekasan. The program was conducted from September to November 2025 using a Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach through training, workshops, individual mentoring, and monitoring. A total of 35 shadow teachers and 35 parents participated. Pre-test and post-test evaluations indicated a 35 percent average increase in understanding related to nutrition, foods to avoid, and menu planning skills. Observation following two weeks of dietary implementation showed behavioral improvements among ASD students, including increased concentration (60 percent), reduced tantrums (50 percent), and more regular sleep patterns (70 percent). The program also strengthened school–parent collaboration through the creation of a communication forum and a practical nutrition booklet. These findings demonstrate that participatory nutrition education effectively enhances knowledge and dietary practices for ASD children and can serve as a replicable non-pharmacological intervention model for other inclusive institutions.
