Abstract

This study investigates the influence of psychological resilience and career readiness on entrepreneurial intention among undergraduate students in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. While previous research has predominantly focused on students from business faculties or those exposed to formal entrepreneurship programs, this study targets a more generalized student population to enhance the model’s applicability across disciplines. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 100 university students through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4.0.The results reveal that both psychological resilience (β = 0.539) and career readiness (β = 0.534) significantly and positively affect entrepreneurial intention, accounting for 72% of its variance (R² = 0.720). The findings highlight the importance of integrating psychological and career development factors into models of entrepreneurial behavior, especially in educational contexts with limited entrepreneurship exposure. The study contributes to theoretical advancements by validating a multidimensional framework and offers practical implications for educators, career counselors, and policymakers aiming to foster entrepreneurial potential among youth. These results suggest that entrepreneurship education should extend beyond technical skills and incorporate psychological capacity-building to better prepare students for uncertain career trajectories.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed consumer behavior patterns, including the process of making online purchasing decisions. One factor influencing these decisions is online reviews on e-commerce platforms. Shopee, as one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, provides reviews containing information about product quality and previous consumer experiences, which can help potential buyers in considering their choices. This study aims to analyze the influence of online reviews on purchasing decisions for fashion products on Shopee. The research method used a quantitative approach with a survey of 100 respondents, namely Shopee users who had made purchases and read online reviews before making transactions. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using Google Forms, then processed using SPSS version 25. Data analysis included validity tests, reliability tests, descriptive statistics, and simple linear regression. The results showed that online reviews had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. The R-squared value of 0.745 indicates that 74.5% of the variation in consumer purchasing decisions can be explained by online reviews, while the remainder is influenced by other factors. These findings confirm that online consumer reviews play a significant role in increasing trust and encouraging product purchases. Therefore, sellers on Shopee are advised to maintain product quality, provide accurate information, and encourage positive consumer reviews. This strategy can help improve store image, build consumer trust, and strengthen product competitiveness in the increasingly competitive e-commerce market.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the process of transforming traditional Javanese food into modern dishes by adopting a culinary creativity approach and considering today's consumer preferences. One of the dishes that is the main focus of this study is Klepon Lava Cake, an innovation that combines elements of traditional Indonesian food, namely klepon, with a modern dessert concept that is popular among the younger generation. This study seeks to preserve traditional Javanese food in a more attractive, creative, and relevant way, so that it can attract the interest of today's consumers, especially young people who have different tastes and lifestyles than previous generations. Theoretically, this study contributes to the field of gastronomy and culinary innovation by providing new insights into ways that can be applied to develop tradition-based food products to remain relevant in the modern culinary market. Through an understanding of culinary creativity and how to combine local ingredients with modern cooking techniques, this study shows that culinary traditions can adapt without sacrificing their cultural values. Practically, the results of this study can provide benefits for culinary entrepreneurs, especially in designing tradition-based culinary products that have market appeal and can compete in the increasingly growing food industry. By combining traditional and innovative elements, culinary entrepreneurs can create products that not only preserve cultural heritage but also meet the needs and desires of today's consumers. This research shows that creativity in processing traditional foods can be key to introducing Indonesian cuisine to the global market. Furthermore, this study also considers the importance of consumer preferences in creating culinary products that are acceptable to modern society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of the steak menu at Butcher Steak & Pasta Palembang using three key profitability ratios: Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Return on Sales (ROS), and Return on Capital Employed (ROCE). The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data sourced from sales records and operating costs for the period May to July 2024. This data was strengthened through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review, thus providing a comprehensive picture of the business's profitability. The results show an average GPM of 43.73%, indicating fairly stable gross profitability. However, this value is still below the industry standard of 75%, mainly due to the high cost of goods sold for key raw materials. This indicates the need for cost control strategies, such as price negotiations with suppliers or innovation in menu engineering to increase gross profit margins. The average ROS was recorded at 43.73%, more than double the industry standard of 20%. This achievement confirms that the restaurant's operations are running efficiently, with effective cost control, resulting in a high net profit from every rupiah of sales. Furthermore, the ROCE ratio averaged 127.57%, significantly exceeding the industry benchmark of 40%. This indicates that the capital used in restaurant operations has been utilized very efficiently and has generated significant returns. Month-to-month performance fluctuations were relatively small, with a slight decline in June and a rebound in July. Overall, this study reveals that while operational efficiency and capital utilization have been excellent, there is still room for improvement in gross profitability. These findings not only provide practical recommendations for restaurant management but also enrich the literature on profitability analysis in the hospitality and culinary sectors.

Along with the introduction of the National Health Insurance (JKN) system which began on January 1, 2014, the Indonesian health system is facing increasing challenges with the increasing demand for public services, these services are required to improve accountability and quality of service. Healthcare institutions globally have attempted to adopt the Lean management methodology which aims to improve operational efficiency and overall effectiveness. This is greatly needed with the increasing number of patients being treated in hospitals, this means an increase in the number of patient service activities in the inpatient room, in addition to the increasing need for other resources such as human resources and hospital infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to analyze the inefficiencies in the service process and the use of resources in the inpatient room that have an impact on service quality so that hospitals can create solutions by redesigning processes, controlling waste, and improving workflows using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) analysis. The population in this study was the inpatient service process of Melati RSUD Datu Pancaitana and the research sample was all inpatient nurses of Melati and selected inpatients. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, questionnaires, field notes, and document reviews. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the flow or process with the most waste value was waste waiting and waste overprocessing, the efficiency level reached 77.7% after the implementation of lean by carrying out the designed added value activities, although in its implementation it faced challenges in the form of process complexity, limited resources, diverse waste, to organizational resistance and technological limitations.

Abstract

The decline in sales experienced by UD Kembar Fashion in Tigapanah District over the past five years is the main focus of this study. This condition is thought to be closely related to the company's suboptimal implementation of personal selling strategies and the low quality of service provided to potential customers. Personal selling as a marketing strategy plays a crucial role in building direct communication with customers, so weaknesses in its implementation can lead to decreased purchasing interest. Likewise, suboptimal service quality can reduce customer satisfaction and trust in the company, thus affecting purchasing decisions. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the extent to which personal selling and service quality, both partially and simultaneously, influence product purchasing decisions at UD Kembar Fashion. This study uses an associative quantitative method with an explanatory approach. The study population is potential customers shopping at UD Kembar Fashion, and 104 respondents were selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, then analyzed using multiple linear regression tests with the help of the SPSS version 25 program. The results show that partially, personal selling has a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. The same holds true for the service quality variable, which proved to have a positive and significant influence. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influenced purchasing decisions. This finding indicates that enhancing a more intensive personal selling strategy and improving service quality could be a strategic solution to encourage increased consumer purchasing decisions at UD Kembar Fashion, thereby reversing the declining sales trend.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation demands that human resources (HR) be able to adapt to various new technologies in the workplace. This study aims to analyze the level of HR readiness in facing the implementation of digital technology, identify the required digital competencies, and develop relevant training strategies based on actual needs. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey of 120 respondents from the service and public administration sectors. The results show that HR readiness levels vary, with younger generations and operational workers showing higher readiness than senior generations and upper management positions. The most needed digital competencies include basic digital literacy, data analysis skills, utilization of work software, cybersecurity, and digital communication. The main implication of these findings is the need for initial competencies and the implementation of needs-based training to effectively address the challenges of digital transformation. Designed training programs must not only consider initial skill levels but also be tailored to the work context and individual roles within the organization. This adjustment aims to increase training effectiveness and accelerate the technology adaptation process. This study also identified implementation barriers, such as budget constraints, resistance to change, and lack of top management support. Therefore, a strong internal communications strategy is needed to build awareness of the urgency of digitalization, as well as a commitment from management to create a work ecosystem that supports the sustainable development of digital competencies. These findings provide an important contribution to developing adaptive and resilient HR development strategies in the digital era. Furthermore, cross-departmental collaboration is also necessary to create an inclusive and progressive digital work culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of Brand Awareness, Promotion, and Consumer Behaviour on Purchase Intention. This research is an explanatory research. The population used in this research are the customers of Esperto Barista Course, which is 1,202 people in total. Data collected using questionnaire. While sampling method used is simple random sampling with 100 respondents. Data is analyzed using SPSS 20. The result of this research is brand awareness affects the purchase intention, promotion affects the purchase intention, and consumer behavior affects the purchase intention. The findings of this study are in line with previous research, which states that brand awareness plays a critical role in shaping consumers' perception and trust toward a product or service. High brand awareness increases the likelihood of consumers considering the brand when making purchasing decisions. Moreover, effective promotional strategies significantly increase visibility and stimulate interest, which can lead to higher purchase intentions. In the context of Esperto Barista Course, promotional activities such as discounts, online advertisements, and social media marketing have shown a positive influence on attracting potential customers. Furthermore, consumer behavior—shaped by factors such as lifestyle, motivation, perception, and learning—demonstrates a direct relationship with purchase intention. The more a brand aligns with the values and expectations of its target consumers, the more likely they are to make a purchase. In this study, it was observed that respondents who had a strong personal interest in coffee culture and barista skills were more inclined to enroll in the course. These insights are valuable for Esperto Barista Course in refining their marketing strategies, aligning brand messaging with consumer values, and optimizing promotional tools to enhance customer engagement and conversion.

Abstract

Islamic banking financing has become a crucial component of the Indonesian financial sector, providing a sharia-compliant alternative to conventional financing. Despite its rapid growth, assessing the feasibility of Islamic banking financing remains a major challenge, particularly in terms of risk management, financial sustainability, and regulatory compliance. Previous studies have assessed the feasibility of financing using various methods, including the 5C approach (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition). However, research in this area remains fragmented, with a lack of systematic analysis of key trends, methodologies, and influencing factors. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to synthesize and analyze existing research on the feasibility of Islamic banking financing in Indonesia. The review covers studies published between 2020 and 2022, focusing on the distribution of research, analytical techniques, and key determinants affecting the feasibility of financing. The findings reveal that most studies emphasize credit risk assessment, financial literacy, and the regulatory framework, but lack a unified approach to measuring feasibility. The results of this study provide valuable insights for Islamic financial institutions, regulators, and researchers, highlighting the need for an integrated risk assessment model, a better regulatory framework, and enhanced financial literacy initiatives to strengthen Islamic banking financing in Indonesia. This research contributes to the development of a more structured and comprehensive framework for evaluating financing feasibility, ensuring sustainable growth and financial inclusion in the Islamic banking sector.
