The focus and scope of this journal are on Early Childhood Islamic Education, and Arabic Language Education. Jurnal Hamka is published twice a year [July and December], is an Indonesian peer-reviewed journal, and specializes in Early Childhood Islamic Education and Arabic language. All submitted papers must go through a double-blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of manuscripts published in the journal.

Abstract

Character education in today's digital era faces unique challenges, especially in the formation of moral and ethical values of the younger generation. One of the approaches that can be adopted to overcome this problem is the implementation of Minhajul Abidin values, which are guidelines for life based on Islamic teachings and can provide a solid foundation in character development. Through a literature study, this study aims to explore how Minhajul Abidin's values can be integrated in character education, especially in the context of formal and non-formal education in a digital environment. Research shows that values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and compassion can be a solid foundation in shaping students' character in the midst of the onslaught of information and technology that often triggers identity crises. By leveraging existing digital platforms, such as social media and learning apps, educators have the opportunity to instill these values in an engaging and relevant way. In addition, this approach also allows collaboration between parents, teachers, and the community in creating an environment that supports the consistent application of Minhajul Abidin's values. The results of the literature studied show that by strengthening these values in the educational curriculum, not only can students' character be formed, but also they will be better prepared to face complex global challenges. Through effective implementation, it is hoped that Minhajul Abidin-based character education can help create a generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also has strong personalities and noble ethics. This research contributes to the development of character education models in the digital era by making spiritual and moral values the main foundation.

Abstract

Harmonizing Science and Religion is essential, especially in contemporary Islamic education and thought. The rapid development of science in the modern era is often considered contrary to the principles established by religion, creating a divide between the two. The urgency to unite the two has become a topic of discussion among contemporary Islamic thinkers, one of whom is Amin Abdullah. He made a breakthrough with the Integration-Interconnection paradigm, an idea that seeks to harmonize Science and Religion. Contemporary Islamic education, where Science must be developed to its full potential, while the role of religion cannot be separated. It is inappropriate to separate the two. This research is a type of library research. This research concludes that Integration and Interconnection in Islamic Education is an effort to eliminate the dichotomy between General Knowledge/Science and Religious Knowledge. Contemporary Islamic education seeks to integrate fundamental Islamic values with modern developments, focusing on the development of individuals who are intellectually, spiritually, and socially balanced. Education that harmonizes Science and Religion helps to shape individuals who are intellectually intelligent and have good character and morality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts of teachers in instilling Islamic values ​​in early childhood at Raudhatul Athfal (RA). Instilling Islamic values ​​from an early age is very important as a basis for the formation of children's character and morals. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation of teachers and learning activities at RA. The results of the study indicate that teachers' efforts in instilling Islamic values ​​are carried out through habituation of religious activities, such as daily prayer, worship practices, exemplary attitudes, Islamic story-based learning, and the integration of Islamic values ​​in learning and play activities. Supporting factors in the implementation of these efforts include the active role of teachers, school environmental support, and parental involvement, while inhibiting factors include differences in children's characters and limited learning time. Thus, teachers' efforts have a very important role in instilling Islamic values ​​in early childhood as a provision for children's moral and spiritual development in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the methods and strategies of the Islamic Calistung Learning House in Batam in improving reading skills in seven-year-old children. to determine the level of success of the method. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive research type. Information taken from the author is a teacher at the Islamic Calistung tutoring center in Batam. Data was taken from the results of observations and interviews at the Islamic Calistung learning house in Batam, after which it was analyzed according to experts from previous researchers. Initially, children had difficulty distinguishing similar letters and had difficulty combining letters that had double consonants, based on the results of the study, it showed that children who underwent guidance at the Islamic Calistung learning house had good changes and improvements in their reading abilities.

Abstract

Lack of parental attention and emotional affection can be a cause of behavioral problems in early childhood. This study aims to explain the impact of insufficient parental affection on the behavior of early childhood children at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 5 Batam City. The findings indicate that children who do not receive adequate affection tend to exhibit mild aggressive behavior, tantrums, irritability, difficulties in emotional regulation, and limited ability to interact with peers as expressions of unmet emotional needs. Therefore, it can be concluded that insufficient parental affection has a significant impact on the emergence of behavioral problems in early childhood, highlighting the importance of warm and consistent parental emotional involvement to support optimal emotional and behavioral development.

Abstract

Ibadah sholat adalah salah satu cara untuk mengajarkan nilai-nilai spiritual kepada anak-anak. Mengajarkan kebiasaan sholat sejak kecil dianggap mampu membentuk sikap positif pada anak, seperti disiplin, bertanggung jawab, jujur, dan hormat kepada orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari bagaimana ibadah sholat memengaruhi perkembangan akhlak anak melalui tinjauan literatur. Temuan dari peninjauan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa jika kebiasaan sholat dilakukan secara rutin dan dicontoh oleh orang tua serta pendidik, maka hal ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan akhlak anak. Dengan demikian, sholat tidak hanya merupakan kewajiban dalam beribadah, tetapi juga menjadi sarana untuk membentuk karakter dan akhlak yang baik pada anak-anak.

Abstract

Character education in early childhood faces serious challenges due to modernenvironmental influences and the decline of moral value internalization in children’s daily lives.This study aims to examine the role of storytelling methods based on prophetic stories in shapingmoral and religious character in early childhood education at TK Al-Fatah Batu Aji. This researchemploys a qualitative descriptive approach through a thematic analysis of prophetic narratives inthe Qur’an, particularly the stories of Prophet Musa, Prophet Ibrahim, Prophet Muhammad, andProphet Yunus. The findings reveal that prophetic stories contain strong character educationvalues, including monotheism, religiosity, honesty, patience, responsibility, self-reflection, andcompassion. Storytelling is proven to be effective because it delivers moral values in an engaging,contextual, and developmentally appropriate manner, enabling children to better understand andemulate positive behaviors. Therefore, storytelling based on prophetic narratives can beimplemented as an effective learning strategy to strengthen character education in early childhoodwithin an Islamic educational framework.

Abstract

Halal food is not only seen as a religious obligation, but it is also believed to influence the development of behavior in early childhood. This study aims to describe the perceptions of teachers and parents regarding the impact of halal food on the behavior of young children. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with teachers and parents of children at Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions as the research subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that teachers and parents have a positive perception of providing halal food, which is believed to affect children's behavior such as emotional calmness, compliance with rules, as well as habituation of moral and religious values from an early age. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of synergy between schools and families in providing halal food as part of character education for early childhood.

Abstract

    Inovasi manajemen pendidikan Islam merupakan kebutuhan strategis dalam merespons tantangan globalisasi, digitalisasi, dan perubahan sosial yang semakin kompleks. Sekolah Islam tidak hanya dituntut menjaga identitas dan nilai-nilai keislaman, tetapi juga mampu mengelola lembaga pendidikan secara profesional, efektif, efisien, dan adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan konsep inovasi manajemen pendidikan Islam dalam sekolah melalui pendekatan integratif antara nilai-nilai Islam dan prinsip-prinsip manajemen modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan menganalisis buku ilmiah sepuluh tahun terakhir dan artikel jurnal lima tahun terakhir yang relevan dengan manajemen pendidikan Islam, inovasi pendidikan, dan kepemimpinan sekolah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi manajemen pendidikan Islam dapat diformulasikan melalui empat pilar utama, yaitu integrasi nilai Islam dan teknologi, pengembangan kurikulum adaptif dan integratif, peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia pendidikan, serta kepemimpinan dan manajemen partisipatif berbasis nilai Islami. Formulasi inovasi ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan mutu tata kelola sekolah Islam, memperkuat kualitas pembelajaran, serta menghasilkan lulusan yang berkarakter Islami, berdaya saing, dan mampu menghadapi tantangan global tanpa kehilangan jati diri keislamannya.
