Abstract

This study investigates the impact of price and product quality on consumer purchasing decisions for Kopi Jago at Tebet Eco Park. With growing competition in the coffee industry, businesses must adopt effective marketing strategies, particularly in pricing and product quality enhancement. A quantitative survey approach was employed, targeting consumers who had purchased Kopi Jago products in Jakarta. Using purposive sampling, 40 respondents were selected. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, and the analysis utilized multiple linear regression, preceded by validity and reliability testing. The findings reveal that price has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while product quality also shows a positive and significant influence. Together, price and product quality significantly shape consumer purchasing behavior, with the coefficient of determination indicating that a substantial portion of purchasing decisions can be explained by these two variables. The results suggest that maintaining competitive pricing and consistent product quality is crucial for strengthening consumer purchasing decisions in the café industry. This research contributes to marketing management literature, particularly in understanding consumer behavior within the food and beverage sector.

Abstract

Quality education is closely associated with effective school leadership, particularly in managing teachers as essential human resources. One of the primary challenges faced by school principals is enhancing teacher performance and loyalty through appropriate leadership strategies. This study investigates the principal’s leadership strategy in managing reward and punishment systems to improve teacher performance and loyalty at SMP BP Minnatul Huda. It focuses on how these systems are planned, implemented, and evaluated, as well as their impact on teachers’ motivation, discipline, and organizational commitment. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured, in-depth interviews involving key informants, including the Islamic boarding school leader, the foundation chairperson, and the school principal. Additional data were gathered from institutional documents and relevant literature. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, and source triangulation was applied to ensure the credibility and validity of the findings. The results reveal that the principal applies a transformational leadership approach supported by a structured, transparent, and participatory reward and punishment system. Rewards include financial incentives and non-financial recognition, while punishment is implemented constructively through a tiered system emphasizing professional development. These strategies significantly improve teacher motivation, discipline, performance, and loyalty. In conclusion, effective leadership combined with fair reward and constructive punishment practices plays a crucial role in enhancing teacher performance and sustaining educational quality.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing demand for carbon emission transparency, particularly Scope 3 emissions, which reflect the environmental impacts of a company's entire supply chain, but are still not optimally disclosed in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of Scope 3 Emission Disclosure on Sustainability Performance, with Sustainable Supply Chain Performance as a mediator. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type. Data were obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2024 period using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 55 companies or 220 observations (firm-year). Data analysis was performed using the Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) method. The results show that Scope 3 Emission Disclosure has a positive and significant effect on Sustainable Supply Chain Performance and Sustainability Performance. In addition, Sustainable Supply Chain Performance also has a positive effect on Sustainability Performance and is able to mediate the relationship between Scope 3 Emission Disclosure and Sustainability Performance. These findings suggest that carbon emissions disclosure will be more effective in improving sustainability performance if accompanied by the implementation of sustainable supply chain practices. This research contributes to the development of supply chain-based green accounting and offers practical implications for companies in improving the quality of sustainability reporting and management

Abstract

This study explores sustainable entrepreneurship practices among small food and beverage enterprises in urban areas of England using a qualitative multiple case study approach. Drawing on Sustainable Entrepreneurial Orientation (SEO), the research investigates how entrepreneurs integrate environmental and social considerations into their business activities. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving small business owners. The findings reveal that sustainability is primarily driven by personal values and ethical commitments rather than formal strategies. Entrepreneurs demonstrate proactive behavior through incremental innovations in resource management, particularly in waste reduction and efficiency practices. However, the study also identifies a persistent tension between financial constraints and sustainability goals, indicating that economic survival often influences decision-making. External factors such as consumer awareness and market demand further shape sustainability practices, creating both opportunities and limitations. Additionally, informal learning and local networks play a crucial role in facilitating sustainability adoption. This study contributes to the literature by providing a context-specific and process-oriented understanding of sustainable entrepreneurship in small enterprises. The findings offer practical implications for policymakers and practitioners in designing targeted support mechanisms for sustainable business development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of creativity and training on employee performance through Proactive Work Behavior (PWB) at the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. The growing complexity of public services demands that civil servants not only perform routine tasks but also act innovatively and proactively. This quantitative research uses a survey method with 260 employees as samples, selected using proportionate random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results show that creativity and training have a positive and significant direct effect on PWB and employee performance. Furthermore, PWB is proven to positively and significantly mediate the influence of creativity and training on employee performance. This study confirms the applicability of Social Cognitive Theory in the public sector and recommends that the Ministry foster a culture of innovation and proactive behavior to enhance bureaucratic reform and public service quality.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a strategic technology capable of enhancing organizational competitiveness and marketing effectiveness. However, many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), particularly in emerging economies, continue to face significant challenges in adopting AI technologies. This study aims to examine the influence of technological barriers, organizational barriers, and environmental barriers on AI adoption and their implications for marketing performance among SMEs in Banyumas Regency, Indonesia. The study adopts the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework as the theoretical foundation for explaining AI adoption behavior within SMEs. A quantitative research approach was employed using survey data collected from 100 SMEs in Banyumas. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that technological barriers and environmental barriers significantly influence AI adoption, whereas organizational barriers do not significantly affect AI adoption. Furthermore, AI adoption significantly influences marketing performance. The results indicate that SMEs adopting AI technologies experience improvements in sales growth, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, digital campaign effectiveness, market responsiveness, and competitive advantage. The study contributes theoretically by extending the TOE framework through the integration of multidimensional barriers and AI-driven marketing performance. Practically, the findings provide important implications for SME owners, policymakers, and technology providers in designing strategies to accelerate AI adoption and strengthen SME competitiveness in the digital economy. The study also highlights the importance of technological readiness and supportive digital ecosystems in facilitating successful AI implementation among SMEs.

Abstract

High employee turnover intention poses a significant threat to the operational continuity of regional development banks, particularly during periods of organisational transformation. This quantitative study investigates the effects of work stress and compensation on employee turnover intention at PT Bank DKI—a government-owned regional bank headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia—with work motivation as a mediating variable. Drawing on the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) model and Goal Setting Theory, a structural model was tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) and a simple random sample of 119 employees drawn from a population of 168. Measurement quality was confirmed through convergent validity (outer loadings > 0.665), composite reliability (ρ_c > 0.882), AVE > 0.599, and HTMT < 0.93 with all bootstrap confidence intervals below 1.00. The structural model explains 72.5% of variance in turnover intention and 76.7% in work motivation (R² = 0.725 and 0.767, respectively; SRMR = 0.074). All seven hypotheses were supported: work stress exerts a significant positive effect on turnover intention (β = 0.443, p < 0.001), while compensation exerts a significant negative effect (β = −0.251, p = 0.001). Work stress negatively predicts work motivation (β = −0.597, p < 0.001), whereas compensation positively predicts it (β = 0.361, p < 0.001). Work motivation, in turn, significantly reduces turnover intention (β = −0.238, p = 0.021) and fully mediates the paths from work stress (β = 0.142, p = 0.031) and compensation (β = −0.086, p = 0.026) to turnover intention. Theoretical and practical implications for human resource management in the banking sector are discussed.
