Abstract

The online learning system provides its own challenges where schools and teachers must continue to optimize learning activities in order to remain effective and efficient. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of virtual laboratory media in physics learning in the Covid-19 pandemic era on students' science process skills. The sample in this study was obtained by using a cluster random sampling technique from a population of all students of SMA N 2 Ungaran, namely class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 2 as the control class. The research method used a pretest-posttest control group design, while the data analysis used parametric statistical tests, namely N-gain, independent sample t-test, and paired sample t-test. The gain normality test showed that the average post-test results increased by 0.53 with moderate criteria in the experimental class and 0.28 in the control class with low criteria. The results of the independent sample t-test showed that there was a significant difference in the scientific process skills of the experimental and control groups, namely t count 8.231, greater than t critical 2.042 with a significance level of 5%. In the paired-sample t-test, the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that the use of virtual laboratory media in physics learning is effective in improving students' science process skills in the Covid-19 pandemic era.

Abstract

The academic procrastination can be defined as the procrastinating behavior of school assignment, so it can cause negative effects for individual. The negative effects of academic procrastination is the emergence of emotional not quite so well, such as feeling worried, desperate, and easily stressed. Group counseling is a dynamic interpersonal relationship between counselor and counselee focused on a joint problem-solving. The purpose of this research is can be the academic procrastination in adolescents using group counseling.This research uses quasi experimental method with pre test post test control group design and assisted by using a measuring instrument academic procrastination scale. In this research, sampling using purposive sampling.The sample of the research consisted of 16 adolescents and divided into two groups, eight teenagers to the experimental group and 8 teenagers to the control group. The results showed a significant difference in the level of the academic procrastination (Z = -3371; P 0.001 <0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the application of group counseling can lower the academic procrastination in adolescents. Keywords: Academic Procrastination, group counseling

Abstract

The film " Nussa The Movie" is a breakthrough in the film with Islamic animation nuances with the plot presented easily for children to understand. The film is designed to invite children to be interested in manual or digital literacy, especially in Islamic activities. With a myriad of meanings, this story tells the story of the character of Nussa as the defending champion of the science fair with its limitations. The purpose of this paper is to examine and analyze literacy from the point of view of parents who have little time for their children, based on the results obtained through research on data sources and internet studies. Knowledge of the importance of literacy in children is decreasing due to the use of smartphones that are not wise and the attention of parents is not optimal. In conclusion, the development of literacy in children is less emphasized on letter knowledge and language use skills, among others; introduce vocabulary through objects, invite children to read books, train children to appreciate an object, and teach children about sincerity. This literacy learning mode uses a social and technological approach. The research results reveal that digital literacy is better able to increase awareness to build a mature mindset.

Abstract

Layangan Putus is a series which air on paid application which is WeTv. This series was told us about the household of Aris and Kinan. Kinan and Aris is a wife and husband couple where their household should ruined because Aris was cheating with another woman named Lidya Danira. Kinan decided to solve their household issues through divorce. This research is analysing a lesson and value that people could take on Layangan Putus series, since this series is going viral in society, so that, it is necessary to identify and know the value and lesson in that series. The method of this research was using descriptive qualitative approach. The author of this paper was using secunder data which taken on the internet. The data collection technique was watching the full episodes of Layangan Putus series. The author of this paper then observing the series through listening to all the conversation dan dialogue from the characters in that series as well as the gestures which shown by the characters. Value and lesson which appeared in Layangan Putus must be have beneficial for the society since it can be a lesson for them to live a harmony household and make it better.

Abstract

One of the most memorable films from our childhood would be "Mulan" by Disney. When most of the Disney princesses show us the glamour, the elegance of being a princess, “Mulan” shows us something else, like a battlefield, army, war, and lots of other things that may sound new and fresh from a child's perspective. People watch Mulan on her journey to become China's saviour. Ignoring the line that separates a man from a woman she kept her head up and worked hard to become the perfect soldier for her land. Despite showing her capability in fight and strategies to help her comrades survive the battlefield, she still faces rejection and anger when people around her find out that she is a woman. But she still tries her best to save the country by protecting China's emperor when he faces life and death situations caused by the enemies. Her success caused a lot of people to acknowledge her power as a woman and praise her. This paper will study the female representation of “Mulan”. A qualitative method will be used to conduct this study to show educational values in “Mulan” by Disney.

Abstract

The film "Dua Garis Biru" is a film that is popular in Indonesian society and impresses people because it creates controversy in its scenes. Bima and Dara are a teenage couple as the main characters of the film who have carried out activities beyond their limits as teenagers. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of teenage couples who have sex outside of marriage and face big problems involving Dara being pregnant and they must be responsible for what they experience with lots of opposition from the family, social background, and different ideologies. At first, they did not want to tell their parents about their condition because they were undergoing high school education. However, during school activities, Dara experienced pain and called her parents. From here, the peak of the problem occurred because of a dispute between the Bima family and Dara's family. This film educates young people about love, friendship, and family relationships in today's world. The film also teaches parents about sexual education, which sometimes parents are embarrassed to talk about with their children. The research was conducted using qualitative methods and content analysis techniques.

Abstract

The film “Avengers: Infinity War” is a film that sequel to 2012's The Avengers, and 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. The purpose of this study is to describe the character of one of the main characters, namely Thor and also the representation of the superhero formula from Thor. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with two research approaches, namely structural to examine the character of Thor, while the literary psychology approach uses the theory of Coogan and Cawelti about the superhero formula (protagonist). The results show that Thor has 4 characters, namely 1) Thor is the main character, 2) Thor is the protagonist, 3) Thor is a flat character, because at the beginning of the scene it is shown that Thor is grieving because of the loss of his brother, so Thor tries to take revenge from the beginning to the end of the film. 4) Thor is also a static character in the film. In the analysis of the representation of the superhero formula (protagonist), three points are obtained namely, 1) mission, 2) strength, and 3) costume. The conclusion of this study is that the superhero formula changes depending on culture, civilization, and technological sophistication.

Abstract

Interest in reading is one of the provisions for children to be successful in both academic and non-academic fields, it is appropriate that interest in reading should be grown from an early age. This study aims to perceive the profile in children’s reading interest at the aged 4-5 years and to analyze the background of the behavior in which reading interest appears. Qualitative descriptive method as used in this study, portraying the profile of interest in reading with the data collections process by observation and interview. 70% of children aged 4-5 years at RA Muhammad Iqbal show their enthusiasm in books, symbols, sounds of letters and songs. Children are enthusiastic to see various types of reading books, from picture story books, magazines, and reading practice books which are provided by the teacher in classroom corner. 50% of parents frequently show reading activities at home, invite children to tell the story from picture book. Teachers and parents become role models for children to imitate the liking of reading and to provide motivating environments for children to be interested in reading. Keywords: profile of reading interest, reading, 4-5 years old children.

Abstract

Emotion regulation plays a role in modulating the expression of emotions (positive and negative) in interacting with others according to social rules. Individuals who have good emotional regulation skills are able to see, evaluate, modify emotional reactions, are able to relieve and regulate the emergence of negative emotions. In preschoolers, the ability to regulate emotions is strongly influenced by the surrounding environment, namely the home and school environment. One method to train preschool children's emotional regulation is by playing. This writing is library research which is presented descriptively through several relevant literatures. The results of the review show that there are several methods used to train emotion regulation in preschoolers.

Abstract

Digital students' worksheets or interactive worksheets are one of the steps in applying technology in learning and assessment. Improving the skills of teachers in designing and creating digital Students' worksheets will be very beneficial for the teacher's self-development and improving the quality of learning in the classroom. The learning process during the pandemic can no longer be carried out offline or offline. It is necessary to assist the preparation of DSW by the teacher and upload it on liveworksheet.com so that in activity-based and student-centered learning, it will be able to assist in providing understanding of the material. Teachers as the frontline in education must swiftly and responsively master the use of virtual face-to-face applications, learning media and online assessments. The subjects of the study were subject teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Depok totaling 48 people. This activity must continue to be developed and implemented so that the results will be more visible and foster a changing friendly culture, meaning that teachers are more friendly with the changes that occur in the world of education. requires mastery of technology to facilitate the distance learning process. Improved skills of 47 teachers (97.92%). For DSW students, it can be used as learning to be active and can have an independent attitude and responsibility because the exercises they do come from the teacher and can be accessed anywhere, not limited by space and time and can be done repeatedly. The results of the study were 48 teachers (100%) listed KD on their DSW sheet, the options on multiple choice questions functioned (93.75%), the drag and drop button function was successfully executed (93.75%) and the join with arrow functioned (97.92%) . All material delivery through virtual or virtual classes.
