Abstract

The development of digital-based tourism applications in Lombok is one solution to improve the tourist experience and support local business actors. This study used a quantitative survey method involving 40 tourist respondents and qualitative interviews with traders and tourism managers in strategic locations such as Goa Lawah Village and Narmada Park. Data analysis showed that the majority of tourists have a high interest in interactive features such as gamification, points/reward systems, interactive maps, and cultural and historical content in tourism applications. In addition, respondents also showed a strong interest in local applications made in the region as a source of tourism information. The interview results support the survey findings by stating that the development of gamification-based applications can increase tourist visits and local merchant income. These findings form the basis for the development of an innovative and sustainable tourism platform in Lombok, which can increase the attractiveness of the destination while strengthening the local economy.

Abstract

Weekly online-based quizzes have been introduced as a strategy to enhance students academic achievement; however, their impact on test performance among 8th-grade students remains underexplored. At State Junior High School (SMPN) 1 Mataram, online-based quizzes have not yet been fully utilized as a learning tool. According to the Testing Effect Theory, frequent testing enhances memory recall and improves learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of weekly online-based quizzes in improving the English test scores of 8th-grade students. A quantitative research design was employed using a pre-test and post-test approach with 30 student participants. The results revealed a significant improvement in test scores, highlighting the positive impact of online-based quizzes on students academic performance. These findings suggest that integrating regular online quizzes into the learning process can be an effective strategy for reinforcing students understanding and retention of English concepts. Given the positive impact of online-based quizzes, it is recommended that educators incorporate them consistently into the curriculum to enhance student engagement and knowledge retention.

Abstract

Labuhan Lombok has plentiful natural tourism potential and a strategic location near Kayangan Harbor, yet its popularity remains relatively low. The use of internet technology, particularly web-based information systems, has been increasingly utilized to promote tourism destinations. This study aims to enhance the prominence of Labuhan Lombok as a tourism destination through the development of a web-based information system. The system was developed using the waterfall method, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Additionally, testing was conducted using User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the system meets user needs. The developed system provides a comprehensive information platform featuring tourist destinations, events, culinary options, and souvenirs. The results of the UAT showed that the information system is considered effective in promoting Labuhan Lombok as a tourism destination. Thes system is designed with a user-friendly interface that supports sustainable tourism promotion without harming expected to enhance the appeal of Labuhan Lombok, support tourism promotion, and contribute to the growth of the local tourism sector.

Abstract

Indonesia is recorded as an archipelagic country with cultural diversity. However, technological advancement and globalization have an impact on local culture. One of them is that Sumbawa's culture is threatened to be eroded and forgotten due to the younger generation shifting towards Western culture or K-pop. Everyone on the island of Sumbawa, especially students, is expected to know and enhance their love for the local culture of Sumbawa. Based on this, this research aims to examine the concept of SAJODAR as an educational application of Satera Jontal and Sumbawa regional culture based on Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance students' knowledge and love for Sumbawa's local culture. The method used in this research is the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to construct a learning system. The ADDIE development model is more effective, rational, and comprehensive for developing a product. The analysis results show a relatively high attention rate in the realm of technology-based cultural learning, to facilitate students, especially in using the SAJODAR application as a medium to enhance the love for Sumbawa culture.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze strategies for enhancing the competitiveness of local products in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) through an approach that emphasizes their role in supporting sustainable tourism. Local products are regarded not only as vital economic assets but also as instruments for cultural preservation and the promotion of regional identity. A quantitative descriptive method is employed, integrating surveys of local business actors, analysis of secondary data related to trade policies and product development, and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including representatives from the Kupang City Trade Office. The findings reveal that several critical factors—such as improving product quality through innovation, adopting branding strategies rooted in local wisdom, and leveraging digital technology for marketing—significantly contribute to enhancing product competitiveness. These factors add value to NTT’s local products in both domestic and international markets. Moreover, strong collaboration among the government, business actors, and the community serves as a foundational pillar for the effective implementation of these strategies. The study also underscores the importance of continuous capacity-building programs for local entrepreneurs, product certification in accordance with national and international standards, and the integration of local products into tourism packages. These efforts not only boost the appeal of NTT's tourism sector but also positively impact the local economy by empowering communities. In the long term, the proposed strategies are expected to foster an inclusive and sustainable business ecosystem aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

Mataram City as one of the tourist destination cities in West Nusa Tenggara has a variety of culinary attractions spread in various locations. The effectiveness of travel routes is an important factor in maximizing the culinary tourism experience, both in terms of travel time and cost efficiency. This research aims to apply Kruskal's Algorithm in determining the most effective culinary tourism travel route in Mataram City. Kruskal's algorithm, known as one of the methods in graph theory to find the minimum spanning tree (MST), is used to minimize the total travel distance between culinary location points. Location and distance data between culinary places were collected through field surveys and digital mapping. The results of the algorithm implementation show that the resulting route is able to connect all culinary points with a total travel distance that is more efficient than a random or conventional route of 15.09445 Km. Thus, the use of Kruskal Algorithm is proven effective as a solution in planning optimal culinary tourism routes in Mataram.
