The data collection method used is a case study. The data collection techniques used are documentation, literature study, and observation. The type of data used in this research is secondary data. Data is processed using the EVIEWS 10 application using the multiple linear regression method. Based on the results obtained in this study, it shows that the agricultural sector variable has a significant positive effect on economic growth, while the tourism sector and trade sector variables have a significant negative effect on economic growth. The study suggests that while the agricultural sector positively impacts economic growth in Lombok Timur Regency, there are challenges within the tourism and trade sectors that need to be addressed to fully harness their potential for development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the existence of Tanjung Karang tourism village on local employment in Tanjung Karang, Mataram City. The business units in this study are Grocery Micro Small Medium Enterprises, Souvenir Micro Small Medium Enterprises, Fish Culinary Center Micro Small Medium Enterprises, and Homestays. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, namely reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. The results found that the impact of the existence of the Tanjung Karang tourism village with the Loang Baloq Park tourist attraction on the absorption of local labor in Tanjung Karang is still relatively low. It can be seen from the number of workers who work as owners of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises that are more often not selling and have not even been seen selling again for a long time, preferring to work elsewhere and there are also some who are unemployed. Homestay owners also experience obstacles such as a lack of interest from tourists to stay overnight due to the unattractive form of community housing and a community culture that is prone to social unrest due to the presence of tourist lodging in community homes. These conditions make employment in Tanjung Karang tourism village relatively low.

Abstract

In recent years, Indonesia's tourism landscape, particularly in regions like East Lombok Regency, has undergone a profound transformation. There's a growing emphasis on sustainable tourism practices, reflecting a recognition of the need to balance economic development with environmental preservation and social inclusivity. This study delves into the factors shaping tourists' decisions to visit the Holy Sacred Water Tourism Park in Sugian Village, East Lombok Regency, with a focus on sustainable tourism development principles. Employing a quantitative research approach, the study investigates the causal relationships between dependent variables (tourist decision-making) and independent variables (infrastructure facilities, services, tourist attractions, tourism costs, and tourist attractions distance). Surveys via questionnaires were administered to visitors of the Sugian Village Holy Sacred Water Tourism Park from May 2023 to March 2024, utilizing non-random sampling with an accidental sampling technique. Primary data collected through questionnaires was complemented by secondary data from various sources, including destination managers, local government authorities, and economic literature. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to assess the relationships between variables, with classical assumption tests ensuring the analysis's validity. The findings underscored the significant influence of infrastructure facilities, services, tourist attractions, tourism costs, and tourist attractions distance on tourists' decision-making processes. It's recommended that tourism managers prioritize maintaining affordable costs and enhancing infrastructure, services, and attractions to improve visitor satisfaction and boost visitation to the Sacred Sacred Water Tourism Park in Sugian Village. This proactive approach is vital for sustaining and nurturing tourism growth in the region, aligning with sustainable development goals.

The research results show that the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.72. The research results simultaneously show that tourist income, travel time, travel costs and attractiveness have a significant effect on the number of tourist visits. The research results show that partially income, travel time, travel costs and attractiveness have a significant effect on the number of tourist visits. It is hoped that tourist attraction managers will continue to innovate so that they always have attractions that can make tourists come back to tourist attractions on Gili Trawangan.

Abstract

Indonesia natural diversity supports a thriving tourism industry, including in Lombok Timur Regency, which is known for its natural attractions. Among these is the Lemor Botanical Garden, a conservation and tourism site covering 82.9 hectares with 282 plant species. Despite offering various facilities, the absence of adequate informational graphics hinders visitors from locating essential amenities such as toilets, prayer rooms, and specific areas, reducing their overall comfort and satisfaction. This descriptive qualitative study was conducted at Lemor Botanical Garden, Lombok Timur. Primary data were obtained through observation and interviews, while secondary data were collected from books and journals. The analysis used Milles and Huberman's interactive model, with triangulation and member checking ensuring the validity of findings. The research also examined the garden’s potential as a natural laboratory for geography education, using three main indicators. The findings highlight the need for improving signage and transportation facilities to enhance accessibility and visitor experience. Active participation of POKDARWIS in management is crucial, particularly in providing tour guides and security personnel. Further recommendations include the introduction of environmental education, conservation programs, and cultural activities. Improved visitor facilities, such as prayer rooms, toilets, dining areas, and better accessibility, are also essential to support sustainable tourism. Lemor Botanical Garden holds substantial potential for ecotourism development due to its rich biodiversity and scenic beauty. However, challenges such as limited promotion and competition from other destinations must be addressed. Strengthening infrastructure, enhancing visitor engagement, and prioritizing conservation can ensure its long-term sustainability while benefiting the local community.
