Abstract

Abstracts - The transformation of public service systems in the digital era, which demands greater efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality, has driven the West Jakarta Sub-Department of Library and Archives as a strategic institution in building a literacy-based society to face the challenges of job uncertainty and high workload that impact employee motivation. This study employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative design to examine the effect of job uncertainty and workload on employee motivation at the West Jakarta Sub-Department of Library and Archives. Using purposive sampling, 35 respondents were selected as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews, then analyzed using multiple linear regression with validity, reliability, classical assumption, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analyses assisted by SPSS version 26. The results indicate that job uncertainty and workload have a significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on employee motivation, with t-values of 5.373 and 4.526, an F-value of 214.600, significance level < 0.001, and an R Square value of 0.931, showing that 93.1% of the variation in employee motivation is explained by these two variables. Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the influence of FWA on employee performance by considering various mediating and moderating factors that influence the relationship. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach referring to the Kitchenham & Charters (2007) guidelines, the research process includes three main stages: planning, conducting, and reporting. Of the 450 articles identified through the Scopus, Google Scholar, Emerald Insight, and Garuda Dikti databases, 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed in depth using the PRISMA method. The synthesis results indicate that FWA has a positive effect on employee performance, especially when supported by work-life balance and work engagement as mediating variables. Several studies confirm that flexible work schedules and locations can improve employee well-being and work engagement, ultimately impacting productivity. However, the positive effects of FWA are not universal; organizational context, supervisor support, and technological readiness have been shown to be important factors determining its effectiveness. Studies also found that without adequate organizational support, FWA can lead to negative impacts such as social isolation, stress, and decreased job satisfaction. Overall, the results of this study confirm that FWA is a relevant human resource management strategy in the modern work era. Effective FWA implementation requires a balance between flexibility policies and strengthening organizational support systems, technology, and a collaborative work culture. These findings provide theoretical contributions by strengthening understanding of the relationship between FWA and performance, while also providing practical implications for organizations in designing adaptive, productive, and sustainable flexible work policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution mechanism of Surplus (SHU) at the KOPPEG Consumer Cooperative of the Population and Civil Registration Office of DKI Jakarta Province in 2024, evaluate its compliance with regulations, and formulate strategies for SHU improvement. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Results showed that SHU in 2024 reached Rp 570,515,784, increasing 57.26% from the previous year. The SHU distribution mechanism complied with Law No. 25 of 1992 and the cooperative’s bylaws, allocating 60% to members (70% based on transaction participation, 30% based on capital contribution) and 40% for cooperative funds. Financial performance indicated healthy conditions with liquidity ratio of 284.75%, solvency ratio of 34.80%, and profit margin of 14.28%. The SHU distribution positively impacted member welfare, membership growth of 5.6%, and capital strengthening of 8.68%. SWOT analysis identified high dependency on the savings and loan unit (96.84%) as the main weakness. Strategic recommendations include business unit diversification, service digitalization, and credit risk management enhancement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity and operational efficiency on the Remaining Operating Results (Sisa Hasil Usaha/SHU) of the Balitbang Kemendikbud Employees’ Cooperative during the 2022–2024 period. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the cooperative’s financial statements and supervisory reports. Liquidity is examined using the current ratio, while operational efficiency is measured through the operating expense to operating income ratio (BOPO). The results indicate that the cooperative’s liquidity level is relatively positive and supports smooth operational activities. However, excessively high liquidity at the end of the research period indicates the presence of idle funds that have not been optimally utilized. In terms of operational efficiency, the increase in the BOPO ratio in 2024 shows that operating expenses grew faster than operating income, resulting in a decline in SHU. Simultaneously, all variables have an effect on the level of SHU. Therefore, balanced liquidity management and effective control of operating expenses are required to improve the cooperative’s financial performance in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mechanism of murabahah contract implementation in home ownership financing at PT BSI KC Tangerang Ciledug. Murabahah is a sale and purchase contract that discloses the acquisition price and profit margin agreed upon between the seller and the buyer. Sharia-based home financing has become an alternative for Muslim communities who wish to conduct transactions in accordance with Islamic principles. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Primary data was obtained through interviews with Account Officers and operational staff, while secondary data was obtained from internal bank documents, DSN-MUI fatwas, and related regulations. The research findings indicate that BSI KC Tangerang Ciledug offers two main home financing products using murabahah contract: BSI Griya Hasanah for commercial property financing and BSI KPR Sejahtera for subsidized housing for Low-Income Communities. The murabahah contract mechanism follows sharia sale and purchase principles with structured stages including customer needs identification, wakalah process, transparent price and margin determination, execution of sale and purchase contract, and fixed installment payments. The implementation of murabahah contract complies with DSN-MUI Fatwa Number 04/DSN-MUI/IV/2000 by applying the principles of price transparency, margin certainty, and fairness for both parties.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of work–life balance, job stress, and work discipline on employee performance in Food and Beverage companies. The FnB industry faces job demands that often trigger stress, reduced discipline, and imbalance between personal life and work. This research uses a approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 43 respondents. The work–life balance variable is measured through indicators of time balance, involvement, and satisfaction. Job stress is measured through role ambiguity, career development, and work relationships. Work discipline is measured through punctuality, time utilization, compliance with rules, work targets, and work reports. Employee performance is analyzed through indicators of quality, quantity, timeliness, and work effectiveness. Research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, with all items declared valid and Cronbach’s Alpha values above 0.60. Data analysis was conducted using regression, t tests, F tests, and coefficient of determination. The results show that work–life balance has a significant effect on employee performance, job stress has no significant effect, while work discipline has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly affect employee performance with a contribution of 48.1 percent, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside the research model.

Abstract

Abstracts - This study aims to analyze the effect of Career FOMO, job satisfaction, and job stress on turnover intention among Generation Z employees at BFI Finance. Generation Z exhibits unique characteristics in perceiving careers, one of which is the increasing phenomenon of Career FOMO, defined as the fear of being left behind in professional development. This study is grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which explains that behavioral intention is influenced by attitudes toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. In this context, Career FOMO, job satisfaction, and job stress are positioned as factors shaping turnover intention. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 Generation Z employees at the headquarters of BFI Finance in Serpong, BSD. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that Career FOMO, job satisfaction, and job stress simultaneously have a significant effect on turnover intention, with a contribution of 55.1%. Partially, Career FOMO and job stress have a positive effect on turnover intention, while job satisfaction has a negative effect. Career FOMO is identified as the most dominant factor influencing turnover intention among Generation Z employees. These findings provide practical implications for management in designing more effective employee retention strategies aligned with the psychological and career-related characteristics of Generation Z.

Abstract

Abstracts - This study examines the fisheries sector’s contribution to economic growth within a blue economy perspective by positioning fish production as a mediating mechanism. Building on a modified Solow growth framework, we test the effects of labor and capital on GDP growth, both directly and indirectly through a latent Fish Production construct (FishProd) measured by capture fisheries production and aquaculture production. Annual secondary data are sourced from the World Bank. The model is estimated using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with bootstrapping to assess path significance and mediation effects. The results show that labor has a positive and statistically significant effect on economic growth, whereas capital is not significant. FishProd exerts a positive and significant effect on growth; however, neither labor nor capital significantly predicts FishProd. The indirect (mediated) effects are insignificant, indicating that fish production does not transmit the impacts of labor or capital to growth in the tested specification. These findings suggest that policies aiming to strengthen growth through fisheries should prioritize measures that raise fish output and improve the enabling production and post-harvest ecosystem under blue economy principles.
