Abstract

Advances in information technology make many human activities easier and faster. One form of information technology advancement that exists is the existence of a mobile application that can help users and management companies carry out various business processes online. Over time, people began to use applications to meet their daily needs, including the need to travel, such as booking travel tickets and hotels. One of the existing travel and hotel applications is Tiket.com and Pegipegi. Both of these applications offer the same services, making the competition even tougher. This research was conducted to compare user experiences from Tiket.com and PegiPegi using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method by measuring the attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty scales. The results showed that all UX scales from Tiket.com received positive evaluations. Whereas in Pegipegi, the attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, and stimulation scales received positive evaluations, but the novelty scale received neutral evaluations. From the results of the user experience comparison between Tiket.com and Pegipegi, Tiket.com gets a slightly higher user experience value than Pegipegi on all UEQ scales, but there is no significant difference for all scales.

Abstract

Digitalizing subsidized fertilizers distribution control is one of the government's efforts to increase program effectiveness. Information technology on Kartu Tani can record various transaction records, such as the remaining subsidized fertilizer quota for each farmer and purchase records. However, using Kartu Tani is still not optimal because some problems apply to this technology. The problems that often occur are data recording errors, using cards that do not fit their purpose and other distribution problems. This research aimed at reducing system weaknesses in the farmer card program has been carried out before, but the application of Blockchain technology in the distribution of subsidized fertilizers has not been widely discussed. This research will propose using Blockchain with the Hyperledger Fabric Framework to design a subsidized fertilizer distribution information system. Blockchain technology was chosen because it has suitable properties to overcome problems, including decentralization and immutability. These characteristics can be developed to build a transparent and integrity information system. The output of this study is an architectural design of subsidized fertilizer distribution that farmers easily accept.

Abstract

Prospective students have wider choice of opportunities as opposed to many choices of study majors offered by higher education institution. On the other hand, it can also cause difficulties for students to make the right choice. How a student make decision regarding his or her choice of study major is influenced by several factors, including student interest, majors chosen at the previous school level, students’ aspirations, as well as entry requirements at a particular university. This research aims to design a model of an information system that can make it easier for a student to obtain information about the most appropriate study program, among the many study programs offered by the university. The information generated by this system can be used as a reference to support recommendations for prospective students in deciding which study program they will choose appropriately. The system is designed by utilizing semantic web technology, by building an ontology based on several knowledge-bases to represent new knowledge. The ontology model designed in OWL format succeeded in connecting several knowledge-bases into comprehensive and contextual knowledge as a source of information that can be used by a prospective student to choose a study program based on these recommendations. Protege is used for ontology modeling, while implementation on the web server is done using Apache Jena platform.

Abstract

Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) is still one of the favorite admission routes for high school students to continue their education at Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN). SNMPTN uses semester 1 to 5 report card scores for 6 subjects that are inputted in Pangkalan Data Sekolah dan Siswa (PDSS). Prediction of SNMPTN can be done using machine learning models with various methods. This study aims to create a predictive model using the Decision Tree CART, Gaussian Naïve Bayes and Logistic Regression methods, make predictions and compare the level of accuracy of the models made. The methodology used in this research is Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD). This is to get useful knowledge from data. The dataset used is data on the scores of 6 subjects for 5 semesters from class 2015 to 2022. Model evaluation uses the Split Percentage Method and K-Fold Cross Validation. The results show that the accuracy scores for the 3 models are different. Logistic Regression has a score of 0.82, followed by Decision Tree CART with a score of 0.75 and finally Gaussian Naïve Bayes with a score of 0.70. The hypothesis put forward by the researcher is in accordance with the results obtained, that the Logistic Regression model has a higher accuracy score. Mathematically, Logistic Regression is not too complicated when compared to other models. To get a model that fits with needs must involve iterating through the machine learning process and trying various variations.

Abstract

The application of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) on Commuter Line trains can provide new knowledge in navigating between Commuter Line train lines and real commuter travel data. The AFC system allows management to obtain large amounts of detailed data regarding the routes of each commuter daily. One of the challenges faced in using big data at AFC is the extraction of data on the behavior of transporting passengers. Commuter Line passenger behavior is a very important factor for operators to make the right decision. This study uses the association rules method to extract AFC data to produce good information and understand Jabodetabek commuter behavior. The results showed that the association rules method could extract AFC data and produce strong association rules on commuter behavior.

Abstract

High school learning requires teachers to carry out the teaching process using appropriate learning methods and materials based on expected competencies. At SMA IBA Palembang, knowledge and experiences possessed by the teacher are still stored in each teacher and have not been documented in a system. However, when a teacher retires, the knowledge and experiences of the teacher will also go away and be lost. Therefore a Knowledge Management System (KMS) to manage teacher knowledge needs to be developed. In order to improve KMS development results in terms of usability and user experience, user experience design with the Design Thinking Method is an option. In this paper KMS development with the Design Thinking Method is used to identify problems and existing user needs. This solution can produce good user interface and user experience based on user needs at SMA IBA Palembang. Before being implemented, the KMS has been tested using the System Usability Scale method with an average value of 81.43. It means that the system is accepted by prospective users. The KMS implementation was tested with 43 test items using the Blackbox Testing method. The result stated that the system could function to solve problems that occurred.

Abstract

DISKOMINFO OKU Regency provides recommendations for the establishment of telecommunication towers. Then do the planning and arrangement of telecommunication towers. However, this is still done manually based on map visualization in printed books, so when changes occur, you have to reprint the book, and you have to re-plan with Microsoft Excel, which makes the process more difficult and time consuming. In addition, there is no digital tower information service causing a lack of information for tower providers, so that the construction of towers has not been properly organized. So the solution to this problem is to build a system that can manage data, can map telecommunication towers and can plan the need for shared towers for the next 5 years by taking into account population, cellular service users, traffic requirements, number of BTS and tower coverage radius, and can provides information on checking coordinates by applying the haversine method which is useful so that the construction of new towers can be properly arranged in the system, where the system is made based on a website with a design using the waterfall method. The results of this study are an application that can assist the process of planning and arrangement of towers, both visual maps, tower requirements, checking coordinates and so on, which is done computerized.

Abstract

Technological developments force businesses to provide the best service by making recommendation systems a solution to maintain consumer loyalty. Many studies have been carried out on recommendation systems to overcome Cold-Start or Serendipitous Problems. This study conducted Hybrid Collaborative Filtering and Content-Based filtering using the Switching method as a medium for selecting the correct data and attributes. Furthermore, the data is processed using the TF-IDF and KNN algorithms. This study conducted several tests using various K values and the training and testing data composition. The test results show that the highest accuracy produced by the model that has been developed is 83.62 percent for the switching method with the product category attribute as the variable label and 74.9 percent for the switching method with the rating attribute as the variable label. The training and testing data ratio used in this study is 70:30, with a K equals 3. The study's results also found a significant correlation between the K value and the accuracy value, where a high K value would also result in high accuracy.

Abstract

Overseas students usually have difficulty finding boarding houses around Malikussaleh University. To get information on boarding houses, they have to search manually, so the time needed to find a boarding house can be very long. The purpose of this research is to produce a Geographic Information System that can make it easier for students to find information about the location of boarding houses, provide recommendations in selecting boarding houses, and find the shortest distance for each boarding house to campus. By using the MAUT method combined with an algorithm A* can provide recommendations in selecting boarding houses and provide the shortest distance from the location of each boarding house to the Campus. The results of this study resulted in recommendations for boarding houses based on the results of ranking using the MAUT method. The boarding houses with the top three rankings are 4G Boarding House, Ceiza Boarding House, and Hj Boarding House. Madriah. With distance of 0.75 km, 2.01 km and 1.38 km. With an algorithmA* to find the closest route it can be concluded that the MAUT method and algorithm A* is a combination that can be used in evaluating boarding houses and solutions in searching for the shortest distance.

Abstract

The chili plant is one of the high economic value vegetable commodities which has the potential to continue to grow. On the other hand, this plant’s production still has obstacles such as pests and disease. Identifying the pest and diseases earlier is needed to protect against these problems. In this work, image recognition technology is applied to recognize the pest and diseases of the chili plant. First, the image of healty leaves and infected leaves by P. Latus, B. Tabaci, Gemini virus, and Cercospora sp are collected. The next step is image prepocessing, including cropping and resizing to make uniform image format and background removal to reduce background effects in image processing. Red-Green-Blue (RGB) input images are changed to grayscale images to give input one color channel. The images are extracted to get features using Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) method. Extracted texture features involve contrast, correlation, energy, homogeneity, and dissimilarity with average angle values are 0°, 45°, 90° and 135°. Furthermore, all obtained features are classified into five classes using K-Means Clustering Algorithm. Extraction and segmentation results are used as parameters in the classification process using a Support Vector Machine (SVM). In this work, the result of this process is 82%.
