Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to empirically analyze the impact of the growth of the tourism sector (represented by the Accommodation and Food and Beverage subsector) and the fisheries sector on the Total Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) Growth in Wakatobi Regency, Indonesia, during the 2015–2019 period. As an archipelagic region that relies on these two sea-based sectors, identifying their contributions and interactions is crucial for sustainable economic development. Using a time series approach with Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, secondary data of GRDP at Constant Prices (ADHK) 2010 from BPS Wakatobi Regency was processed. The estimation results show that the model has very high explanatory power (R^2 = 0.883), which indicates that 88.3% of the variation in Total GRDP is influenced by both variables. However, the results of the Simultaneous Significance Test (F Test) (Prob. 0.116) and Partial Test (t Test) found that neither Tourism nor Fisheries Sector Growth statistically had a significant effect on Total GRDP Growth. Synergy analysis through the interaction model also did not prove significant. These findings indicate that Wakatobi Regency's total GRDP growth is currently dominated by non-basic factors, represented by model constants (such as government spending and household consumption), while leakage and weak inter-sectoral linkages prevent the significant impact of basic sectors from being internalized into aggregate GRDP. This study recommends the need for policies to strengthen backward linkages between the tourism sector and local products and further analysis of disaggregated GRDP by industry to identify true spillover effects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between the effectiveness of national leadership performance and economic stability and growth in Indonesia. In developing countries like Indonesia, the role of central (executive) leadership is a crucial determinant in determining the direction of fiscal, monetary, and infrastructure development policies. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review of macroeconomic data across various leadership periods. The analysis shows that credible leadership performance has a significant influence on market confidence and the flow of foreign direct investment (FDI). Key variables such as decisiveness in bureaucratic reform, the political stability created, and decision-making ability during times of global crisis are the main drivers of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) dynamics. This study concludes that leadership with a long-term vision can mitigate national economic risks, while less stable leadership tends to lead to market volatility. These findings recommend the need to synchronize leadership vision with the strengthening of economic institutions to create sustainable development that does not rely solely on individual figures

Abstract

This study examines how servant leadership influences employee job satisfaction using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Articles published 2021 and 2026 were collected from databases such as Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and ProQuest. The findings indicate that servant leadership is positively associated with job satisfaction across various organizational contexts. This leadership style enhances trust, strengthens relationships between leaders and employees, and creates a supportive work environment. Furthermore, the result shows that the relationship between servant leadership and job satisfaction operates through psychological mechanisms, such as trust and leader-member exchange, as well as structural mechanisms, including empowerment and employee development. However, the strength of this relationship varies depending on contextual factors, such as organizational culture and individual characteristics. Therefore, organizations are encouraged to implement servant leadership by considering internal conditions and contextual dynamics.

Abstract

The sandwich generation is a phenomenon in which productive-age individuals must bear the financial burden of two generations simultaneously, namely elderly parents and children who are still financially dependent. In Indonesia, this phenomenon is increasingly widespread due to the growing elderly population, rising cost of living, limited old-age security, and strong family cultural values that encourage cross-generational financial responsibility. This study aims to explain the concept of the sandwich generation, analyze its contributing factors, and examine its impact on the welfare of the workforce in Indonesia. The method used is a systematic literature review by examining various scientific sources including journals, books, research reports, and relevant official publications. The findings indicate that the sandwich generation phenomenon significantly affects workforce welfare, encompassing financial pressure, declining quality of life, difficulty in saving and investing, and reduced productivity due to work-related stress and emotional exhaustion. At the macro level, the low saving capacity of this group also reduces the flow of productive investment funds within the national economy. To address this condition, a synergy is needed between improving financial literacy at the individual and family level and strengthening social protection policies by the government, so that workforce welfare can be maintained and the cycle of cross-generational financial vulnerability can be minimized.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the Indonesian economy, contributing significantly to employment and national economic growth. However, increasing business competition requires MSMEs to implement effective marketing strategies to maintain their businesses and improve sales performance. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies implemented by The Bake House, a premium bakery MSME that has evolved from a home-based business to a delivery service store. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through direct observation, interviews with the business owner, and interviews with five customers to understand their perceptions of product and service quality. SWOT analysis, STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning), and Marketing Mix (7P) were used as analytical tools. The results show that The Bake House's main strengths lie in its premium product quality, aesthetic product presentation, and friendly customer service. However, the business still faces several challenges, including limited production capacity and inconsistent digital marketing activities. Meanwhile, the increasing demand for specialty cakes and bakery products for family events and seasonal celebrations presents significant opportunities for business expansion. Overall, the research findings indicate that a well-planned and consistent marketing strategy, particularly through digital promotions and product innovation, can help The Bake House increase its competitiveness, expand its market reach, and strengthen customer loyalty in the increasingly competitive premium bakery industry.

Abstract

The fisheries sector in Pasuruan City has significant potential to support the coastal economy, supported by its strategic geographic location and abundant marine resources. However, this potential has not been optimally utilized due to a gap between the availability of natural resources and the quality of the human resources (HR) managing them. These challenges include low human resource quality, the use of traditional production methods, limited innovation in fisheries processing, and a marketing system that relies heavily on middlemen. This study aims to analyze the role of human resource quality in improving productivity and community welfare in the fisheries sector in Pasuruan City. The method used is a literature review, reviewing various relevant previous studies. The results indicate that human resource quality is a key factor in increasing productivity, business efficiency, and the added value of fishery products. Furthermore, the use of technology and strengthening business institutions play a crucial role in expanding market access and increasing the competitiveness of business actors. Therefore, improving human resource quality through training, mentoring, and technology utilization is a key strategy in optimizing the potential of the fisheries sector. These efforts are expected to increase productivity, strengthen competitiveness, and encourage sustainable improvements in the welfare of coastal communities.

Abstract

Economic development plays a crucial role in improving the quality of human resources (HR) in Indonesia. Sustainable economic growth enables increased access to education, healthcare, and decent employment, thus improving skills, productivity, and public welfare. Furthermore, economic development encourages innovation and technological mastery to face global competition. However, various challenges remain, such as development inequality, low education quality in some regions, and limited access to economic opportunities. Therefore, synergy between the government, the private sector, and the community is needed to create inclusive and sustainable policies. Thus, economic development is oriented not only toward growth but also toward improving the quality of human resources, the nation's primary asset.
