Abstract

In the modern era of computers and the internet, the need for effective data analysis tools is increasing. In the data mining industry, RapidMiner has developed into an essential tool for using simple but effective classification methods such as k-Nearest Neighbors (KNN). The purpose of this study is to evaluate RapidMiner's ability to implement KNN and evaluate its performance on various datasets derived from various characteristics. Test results show that RapidMiner can implement KNN with satisfactory accuracy for most datasets; The methodology used measures classification performance through metrics such as accuracy, recall, precision, and F1 score. In conclusion, RapidMiner has a lot of potential for practical application of KNN, but it has limitations when working with large datasets.

Abstract

One of the keys to the success of a retail company is good stock management. Intuition-based methods are often not enough because customer demands are always changing. This research concentrates on the use of the C4.5 decision tree algorithm on the RapidMiner platform to optimize the selection of goods in the Toko Usaha Muda. This algorithm is used to predict future stock requirements by looking at previous sales patterns in stores and historical sales data. The results show a significant increase in the accuracy of stock predictions and a decrease in the probability of loss due to excess or stockouts. This implementation not only enhances the operations of the Toko Usaha Muda, but also provides a framework that other retail businesses can use to increase their profits through better stock management.

Abstract

In recent years, the cake and pastry market, including Bolu Menara, has grown rapidly and attracted many customers. This research looks at Bolu Menara sales data collected during a certain period using the C.45 algorithm from the RapidMiner application. The aim of this method is to discover purchasing patterns and understand consumer patterns to improve marketing strategies. For example, the analysis results show that consumers with certain criteria tend to buy Bolu Menara more often than other people. So, this method succeeds in finding sales patterns that can be used as a basis for marketing strategies, enabling businesses to improve their marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

Abstract

In the current era of computers and the internet, educational data analysis has become very important to optimize the teaching and learning process. This study focuses on the use of the K-Means clustering algorithm used by the RapidMiner application to group assignment grades given to students during one academic semester. The goal is to discover patterns of achievement and areas that require intervention. The results show that the algorithm is very effective in identifying groups of students based on their performance and dividing them into middle, high, and those who need help. In short, the use of K-Means Clustering with RapidMiner offers a useful analytical approach for education. This allows for a more customized learning approach that is based on analysis of student achievement.

Abstract

In facing this digital era, organizations are faced with the challenge of understanding and fully utilizing the potential of digital communications in order to achieve optimal effectiveness. Digital communication includes a variety of tools, such as online collaboration platforms, email, social media, and other technology-based applications. The success of an organization not only depends on the adoption of this technology, but also on the extent to which the organization is able to manage and build the effectiveness of communication through these digital media. Therefore, this research aims to establish the effectiveness of digital communication in an organization. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that the implementation of digital communication in organizations has a positive impact on operational efficiency and productivity. Respondents highlighted that the use of digital communication tools, such as email and collaborative platforms, overcomes distance and time constraints, speeds up the exchange of information, and facilitates faster decision making. Employee engagement also increases through interactive communication channels, creating a more open and collaborative work environment. Despite this, challenges related to technological inadequacy and digital security issues remain major concerns that require strategic action in optimizing the benefits of digital communications within organizations.

Abstract

There is generalization and uniformity in the form of development and visuals of the city, so that the city becomes increasingly foreign to society, especially in recognizing and exploring the potential of one's identity to fulfill one's life needs. A city as a complex entity is not only a physical collection of buildings, but also a system of meaning that can be described through a semiotic approach. This research aims to reveal the identity of a city through analyzing city elements using semiotic theory as a basis. A semiotic approach allows us to understand the way symbols and signs within a city contribute to the formation of its identity. The results of this research reveal that city architecture is not just a physical structure, but rather a reflection of the city's identity which is formed through careful planning, taking into account historical, local, rarity, socio-cultural, aesthetic and harmony values. Green and non-green open spaces in urban areas display various forms that reflect social interaction, providing a place for people to communicate, share experiences and build relationships. Apart from its ecological function, open space also has an important role in the social, architectural and economic aspects of cities. Thus, this research highlights the complexity of city elements and symbols in shaping identity as well as the role of open spaces as centers of social interaction, providing insights for holistic and sustainable urban planning.

Abstract

Travel activities' growth as an effort to seek balance, harmony, and happiness with the environment has intensified competition in the tourism industry. Therefore, this study employs the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to aid in selecting travel packages and reservations. This method enables the assessment of alternative performances based on specified criteria such as hotel class, package price, number of tours, and tour duration. The SAW process involves normalizing decision matrices and summing matrix multiplications with a weight vector, resulting in alternative rankings from the largest to the smallest. The case study demonstrates that the selection of travel packages is conducted by assigning weights to each criterion, such as hotel class, package price, number of tours, and tour duration. The final results reveal alternative rankings, facilitating decision-makers in choosing travel packages that align with their preferences. By utilizing the SAW method, this decision support system streamlines the assessment and selection of travel packages, enhancing service quality and consumer satisfaction in the tourism industry.
