Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is a form of implementation of Ki Hajar Dewantara's student-centered learning philosophy. One of the characteristics of the Merdeka Curriculum is understanding the needs and position of students so that they can provide learning with a portion that suits the needs of students. The curriculum applies the concept of learning differentiation, which is an effort to bridge the different characteristics of students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the verses of the Qur'an and Hadith that are in line with the concept and implementation of differentiated learning. This research uses a literature review. The result is that the concept and implementation of differentiated learning has also been reported by Allah SWT through verses in the Qur'an and practiced by Rosulloh SAW in his hadith about the most important practice.

Abstract

Effective Human Resource Management (HRM) is critical in education, especially in teacher management. Qualified and professional teachers play a direct role in the success of learning, so teacher HR management must be carried out carefully to ensure optimal teaching quality. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, focusing on human resource management (HRM) at SMP Plus Al-Ishlah and its impact on teaching quality. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, with research subjects including the principal and teachers. Source triangulation was carried out to increase the validity of the results, comparing data from interviews, observations, and HRM policy documents. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study indicate that Human Resource Management (HRM) at SMP Plus Al-Ishlah focuses on teacher management to improve the quality of education. The process begins with teacher needs planning, strict selection through tests and interviews, and ongoing training such as workshops to improve teaching skills. Performance assessments are carried out systematically to ensure teacher professionalism. A conducive work environment is also built through a spirit of togetherness and openness, supporting teachers to continue to develop and commit. This approach ensures that the quality of education is maintained through the dedication of professional teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to increase interest in learning Arabic through the application of interactive and contextual methods that are relevant to the needs of students. High interest in learning is an important factor in the success of learning Arabic, especially in the midst of the challenge of low learning motivation among students. Interactive methods, such as group discussions and educational games, as well as contextual methods that connect the subject matter with daily life situations, are expected to increase students' participation and understanding. The research used a qualitative approach with a classroom action research design. Data was collected through direct observation, interviews with students and teachers, and questionnaires to measure the level of interest in learning before and after the application of this method. The data analysis technique involved the description and interpretation of the results of the action to determine the impact of the method used. The results showed that interactive and contextual methods significantly increased students' interest in learning Arabic. Students became more active in learning, showed more enthusiasm, and were able to apply vocabulary and grammar in relevant contexts. Teachers also noted an increase in students' understanding and skills in using Arabic. The implication of this research confirms that the application of interactive and contextual methods can be an effective solution to increase interest in learning Arabic. The contribution of this research provides guidance for educators to adopt more innovative approaches, so that Arabic language learning is not only academically relevant but also interesting and fun for students.

Abstract

This research utilizes the literature research method and looks at the main Islamic sources relating to the concept of time and its management. The results show that the Qur'an and Hadith emphasize the importance of time as a gift that should be well utilized for learning and forming discipline and Islamic character in students. It is evident that the application of Islamic values in learning time management improves students' efficiency, discipline and learning outcomes. This method also helps build Islamic character, which includes discipline, responsibility and respect for time. But there are problems such as students who do not know and teachers who cannot apply these principles thoroughly. To improve the quality of learning and students' morals, this study suggests strengthening Qur'anic and Hadith-based educational methods.

Abstract

Abdul Karim Amrullah and Abdullah Ahmad are reformers of Islamic education in Minangkabau. These two figures played an important role in the advancement of Islamic education in Minangkabau. The purpose of this article is to find out the thoughts on Islamic education and the concept of Islamic education initiated by Abdul Karim Amrullah and Abdullah Ahmad and how the differences and similarities in the thoughts of Islamic education from Abdul Karim Amrullah and Abdullah Ahmad. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with library research method. The results of this study indicate that Abdul Karim Amrullah carried out educational reforms in the curriculum field, namely incorporating religious sciences and languages ​​into the Islamic education curriculum reaching twelve subjects and using various kinds of books. These subjects are Nahwu Science, Sharaf Science, Fiqh Science, Interpretation Science, Monotheism Science, Hadith Science, Musthalah Hadith Science, Mantiq Science, Ma'ani Science, Bayan Science, Ushul Fiqh Science, the learning method used by Abdul Karim Amrullah is by changing the education system from halaqah to classical, while Abdullah Ahmad carried out educational reforms in the curriculum sector, namely integrating the curriculum of religious education and general education, and learning methods, namely debating clubs, reward and punishment methods and methods of playing games and recreation.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and integrate pesantren values into contingency communication strategies to create more effective crisis management. The focus of the study is on the application of values such as honesty, exemplary behavior, deliberation, and sense of responsibility in crisis management in pesantren. The approach used is qualitative with a case study type, where data is collected through in-depth interviews with pesantren managers, kiai, senior santri, and communication practitioners involved in crisis management, as well as participatory observation in crisis situations. The results of the study indicate that honesty as the main value of pesantren can accelerate crisis recovery by maintaining transparency and credibility of information. The exemplary behavior of pesantren leaders has proven effective in providing a sense of calm and clear direction to the community and santri. In addition, the application of the principle of deliberation in decision-making during a crisis allows for the achievement of more inclusive solutions that are accepted by various parties. By integrating these pesantren values, a pesantren-based crisis communication model can be produced, which is not only more humane, but also effective in creating communication that builds trust and reduces fear in the midst of a crisis.

Abstract

This study utilizes qualitative methods to explore the impacts of permissive and authoritarian parenting styles on the self-confidence of 5-6-year-old children. Self-confidence is crucial to develop from early childhood due to its long-term effects on their subsequent growth. One significant outcome is that children become more capable of facing challenges and difficult situations. The subjects of this research are children aged 5-6 years raised under permissive and authoritarian parental styles. Data collection methods include observations and interviews, with data analysis conducted using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that parents employing permissive parenting styles tend to create environments conducive to exploration and bolstering their children's self-confidence. In contrast, parents using authoritarian parenting styles tend to raise children who are less confident, feeling constrained by strict rules. The implications of these findings underscore the need for more responsive and supportive parenting approaches to aid positive self-confidence development in early childhood.

Abstract

The implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) in Islamic educational institutions serves as a crucial strategy to enhance administrative efficiency, transparency, and the quality of educational services. However, this implementation process faces various challenges, including limited human resources, technological infrastructure, and resistance to change. This study aims to identify the challenges and opportunities in implementing MIS in Islamic educational institutions through a qualitative approach based on literature studies. Data were collected from various journal articles, books, and relevant official documents. The findings reveal that despite certain challenges, significant opportunities arise from government support, increasingly affordable technology, and the demand for modernizing educational management. This study provides recommendations to strengthen human resource capacity, expand infrastructure, and integrate MIS into the strategic policies of Islamic educational institutions. These findings are expected to assist policymakers and practitioners in optimizing MIS implementation to enhance the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the innovation of technology-based teaching methods in Islamic religious education in Padang City and its impact in forming a golden generation with noble character. Padang City was chosen as the research location because it is one of the rapidly growing centers of Islamic education in Indonesia, with various institutions that have begun to utilize technology to support the learning process. The main focus of this research is to understand the effectiveness of the application of technology in teaching, especially to improve students' religious understanding and morality. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis in educational institutions in Padang City. Research participants consisted of educators, students and parents involved in the technology-based learning process. Data were analyzed using a thematic approach to explore patterns of innovation and their impact on students' character building. The results show that the application of technology in teaching Islam, such as the use of interactive applications, learning videos, and digital platforms, can increase students' interest and understanding of teaching materials. In addition, this method also provides flexibility in learning, allowing students to learn according to their own pace and style. However, the research also found some challenges, such as limited access to technology in some areas and the need for training for educators to be more adaptive to the use of technology. The implication of this research is the importance of developing a technology-based curriculum that remains grounded in Islamic values to support education in the digital era. The contribution of this research is to provide insights for education stakeholders in Padang City in designing more innovative and inclusive policies, in order to produce a golden generation that is not only intellectually smart but also superior in morals.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by Islamic boarding schools in facing the communication crisis in the digital era, as well as how Islamic boarding schools can adapt digital technology in their education and preaching. The method used is a qualitative approach with case studies in several Islamic boarding schools representing various levels of technology adoption. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with Islamic boarding school administrators, ustaz and Islamic boarding school students, as well as direct observation of activities in Islamic boarding schools and analysis of digital documentation such as social media and preaching videos. The collected data was then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify main themes regarding the use of technology, communication challenges and strategies implemented by Islamic boarding schools. The research results show that Islamic boarding schools face difficulties in adopting technology due to limited resources and digital skills, but also find opportunities to expand the reach of da'wah and education through digital media. This research suggests that Islamic boarding schools improve the digital skills of managers and students, and utilize technology effectively without reducing the traditional values ​​taught. These findings provide recommendations for developing digital communication in Islamic boarding schools so that they remain relevant in the digital era.
