Abstract

This research aims to review and describe the implementation of Sharia principles and service quality at PT Zakiah Dina Tayyibah Tours & Travel Umroh and Special Hajj, which is headquartered in Parepare City. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The focus of the study covers four aspects: management system, transaction mechanism, corporate culture, and product promotion. The research findings indicate that PT Zakiah Dina Tayyibah has implemented Sharia principles comprehensively across its entire operation. Management is based on the values of amanah (trust), honesty, professionalism, and social responsibility. The transaction mechanism employs the Ijarah al-A’mal contract (service lease), where the company acts as a service provider leasing the benefit of Umrah services to the pilgrims. Transactions are conducted transparently with valid contract evidence and are free from elements of riba (usury), gharar (uncertainty), and maisir (speculation). The corporate culture prominently highlights the values of familial relationship, amanah (trustworthiness), and worship-based service. Meanwhile, promotion is carried out ethically and honestly and is oriented towards the maslahat (benefit/welfare) of the pilgrims, such as offering promotional prices on Umrah packages (Silver, Gold, Platinum) to commemorate the company's anniversary (milad). This strategic framework is also explained through the Business Model Canvas (BMC), which shows that the company's Value Propositions center on providing pilgrimage services that comply with Sharia. The company's rapid growth indicates that the implementation of Sharia principles has successfully maintained the trust (amanah) and loyalty of the pilgrims.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Gold Ownership Financing (PKE), specifically the 'Solusi Emas Hijrah' product by Bank Muamalat KCP Parepare. It focuses on the dual akad (contract) structure of Murabahah Tanpa Wakalah (cost-plus sale without agency) and Rahn (pawn/collateral), as well as Sharia compliance and regional operational risk mitigation. The background problem arises from the tension between the demand for installment-based gold investment and the classic Fiqh Muamalah principle requiring spot (cash) transactions for gold sales (yadan bi yadin). The main findings indicate that the Solusi Emas Hijrah product is normatively compliant, achieved through fixing the total sale price over the financing tenor of up to 120 months (ensuring there is no riba al-nasi’ah or deferred interest), and the mandatory pledging of the 24-karat gold through the Rahn contract, where itis stored by the bank until the financing is settled. The pledged gold must be stored centrally in the Head Office/Main Branch Treasury (Khasanah Kantor Pusat/KCU), not at KCP Parepare, due to the Sub-Branch Office's (KCP) infrastructure limitations. This centralization is effective in mitigating physical security and credit risk, where late payment fines are allocated to the Charity Fund (Dana Kebajikan), but simultaneously increases operational risk related to the logistics and chain of custody of assets at KCP Parepare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze user experiences when interacting with Shopee’s chatbot and to evaluate its contribution to user satisfaction in Pekalongan City. The research employed a qualitative approach with five informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the chatbot provides users with convenience and fast access to basic information, helping them complete simple tasks more efficiently. However, the chatbot’s ability to understand the context of user questions remains limited, resulting in responses that are often general and not fully aligned with user needs. These limitations lead to varied levels of satisfaction depending on the complexity of the issues faced. The study concludes that Shopee’s chatbot has the potential to improve the quality of digital services if enhanced with better language comprehension and contextual understanding. The results highlight the need for further development of chatbot capabilities to create a more adaptive and satisfying service experience for users.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sharia business management practices of the Hiray Cafe MSME operating in Parepare City. Hiray Cafe is known as a popular cafe among various groups due to its affordable prices, good product quality, and aesthetic and comfortable atmosphere. This study highlights the application of sharia principles through the provision of halal food and beverage products, the use of ingredients in accordance with Islamic law, and attention to employee religious aspects such as maintaining discipline in performing the five daily prayers. Hiray's business structure includes a division of roles from the owner, manager, HRD, to operational divisions such as baristas, pastry, kitchen, and waiters, which helps work effectiveness and coordination at the MSME scale. The marketing management system utilizes social media such as Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and collaboration with courier partners to expand digital market reach. In addition, a business culture that emphasizes product quality, personalized service, halal certification, and a comfortable atmosphere are key values in business management. The analysis shows that Hiray Cafe has consistently implemented elements of Sharia business management, particularly in halal certification, service ethics, and honest and professional relationships with customers and partners. These findings can serve as a reference for other MSMEs in developing relevant and competitive Sharia-based business models in the digital era.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of village road development in improving regional connectivity in Rote Ndao Regency. Field conditions indicate that although the length of village roads has increased, the proportion of roads in good condition has declined, with most of the road network remaining in damaged and severely damaged conditions. This situation reflects ongoing challenges in maintaining the quality and sustainability of village road infrastructure. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by collecting secondary data from scientific journals, government performance reports, development planning documents, and relevant media articles. The literature review process is conducted through thematic grouping and content analysis to identify patterns, constraints, and policy implications related to village road development in Rote Ndao Regency.The findings reveal that: (1) the implementation of village road development has not been optimal; (2) supporting factors include government commitment and the availability of regulations, while inhibiting factors include limited inter-agency coordination and the quality of human resources; (3) the community responds positively to village road development; and (4) the road development that has been implemented has proven to improve regional connectivity, with tangible impacts on economic productivity and access to education, health services, and other public services.The conclusion emphasizes that village road development plays a strategic role in supporting regional connectivity and community welfare. Therefore, improvements in infrastructure quality and institutional capacity are necessary to achieve sustainable and optimal development outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of sharia principles in the iB Gold Savings product at Bank BTN Syariah Parepare Branch Office. The focus of the study includes the implementation of the Mudharabah Mutlaqah contract, profit-sharing mechanisms, management transparency, and the role of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) in ensuring operational compliance with Islamic law. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results show that Bank BTN Syariah Parepare has implemented sharia principles optimally in all operational aspects. The Mudharabah contract is implemented with a fair profit-sharing system, namely 25% for customers and 75% for the bank, without any elements of usury, gharar, or maysir. Collaboration with PT Antam ensures the authenticity and security of customers' gold investments. In addition to providing ease of investment, the implementation of sharia principles also strengthens trust, loyalty, and the image of BTN Syariah as a financial institution based on Islamic values. The iB Gold Savings product has proven to be not only financially profitable, but also spiritually valuable because it is in line with the goals of justice and welfare in the Islamic economic system.

Abstract

Digital marketing strategy is a series of systematically designed planning and marketing activities aimed at building, strengthening, and maintaining a company’s presence in the digital environment through the use of various online channels. The primary objective of implementing a digital marketing strategy is to increase brand awareness and attract new customers in a more effective and efficient manner. Through a well-planned digital marketing strategy, companies can achieve specific digital marketing objectives by selecting media and platforms that align with the characteristics of the target market. Enhancing brand awareness is a strategic investment for companies, as it plays a crucial role in creating competitive advantage, expanding market reach, building consumer trust, and fostering long-term customer loyalty. This study employs a literature review method to examine key concepts of digital marketing, including its definitions, types, and commonly used strategies. In addition, the article analyzes the impact of digital marketing strategies on brand awareness, discusses their implementation across various industries, and evaluates their effectiveness in increasing brand awareness, with a specific focus on CV Bintang Bangkit.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategic role of halal product and service innovation in addressing sustainability and global climate change issues. Using a literature review approach, the article synthesizes academic sources and industry reports to evaluate the halal industry's contribution to sustainable development agendas. The findings reveal that halal innovation has expanded across sectors such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, tourism, logistics, and Islamic finance, supported by technologies like blockchain and green finance. These innovations enhance transparency, efficiency, and global competitiveness. Despite challenges faced by halal MSMEs, including limited access to technology and certification regulations, the integration of circular economy principles and the Halal Value Chain offers inclusive and adaptive growth opportunities. The study concludes that synergy between halal innovation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 12 and SDG 13, can strengthen a competitive and sustainable halal ecosystem. Practical recommendations are provided for business actors, regulators, and academics to foster cross-sector collaboration in building an ethical and environmentally friendly halal industry.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of evaluating regional financial performance as a benchmark for the effectiveness of managing the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). East Kotawaringin Regency was selected as the object of research due to its significant fiscal dynamics during the 2020–2024 period. The purpose of this study is to assess regional financial performance through several ratios, namely revenue effectiveness, tax growth, capital expenditure, expenditure harmony, and expenditure growth. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative, using secondary data from the budget realization reports published by the Central Bureau of Statistics and the local government. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed by calculating regional financial ratios and interpreting the results systematically. The findings reveal that revenue effectiveness increased consistently and exceeded the target in 2024, while tax growth fluctuated, experiencing a decline in 2023 before recovering in the following year. Capital expenditure showed a gradual increase yet remained relatively low, whereas expenditure harmony indicated a positive shift toward direct expenditure. Overall, the regional financial performance demonstrated an improving trend, although challenges remain in maintaining long-term fiscal stability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Sharia contracts applied in the Hajj and Umrah Savings products at Bank Muamalat Parepare Branch, which utilizes several main contracts, namely mudharabah mutlaqah, wadiah yad dhamanah, and ijarah, each having distinct functions and characteristics in managing customer funds. The approach used is qualitative descriptive, with data collected through in-depth interviews with management, direct observation, and documentation of bank policies and operational procedures. The results indicate that the implementation of these contracts aligns with the principles and fatwas of the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI), both in fund management, contract mechanisms, and customer services. However, challenges were identified such as customers' limited understanding of the differences between the contracts, necessitating more intensive Sharia education by the bank. This study emphasizes that the application of Sharia contracts must be implemented consistently not only formally but also by upholding the values and ethics of Islamic banking, which stress justice, transparency, and accountability. Customer education and strengthening the capacity of the bank’s human resources are crucial factors to ensure the sustainability and improvement of the quality of the Hajj and Umrah Savings products in accordance with the maqasid al-shariah (objectives of Sharia). Thus, this study contributes to the development of literature and practice in Sharia banking, particularly for ibadah savings products that require deep understanding and holistic, ethical service.
