Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar peserta didik kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri Ternate. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik UPTD SMP Neger Ternate. Sampel yang digunakan adalah peserta didik kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIB sebagai kelas kontrol. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Quasi Experimrimental Design yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent control grup Design yaitu mengharuskan adanya kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dengan bantuan aplikasi IBM SPSS statistic versi 20, yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji asumsi klasik dan uji prasyarat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai tertinggi 90 dan nilai terendah 67 dengan nilai rata-rata 78 dan standar deviasi 7,10427. Berdasarkan uji statistik (uji t) menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS statistic versi 20, yang telah dilakukan diperoleh nilai thitung = 8,536. Nilai ini lebih besar dari nilai ttabel = 2,051 dengan dk = n1 + n2 – 2 dan taraf signifikansi 5%. Oleh karena itu H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities on quadratic equations material at MA Nurul Falah Kangge.The type of research is classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles.Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.The instruments used include observation sheets, problem-solving ability tests, and documentation.The research results show an improvement in students' problem-solving abilities from cycle I to cycle II.The average problem-solving ability score increased from 50% in cycle 1 to 80% in cycle 2, and the percentage of students achieving the good category also increased to very good.Thus, the implementation of the PBL model has proven effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Education is currently in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic, so that one of the alternatives used by the current government in the learning process is online and offline learning or what we usually know as blended learning, due to the demands of the learning process that must be interesting, new innovations are needed remembering Mathematics Learning is something that is considered difficult by many people. This study aims to (1) develop interesting learning media using applications (2) Attract students' interest in learning mathematics with learning videos. The research approach used in this research is R&D using the Nano Learning learning method and the ADDIE product development model. The subject in making this learning video is Class VII MTs 01 Alor. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) model in enhancing students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group was employed to compare the outcomes of the experimental group, which implemented the TPS model, with the control group that used conventional teaching methods. The results showed a significant improvement in the problem-solving skills of students in the experimental group compared to the control group. The posttest scores of the experimental group were notably higher, and statistical analysis (t-test) confirmed a significant difference (p < 0.05). This improvement can be attributed to the active involvement fostered by the TPS model, which provides students with the opportunity to reflect on their thoughts individually (think), discuss and consolidate ideas with peers (pair), and share their findings with the class (share). These findings align with previous studies that indicate the effectiveness of TPS in enhancing conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills. The results of this study underscore the importance of collaborative learning in mathematics, highlighting that TPS fosters deeper engagement and greater comprehension in solving complex mathematical problems.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of statistics in Grade X at MAN 01 Alor. Two classes participated: an experimental class using the Jigsaw model and a control class using traditional teaching. Pre-test scores were comparable (55 vs. 56), but post-test results showed a significant improvement in the experimental class (78) compared to the control (65). The 23-point gain in the experimental group versus 9 points in the control group indicates the Jigsaw model's positive impact. The model encourages peer teaching, active participation, and deeper understanding. These findings support previous research (Slavin, 2018; Çakır & Akbulut, 2022) and suggest Jigsaw is effective, especially in 3T (remote and underdeveloped) regions like Alor. It highlights the potential of student-centered learning in improving mathematics outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of the local wisdom values of the Alor ethnic group which contains the meaning of tolerance, divided into three dimensions, namely the local wisdom of the Alor ethnic group which is related to religiosity, nature and fellow humans. Religion, as a religious community, implements cultural values between people in traditional baloe (new eating) rituals and preserves the nature that has been passed down from ancestors. The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Informants in the research included school principals, teachers, students, traditional leaders, community leaders and religious leaders. Participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation were used as tools to collect research data. Data validity with source triangulation. The findings in this research are that students get used to respecting and respecting each other in terms of differences in ethnicity, religion and race, then getting students used to being involved in implementing cultural values that have been passed down from their ancestors and carrying out their obligations as religious people.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parents in the motivation to learn mathematics of eighth-grade students in class VIII-1 at SMP Negeri Cokroaminoto Kalabahi for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations of students, parents, and math teachers. The research results show that the role of parents has a significant impact on students' motivation to learn mathematics. Parents who are actively involved in supporting their child's learning activities, providing encouragement, and showing interest in their child's math achievements can enhance the student's motivation. Conversely, the lack of parental involvement in supporting mathematics learning can negatively impact students' motivation to learn. It was found that open communication between parents, students, and math teachers plays an important role in increasing learning motivation. Parents who allocate time to discuss their child's academic progress, help with assignments, and provide positive reinforcement can create a positive learning environment at home. Additionally, it was found that parents' positive attitudes towards mathematics and their involvement in mathematical activities outside of school, such as visits to mathematics museums or math discussions at home, can stimulate students' interest and motivation in the subject.  Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that schools and parents collaborate to create more effective strategies to enhance the role of parents in supporting students' motivation to learn mathematics at the secondary school level.

Abstract

This research use classroom action research method. The formulations of the problem in this study are : How is the process of learning to read aloud by using folklore text in IV grade students of SD Inpres Alor Kecil II? and what is the result of the ability to read using folklore text in grade IV students of SD Inpres Alor Kecil II?. The purpose of this study is : To find out the process of learning to read aloud by using folklore text in grade IV students of SD Inpres Alor Kecil II and to find out the results of the ability of reading aloud by using folklore text in IV grade students of SD Inpres Alor Kecil II with the subject of research totaling 12 students consisting of 4 male students and 8 female students. In each cycle the data collection techniques that used in the study are data about the learning outcomes of the test reading students. The result of this study indicate that there is an increase in the ability to read aloud students. By using folklore text, it can increase the average value of reading result students in SD Inpres Alor Kecil II from cycle 1 to 72,08 while cycle 2 it has increased to 77,08. Basides that, the observation data from each cycle start from the teacher’s observation data to the observation data changes from each activity during the learning process in class. From the results of the analysis it can be concluded that through text folklore can improve the ability to read aloud students of IV grade in SD Inpres Alor Kecil II.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the teacher's efforts to increase interest in reading stories in class III students at Dulolong Barat State Elementary School. This research is a descriptive type of qualitative research. The subjects of this research were 1 class teacher and 15 class III students at Dulolong Barat State Elementary School. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques in this research use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity techniques and research stages. The results of this research show that teachers' efforts to increase interest in reading stories at West Dulolong State Elementary School, namely: (1) Encouraging children to tell stories about what they have heard or read, (2) Buying books that interest them in reading, (3) Exchanging books with friends, (4) Giving books as gifts, (5) Providing time to read during the learning process, teachers encourage students to increase their interest in reading. One way is by the teacher asking students to go to the library during break time to borrow books that the students like. Class III students' interest in reading stories was aimed at several students visiting the library to borrow books or read books during break times.

Abstract

In creating a disciplined character in students, the teacher's efforts alone are not enough, so there needs to be cooperation from other parties concerned such as parents and the surrounding environment. Collaboration between teachers and parents to foster student discipline at UPTD SD Negeri Alor Kecil can run well, if there is joint synergy between teachers and parents to improve student discipline, so that there are no longer differences in perception or differences of thought between both in educating children to be disciplined. The form of collaboration carried out by UPTD SD Negeri Alor Kecil is to foster student discipline by establishing an association of parents and teachers, socializing the rules that must be obeyed by all students, accepting criticism and suggestions from parents, using the facilities and infrastructure available at the school. and make visits to students' parents' homes if necessary. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study type of research. Determining the subjects of this research used a purposive sampling technique. The research subjects in this study were the homeroom teacher, class V A students and parents. The data collection techniques used were non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in research are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Data validity techniques by combining various data collection techniques and existing data sources. This research uses research techniques and sources. The results of the research show that the process of collaboration between teachers and parents has gone well, but there are still several shortcomings that must be addressed and completed so that the form of collaboration between teachers and schools runs much better, judging from Thomas Lickona's theory which says there are 20 ways To build collaboration between teachers and parents, UPTD SD Negeri Alor Kecil is still implementing 10 ways to build collaboration between teachers and parents and of the ten ways that have been implemented there are several ways that have not worked perfectly and still need improvement, especially the aspect of making family homework.
