Salingka, P-ISSN: 0216-1389, E-ISSN: 2615-3963 is a journal that publishes results of research focus on Identity in language and literature studies. This is including theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics, interdisciplinary linguistics, oral tradition, philology, semiotics, pure literature, applied literature, interdisciplinary literature, also literature and identity politics. Salingka is published twice a year, in August and December. Each article published in Salingka will undergo the assessment process by peer reviewers. Focuses on publishing the original research articles, review articles from contributors, and the current issues related to language and literature education, linguistics and literature specifically related to era 4.0. The main objective of Bahasa: Jurnal Keilmuan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is to provide a platform for the international scholars, academicians, and researchers to share contemporary thoughts in the fields. It also aims to promote interdisciplinary studies in language, language teaching, linguistics, and literature thus become the leading international journal in language, language teaching, linguistics, and literature in the world.

Abstract

AbstractModality is a tool to state an attitude from a speaker while she/he makes a sentence. By knowing the modality that is used, it will make the speaker easy to comprehend meaning or aim in speaking. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative one. This research found the some kinds of modality in Kaili Language. Modality in Kaili Language is divided into five: intentional, epistemic, deontic, dynamic, and aletic.Keywords: modality, intensional, epistemic, deontic, dynamic, aletic and KailiAbstrakModalitas menjadi alat yang menyatakan sikap pembicara ketika menyatakan sebuah kalimat. Dengan mengetahui modalitas yang digunakan, hal itu akan memudahkan kita memahami isi atau maksudpembicaraan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deksriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah ditemukan beberapa jenis modalitas dalam bahasa Kaili (BK). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa ketika diterapkan perlakuan berupa pengimplementasian model kooperatif Jigsaw. Subjek penelitian kuantitatif ini berupa hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MAN 1 Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian lanjutannya adalah quasi eksperimen. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes berupa soal pretest dan posttest untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dan instrumen angket untuk mendapatkan hasil respons dan minat siswa terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw. Analisis soal menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistik parametrik berupa sample t-test dengan mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, dan mendeskripsikan hasil belajar dan angket siswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan kelas yang tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran tersebut dengan nilai rata-rata 78,6 76,9 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,000; (2) respons dan minat siswa terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa karena diperoleh hasil sig di angka 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan model kooperatif Jigsaw pada materi cerita pendek di kelas XI dan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran bagi pengajar pada materi-materi lainnya.This study aims to describe student learning outcomes when the treatment is applied by implementing a Jigsaw cooperative model. The subject of this quantitative research is the learning outcomes of class XI MAN 1 Cirebon students. The method in this study is  quantitative  with the type of follow-up research quasi-experimental. Data was collected through tests in the form of pretest and posttest questions to find out student learning outcomes and a questionnaire instrument to get the results of students' responses and interest in the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. Analysis of the questions used validity and reliability tests while data analysis used descriptive analysis and parametric statistical analysis by identifying, analyzing, and describing student learning outcomes and questionnaires. The results of this study are: (1) Classes that use the Jigsaw cooperative learning model are more effective than classes that do not use this learning model with an average value of 78.6 76.9 with a significance level of 0.000. (2) Students' responses and interest in the Jigsaw cooperative learning model affect student learning outcomes because the sig results obtained at 0.000 are smaller than 0.05. The benefit of this research is to find out the effectiveness of the Jigsaw cooperative model in short story material in class XI and as an alternative learning media for teachers in other materials.

Abstract

The use of verbs meant cutting by peladang have been decreased as an impact of agriculture modernization system. This research aims at showing and conservate how the verbs meant cutting are used. The method used is decriptive qualitative with three strategic steps, those are data collecting, data analizing, and research result. The results show that the verbs meant cutting were found in term of cutting objek using tools, such menutoh, menetak, memancong, menjempong, mengerap, merandan, menyeset, menyiang, melelet, menyiser, menuntong, menumang, melayang, meruntoh, meriding, mengarit, menyesap, menunas, menyuguh, mengetam, mengocek, mengelanit, mengelayak, mencantiki, meruntun, memunggam, dan mengumbuti. Then, the verbs meant cutting are not using tool, such as mengenas, menyuer, merurut, menyentak, menyentut, menggetel, memuler, menggetas, memokel, and mengirek. Then, based on the object to be cut in the horizontal, verticle, and diagonal. In short, the verbs meant cutting can be used based on the position of the object and the tool used to cut.

Abstract

Appreciation of the literary treasures of the archipelago were removed from the oral literature, especially the play Balineseshadow puppets (LWKB) is an appreciation, preservation, andattempts to document the work of the puppeteer in Bali in his work as a puppet artist. Mastermind as a director and as an actor takoh the language game is able to package the show to be interesting and load with a moral message. As a literary work, LWKB the inner dynamics of the puppeteer hidden inside various problems, such as social criticism, the norms that must be adhered to in the community, and matters relating to ethics in the state and nation. The moral is that posed by the puppeteer, such as the loss of the concept of manyamabraya in society, nervous government in solving the various problems facing thenation, a bureaucratic authoritarian hegemony and strengthening civil society, and the culture of corruption, collusion, and  nepotism is a “treat” at any time to be heard, seen, andexperienced by the puppeteer. This phenomenon, recorded and conveyed through dialogues servant figures which is the symbol of civil society.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan campur kode, interferensi fonologis, dan integrasi dalam caption postingan instagram Ganjar Pranowo. Dipilihnya Instagram tersebut karena dalam caption banyak dijumpai peristiwa kontak bahasa. Jenis penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berwujud kata-kata dan variasi kalimat yang mengandung campur kode, interferensi fonologis, dan integrasi. Sumber data berasal dari caption postingan Instagram Ganjar Pranowo. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak serta catat. Teknik simak dipakai guna menyimak caption postingan Instagram Ganjar Pranowo. Adapun teknik catat dengan pencatatan terhadap kata/kalimat yang diduga data berisi campur kode, interferensi fonologis, dan integrasi. Setelah data dikumpulkan, kemudian data campur kode dianalisis dengan metode padan translasional. Teknik lanjutannya berwujud teknik Pilah Unsur Penentu. Gejala interferensi fonologis dan integrasi dianalisis menggunakan langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, serta verifikasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 33 data temuan. Campur kode ditemukan sebanyak 18 data, Interferensi fonologis ditemukan 10 data, dan integrasi ditemukan 5 data.

Abstract

AbstractIn its history, desire is created from the lack of subjects. Writing a literary work is an effort of an author to cover their lack of subjects. The novel entitled Persiden is an effort of Wisran Hadi (WH) to cover his lack in Minangkabau social and cultural life. Various roles of social status of Minangkabau people which emerged in Persiden show a sort of anxiety which then becomes the manifestation of WH’s desire. This research aims to identify WH’s desire and how the desire formed in Persiden. The research of this WH’s desire will use Lacanian Psychoanalysis (PL). Through this PL, the method of metaphor and metonymy will be used to find the markers of WH’s desire. This study finds that Minangkabau people in their social and cultural life are constantly faced into paradoxical condition while they position themselves as an uncle, a son-in-law, a mother, a nephew/niece, and a son/daughter. It causes WH ends his identity as paradoxical Minangkabau person who has strong desire to the markers: ‘responsible’, ‘rich’, hard-working’, ‘leader’, ‘talented’, ‘obey’, ‘dicipline’, etc.Keywords: desire, metaphor, Minangkabau, paradox, Wisran HadiAbstrakDalam sejarahnya, hasrat terbentuk dari rasa kekurangan subjek. Menulis karya sastra merupakan upaya pengarang untuk menutupi kekurangan tersebut. Novel Persiden merupakan upaya Wisran Hadi (WH) dalam menutupi kekurangan dirinya di dalam kehidupan sosialkultural Minangkabau. Berbagai peran status sosial orang Minang yang dihadirkan dalam Persiden menunjukan adanya kegelisahan yang kemudian menjadi manifestasi hasrat WH. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi hasrat WH dan bagaimana hasrat itu terbentuk dalam Persiden. Telisik hasrat iniakan menggunakan kajian Psikoanalisis Lacanian (PL). Melalui PL ini akan digunakan metode metafora dan metonimia dalam mengidentifikasi dan terbentuknya hasrat WH. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa orang Minang dalam sosialulturalnya selalu pada kondisi yang paradoks, baik sebagai mamak,semenda, ibu, kemenakan dan anak. Inilah yang membuat WH menyudahi identitasnya selaku orang Minang yang paradoks dengan berhasrat pada penanda-penanda: ‘bertanggung jawab’, ‘kaya’, ‘pekerja keras’, ‘pemimpin’, ‘berkemampuan’, ‘taat’, ‘disiplin’ dst.Kata kunci: hasrat, metafora, Minangkabau, paradoks, Wisran Hadi

Abstract

The current era, the advancement of technology, digital media, and its contents have become more relevant in teaching and learning activities. One that is close to EFL students and applicable to overcome their problems dealing with vocabulary development is memes. This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of using memes, the ways this activity helps the 26 twelfth graders learn vocabulary with the reasons behind it. This research employed mixed methods. Vocabulary pre and post-tests were exploited to find out the effectiveness of utilizing memes for the students’ learning. A questionnaire consisting of eleven statements and five open-ended questions was employed to detect the students’ thoughts about the aspects stated and further explanation on how memes influence their vocabulary learning. Using ttests and descriptive analyses, it was found that exploiting memes can effectively improve students’ EFL vocabulary learning, with the mentioned aspects and reasons revealed in their responses to the questionnaire.  AbstrakPada era sekarang, kemajuan teknologi, media digital, beserta konten-kontennya semakin relevan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Salah satu yang dekat dengan siswa pembelajar bahasa inggris dan dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam pengembangan kosa kata bahasa inggris mereka adalah meme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki efektivitas penggunaan meme, serta bagaimana kegiatan ini membantu 26 siswa kelas dua belas mempelajari kosakata bahasa inggris beserta alasan di baliknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan odel mix methode. Tes kosakata sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan pembelajaran dipakai untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan meme dalam pembelajaran siswa. Sebuah kuesioner yang terdiri dari sebelas pernyataan dan lima pertanyaan terbuka digunakan untuk mengetahui pemikiran siswa mengenai aspek-aspek yang disebutkan serta penjelasan lebih lanjut tentang bagaimana meme mempengaruhi pembelajaran kosakata mereka. Menggunakan analisis uji-t juga analisis deskriptif, ditemukan bahwa eksploitasi meme dapat secara efektif meningkatkan pembelajaran kosakata bahasa inggris siswa, disertai dengan aspek beserta alasannya terungkap dalam tanggapan mereka terhadap kuesioner

Abstract

Indonesian people in the correct language practice often find language barriers, one of them is the application of Indonesian language rules. In fact, in appreciating the Indonesian language, the general public is not aware of a standard test that measures language skills, namely UKBI. The purpose of writing this article is to convey that the UKBI simulation test can be used in an effort to measure ability and improve the language skills of the general public. The method used in this study is direct action by providing training. Value retrieval is carried out in two cycles, so that the differences can be seen before training. The author found a significant increase in the Semanan community's language skills. Cycle I shows the existence of a community that has a predicate: limited to 7%, marginal 7%, average 23%, middle 36%, and superior 27%. Conversely, cycle II shows an increase in predicate, namely: 17%, middle 47%, superior 33%, and very superior 3%. It can be seen that the results of the second cycle have no more people with a limited predicate.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian diambil dari iklan produk kecantikan dengan merek Citra dan Shinzu'i. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan dan membaca pergerakan wacana iklan produk Citra dan Shinzu'i yang muncul di televisi Indonesia. Analisis perbandingan wacana dilakukan atas teori perbandingan wacana (BREAK). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi dan analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam konfigurasinya kedua wacana memiliki esensi yang sama (kovergen). Kedua wacana memiliki esensi sebagai media promosi produk kecantikan. Konfigurasi dalam butir spirit menunjukkan bahwa kedua wacana memiliki motif yang berbeda (divergen) dalam mempromosikan produknya. Wacana primer muncul dengan sebuah identitas produk yang menekankan pada keunggulan dan kecantikan alami wanita Indonesia. Wacana sekunder hadir dengan keunggulan dan kecantikan alami wanita Jepang. Esensi dan spirit wacana dalam butir konfigurasi menunjukkan bahwa tipe pergerakan wacananya adalah konvergen-divergen (KODI).
