Abstract

This study investigates the public perception of local dialects and their implications for cultural identity. Local dialects serve as vital markers of regional identity and heritage, yet they often face stigma and marginalization in favor of standardized languages. Through a mixed-methods approach, including surveys and in-depth interviews, the research examines how individuals perceive various local dialects in terms of prestige, authenticity, and social value. The findings reveal a nuanced landscape of attitudes, where some respondents express pride in their local dialects as symbols of cultural heritage, while others associate them with negative stereotypes, which impacts their willingness to use these dialects in public settings. The study highlights the complex relationship between language, identity, and social dynamics, suggesting that fostering positive perceptions of local dialects can enhance cultural pride and community cohesion. Additionally, the research discusses the role of education and media in shaping perceptions of local dialects and emphasizes the need for initiatives that promote linguistic diversity. Ultimately, this research underscores the importance of recognizing and valuing linguistic diversity as a crucial component of cultural identity in an increasingly globalized world, advocating for the preservation and celebration of local dialects to strengthen community ties and cultural heritage.

Abstract

The digital era has fundamentally transformed the educational paradigm. This research examines the transformation of teachers' roles in addressing digital technology developments, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and social media. The purpose of this study is to analyze the importance of technology literacy and digital ethics for teachers in creating adaptive and relevant learning environments. A literature review methodology is employed to identify key components required for teachers to transform into adaptive educators. The findings indicate that teachers need to develop five core competencies: understanding digital tools, critical information evaluation, interactive learning design, facilitating independent learners, and implementing technology ethics. This research contributes to developing a framework for adaptive teachers capable of utilizing technology as an opportunity rather than a threat in the educational process.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation and effectiveness of artificial intelligence-driven adaptive learning platforms in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms across urban and rural Indonesian educational settings. Through a mixed-methods approach involving 247 students and 12 teachers from eight institutions, this research comparatively analyzes three prominent AI language learning platforms: LinguaLearn AI, AdaptEd English, and AI Tutor Pro. The findings reveal significant differences in learning outcomes, with AI-enhanced platforms demonstrating a 27% improvement in language proficiency compared to traditional methods. However, implementation challenges including digital literacy barriers, internet connectivity issues, and cultural adaptation requirements were identified, particularly in rural contexts. The study proposes a contextually responsive framework for integrating AI language learning technologies in developing EFL environments, contributing to the growing discourse on educational technology in linguistically diverse settings. This research highlights the potential of AI to personalize language acquisition while emphasizing the necessity of culturally and infrastructurally appropriate implementation strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the capacity of regional bureaucracies to implement inclusive economic development policies within the decentralised governance framework. As developing nations increasingly prioritize inclusive growth, the effectiveness of local government institutions becomes crucial for policy success. This research evaluates the bureaucratic capacity of regional governments through multiple dimensions including human resources, institutional frameworks, financial capabilities, and coordination mechanisms. Using a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative assessments and qualitative case studies from selected regional governments, this study identifies key factors that enhance or constrain bureaucratic capacity in promoting inclusive economic development. The findings reveal significant variations in capacity across regions, with institutional quality, leadership commitment, and inter-agency coordination emerging as critical determinants of implementation effectiveness. The study provides recommendations for strengthening regional bureaucratic capacity to better serve inclusive development objectives.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has fundamentally transformed social structures, creating new forms of inequality and social stratification. The digital divide has emerged as a critical sociological phenomenon that reflects and reinforces existing social hierarchies while creating new patterns of inclusion and exclusion. This study examines the relationship between digital transformation and social stratification, analyzing how digital access, literacy, and participation contribute to contemporary forms of social inequality. The research investigates the mechanisms through which digital divides reproduce and transform traditional class structures. This sociological inquiry employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative survey data from 500 households across different socioeconomic strata with qualitative ethnographic observations and in-depth interviews with 40 participants. The study utilizes Pierre Bourdieu's theory of capital and Anthony Giddens' structuration theory as analytical frameworks. The findings reveal three distinct digital classes: the "digitally privileged" (25%), "digitally struggling" (45%), and "digitally excluded" (30%). Digital capital significantly correlates with traditional forms of capital (economic, cultural, and social), creating compound advantages for privileged groups. The study demonstrates that digital transformation both reinforces existing inequalities and creates new forms of social differentiation. Digital transformation has become a new dimension of social stratification that intersects with traditional inequality patterns. The digital divide represents not merely a technological gap but a fundamental social divide that requires comprehensive sociological understanding and policy intervention to ensure equitable social development.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between religiosity and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) within contemporary organizations by adopting a positive psychology perspective. OCB is defined as discretionary behaviors by employees that go beyond their formal job duties and contribute positively to the overall functioning and success of the organization. Examples include helping colleagues, being punctual, and demonstrating initiative, which foster a cooperative and productive work environment. Religiosity, on the other hand, is understood as a belief system that shapes an individual’s values, attitudes, and behaviors, both intrinsically—stemming from internal spiritual commitment—and extrinsically—motivated by external social or cultural influences. Through a systematic review of ten national and international academic journals, this study identifies several common dimensions of OCB, such as altruism (helping others selflessly), civic virtue (active and responsible participation in organizational affairs), and conscientiousness (going beyond minimal job requirements). The findings reveal a consistent positive correlation between religiosity and OCB, especially in sectors like education, Islamic banking, and healthcare, where religious principles strongly influence organizational culture. The integration of religious values into organizational practices encourages employees to exhibit behaviors that promote harmony, ethical conduct, and a sense of community within the workplace. This is particularly evident in employees who possess high levels of intrinsic religiosity, as their internalized beliefs motivate them to engage in prosocial actions that benefit the organization. The study recommends that human resource management strategies incorporate religious or spiritual values to cultivate a positive organizational culture. Such integration can be achieved through training programs, leadership development, and reward systems that emphasize ethical behavior and social responsibility, ultimately leading to improved employee satisfaction, loyalty, and overall organizational performance.
