Abstract

In an era that increasingly prioritizes transparency and social accountability, disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become an integral part of corporate strategy, including in Islamic banking. CSR is not only related to economic aspects, but must also reflect social, ethical, and sustainability values that are in line with Islamic sharia principles. In Indonesia, Islamic banking is expected to focus not only on profitability but also on the social impact generated from their business activities, which is reflected in CSR disclosure. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) as measured by the ISR index in Islamic banks in Indonesia using the content analysis method. The population and sample used include the financial statements of Bank Mega Syariah, Bank Syariah Indonesia, and Bank Muamalat Indonesia in 2022-2023. The results of the study show that not all Islamic banks including BMS, BSI and BMI disclose ISR formatively. Only Bank Syariah and Bank Muamalat Indonesia disclose ISR informatively. Bank Mega Syariah does not disclose ISR formatively.

Abstract

Work-life balance is an individual's ability to manage time, energy, and attention between work and personal life proportionally. This study aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance on psychological well-being in Gen Z employees at startup companies in Padang City, as well as to examine the moderating role of satisfaction with coworkers in the relationship. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal design. The sample consisted of 130 respondents selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through a Google Forms-based questionnaire and analyzed using the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) technique with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that work-life balance had a positive and significant effect on psychological well-being. This means that the better the balance of life felt by employees, the higher their level of psychological well-being. In addition, satisfaction with coworkers has been shown to positively moderate the relationship. Employees who have good relationships with coworkers feel greater benefits of work-life balance on their psychological well-being. This study is supported by the Affective Events Theory (AET), which explains that events in the work environment, such as social interactions and emotional experiences, can shape psychological responses and affect individual well-being. These findings contribute to human resource management in creating work strategies that support life balance and strengthen relationships between employees, especially in startup work environments.

Abstract

The growth of the Greater Bandar Lampung Metropolitan area shows indications of the development of a polycentric spatial structure, along with the emergence of activity centers outside the core city. This study aims to identify the form of urban polycentric structures in the area as a basis for developing new growth centers. The method used is spatial analysis with the Kernel Density Estimation (KDE) approach using Landsat 8 satellite imagery data, distribution of public facilities, and population density in 2018 and 2023. The results of the analysis show the formation of several new sub-activity centers in the Metro, Central Lampung, and Pesawaran areas which have quite high activity intensity. The distribution pattern of facilities and built-up land indicates a transition from a monocentric structure to a polycentric one. These findings can be the basis for formulating spatial planning policies that support connectivity between regions and equitable development in the metropolitan area.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the mechanism of implementing payroll deductions for civil servants (ASN) in South Lampung in relation to zakat payment compliance in South Lampung Regency, as well as to determine whether the payroll deduction mechanism is in accordance with Islamic principles. This research employs a qualitative approach. The results of the study conclude that the implementation of payroll deductions, based on the circular letter from the Regent, has not had an impact on the zakat payment compliance of South Lampung ASN. Moreover, the payroll deduction mechanism does not yet align with the proper conditions for zakat payment. The payroll deduction for South Lampung ASN cannot be considered as genuine zakat, as not all civil servants in South Lampung receive a salary or allowance amounting to seven million rupiah, which is the threshold for professional zakat (zakat on income).

Abstract

Finding the source of competitive advantage has become an essential area in the research of strategic management. One of the methods commonly used to assess internal strengths is the VRIO framework. However, the framework does not explain how well resources or capabilities are managed within the company. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to operationalise the VRIO framework by creating assessment scales to evaluate the level of organisational support for strategic resources. A case study was conducted at Kopi Anjis, a Bandung-based coffee business, to identify branding-related resources and assess their value, rarity, imitability, and organisational support. The study uses a Likert-based evaluation adapted from previous research to determine which capabilities offer sustained competitive advantage. Results indicate that while Kopi Anjis possesses several valuable and rare resources, weak organisational management hinders its strategic potential.
