Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Civic and Pancasila Education (PPKn) as an instrument for strengthening the character of responsibility and discipline among first-semester students of the Islamic Family Law Study Program at Universitas Islam Tribakti Lirboyo Kediri. The background of this study stems from the importance of character education in higher education, particularly related to discipline and responsibility as fundamental values for shaping good citizens. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that PPKn plays a significant role in character development through learning plans that include character indicators, active and collaborative learning practices, lecturer role modeling, and evaluation systems that emphasize moral and ethical aspects of students. Supporting factors in character strengthening include the pesantren-based campus culture, lecturer exemplary behavior, and Islamic value–based learning approaches, while inhibiting factors include students’ low personal awareness and technological distractions. Overall, PPKn functions as an effective medium for fostering student discipline, responsibility, and awareness of national identity and ethical conduct.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Aswaja (Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah) traditions and values within the scientific discussion culture of students at Universitas Islam Tribakti Lirboyo. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach and a case study design, data were collected through moderate participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that Aswaja traditions function not only as theological identity but also as an epistemological and methodological framework in students’ academic discourse. The classical dialectical method comprising qirā’ah, taḥlīl, taqrīr, naqḍ, tarjīḥ, and tasnīd is internalized as the primary analytical model in problem-solving. Aswaja values such as tawassuth (moderation), tawazun (balance), tasamuh (tolerance), and i‘tidal (justice) are clearly reflected in students’ scholarly ethics, argumentation patterns, and their responses to differing opinions. A pesantren educational background significantly enhances students’ ability to argue systematically, critically, and based on authoritative references. The study concludes that Aswaja traditions play a crucial role in shaping students’ intellectual character, maintaining academic moderation, and strengthening the quality of scholarly discussions, although the research remains limited by its specific institutional focus and the dominance of pesantren-based respondents.

Abstract

This study examines narcotics circulation within correctional facilities, which persists due to weak supervision, overcrowding, staff involvement, and high inmate demand. Using a normative juridical approach supported by empirical data, the study analyzes the mechanisms of narcotics distribution and evaluates government efforts involving the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the National Narcotics Board, and the National Police. The findings indicate that current measures remain ineffective due to structural constraints such as punitive drug policies, limited security infrastructure, and insufficient isolation of high-risk inmates. The study concludes that policy reform, independent oversight, and stronger institutional coordination are essential to curb narcotics circulation in prisons.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a condition of high blood pressure that occurs in pregnant women after 20 weeks of gestation, accompanied by the presence of protein in the urine, which can cause the risk of serious complications and even death for the mother and baby. Prevention of preeclampsia is very important because this condition is one of the main causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia. In 2020, there were 4,679 cases of maternal death recorded, with preeclampsia as one of the main causes of death due to hypertension in pregnancy. This study aims to determine how education about the dangers of preeclampsia affects preventive behavior in pregnant women, so that mothers are more aware and take preventive measures. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design on pregnant women who were given education using Health Education, booklets, and board game media. Preventive behavior data were measured before and after education with a questionnaire, then analyzed using statistical tests to see significant changes. The discussion includes the definition of preeclampsia, the importance of education, and how education can change the preventive behavior of pregnant women to reduce the risk of complications and maternal death. With good education, it is hoped that knowledge and preventive measures for preeclampsia in pregnant women can increase so that the safety of mothers and babies can be better protected.

Abstract

The advancement of modern science has profoundly influenced human civilization in various aspects, including technology, culture, and social structure. However, this progress also raises philosophical and ethical questions regarding the role of religion in scientific inquiry. In the Islamic context, the Qur’an serves not only as a source of moral and spiritual guidance but also as a text that strongly encourages intellectual engagement. Through its verses, the Qur’an invites humanity to employ reason in comprehending the signs of God’s greatness manifested in the universe (ayat kauniyyah). This study aims to explore the relevance of the Qur’an to modern science by analyzing the interrelationship between divine revelation and scientific methodology. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, drawing upon classical and modern Qur’anic exegesis, Islamic philosophy of science, and contemporary academic works. The analysis seeks to reveal how the Qur’an affirms observation, reflection, and reasoning as essential means to understand both divine truth and empirical reality. The findings demonstrate that the Qur’an remains profoundly relevant to modern scientific thought, as both are rooted in the pursuit of truth. Although the Qur’an is not a scientific textbook, its contents provide moral inspiration and epistemological foundations for scientific inquiry. Ethical values such as honesty, accountability, and sincerity constitute essential principles of scientific activity in Islam. Therefore, the integration of Qur’anic principles with modern science is necessary to ensure that scientific progress continues to serve humanity while remaining aligned with spiritual and ethical values.

Abstract

Premarital readiness, particularly in the domain of reproductive health, serves as a fundamental basis for building a healthy and harmonious family. However, many prospective brides and grooms still possess limited knowledge regarding comprehensive premarital preparation, especially in terms of physical, psychological, social, and economic aspects. Insufficient understanding of reproductive health may lead to various maternal health problems before, during, and after pregnancy. This study aimed to examine the effect of reproductive health education on the premarital readiness of prospective brides and grooms. A quantitative research method was employed using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. The findings revealed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge after receiving reproductive health education compared to before the intervention. It can be concluded that reproductive health education effectively enhances the knowledge and readiness of prospective brides and grooms in preparing for a healthy, sustainable, and high-quality marriage in the future.

Abstract

The development of Society 5.0 requires organizations to integrate digital technologies into their performance evaluation systems as part of human resource development strategies. This study aims to examine the role of digital-based performance evaluation in supporting HR development in the era of Society 5.0 through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were obtained from various international and national publications published between 2020 and 2025. The findings show that the implementation of digital performance evaluation enhances assessment objectivity, accelerates decision-making, and strengthens human resource competency development planning. However, its implementation still faces challenges, including data integration, digital literacy, and ethical considerations. These findings emphasize that digital evaluation systems can serve as a strategic foundation for adaptive and sustainable HR development in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This article discusses the purpose of Allah's creation of bees and the health benefits of honey, based on the Qur'anic verses in Surah An-Nahl (16:68–69). The study uses a qualitative library research method, analyzing Qur'anic texts, Hadith, and scientific literature. The findings show that bees were created as a sign of Allah's greatness and to provide great benefits to humans—through honey as syifā'un lin-nās (a healing for mankind) and through their role in maintaining ecological balance. Scientifically, honey contains active compounds that act as antibacterial, antioxidant, and natural healing agents. In conclusion, the creation of bees reflects spiritual, ecological, and health wisdom, demonstrating the perfection of Allah's creation.

Abstract

This study examines the role of music in the life of the Muslim community from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and maqāṣīd al-sharī‘ah. A qualitative literature study is employed, with content analysis applied to classical and contemporary sources addressing the status of music in Islam. The main findings reveal a plurality of scholarly opinions: some view music as generally prohibited, while others permit it within specific contexts (such as social rituals, permissible entertainment, or for dawah) provided that it serves public interest, avoids fitnah, and does not impede obligatory acts of worship. The use of music in religious practice, education, and emotional expression can be seen as a vehicle for dawah, a legitimate medium for halal entertainment, and a means of emotional regulation when aligned with Shariah objectives and Islamic values. Policy implications include the formulation of guidelines that emphasize communal welfare, ethical boundaries, and contextual sensitivity to contemporary cultural dynamics while preserving core principles of faith, worship, and morality. The study recommends multidisciplinary engagement among scholars, Islamic philosophers, and practitioners in Islamic education to develop a contextualized and culturally sensitive framework for the permissibility and application of music in Islam.

Abstract

The public accounting profession plays a strategic role in maintaining transparency, accountability, and the reliability of financial information used as a basis for business and public decision-making. To maintain public trust, public accountants are required to adhere to the codes of ethics and professional conduct established by professional organizations such as the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) and the Indonesian Institute of Public Accountants (IAPI). However, the implementation of these codes of ethics still faces challenges, as evidenced by numerous cases of accounting ethics violations in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the application of the codes of ethics and professional conduct of public accountants. This study employed a library research method, examining theories and various scientific reference sources relevant to the research topic. The approach used was descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were conducted through reviewing written sources such as books, journals, articles, and previous research reports. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis to obtain valid conclusions by selecting, grouping, and comparing information according to the research focus. The research findings indicate that the application of the public accountant code of ethics, which encompasses the principles of integrity, objectivity, professional competence and due care, confidentiality, and professional conduct, plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality of service and the credibility of the accounting profession. Therefore, it is concluded that the application of the public accountant code of ethics can maintain the dignity of the profession, protect public interests, and increase trust in the financial reports and information they produce.
