Abstract

This study examines the leadership values of the Prophet Muhammad as a religious leader as well as the state in the perspective of Tafsir al-Munir by Wahbah al-Zuhaili. The background of this research is the phenomenon of contemporary leadership crises characterized by corrupt practices, abuse of power, and weak moral integrity of leaders, so that there is a gap between the ideal concept of leadership and the existing reality. This research is a library research with a qualitative approach. Primary data were obtained from verses of the Qur'an that narrated the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad, namely Surah Ali 'Imran verses 121–129 and 159–164, al-Ahzab verses 9–11 and 26–27, al-Fath verses 4–7, and al-Hasyr verses 1–5 which were analyzed based on the interpretation of Wahbah al-Zuhaili in al-Tafsir al-Munir. Data analysis uses a narrative analysis method. The results of the study found five main leadership values: (1) the ability to maintain religion while managing world affairs in an integrated manner; (2) the enforcement of justice in each policy; (3) divine legitimacy as the foundation of state security; (4) wise decision-making in confusing situations with long-term orientation; (5) spirituality as a support for power. This study concludes that the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad offers an ideal leadership model that integrates spiritual and socio-political dimensions, which is relevant to addressing contemporary leadership crises.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze local wisdom as a pedagogical foundation in elementary school teacher education in North Maluku and its implications for the competencies and professional identity of prospective teachers. The research is motivated by the dominance of formal pedagogy that tends to neglect local socio-cultural contexts, resulting in learning processes that are less contextual and less relevant to the realities of students’ lives. In fact, the people of North Maluku possess a rich body of local cultural values that have the potential to serve as epistemological sources in education and learning. This study employed a qualitative approach with an ethnopedagogical design. The research was conducted in teacher education institutions (LPTK) and elementary schools in North Maluku. The research subjects included PGSD lecturers, PGSD students, elementary school teachers, and community leaders selected purposively. Data collection techniques consisted of in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis used thematic analysis combined with a grounded theory approach through the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings reveal that local wisdom in North Maluku embodies values of collectivity, morality, social solidarity, and contextual learning that are strongly relevant to modern pedagogical practices. The transformation of local wisdom into a pedagogical foundation occurs through processes of cultural value identification, pedagogical reinterpretation, and integration into learning design. Such integration positively contributes to strengthening pedagogical competence, reflective abilities, cultural sensitivity, and the formation of the professional identity of prospective teachers as cultural agents. However, the implementation of local wisdom-based pedagogy still faces challenges, including curriculum limitations and the limited academic capacity of lecturers to systematically integrate local cultural values. This study confirms that local wisdom can serve as an epistemological foundation for teacher education that is contextual, inclusive, and relevant to the needs of local communities.

Tourism development increasingly faces various challenges, including environmental changes, economic uncertainty, natural disasters, and socio-cultural transformations that affect destination sustainability. Community-based tourism has emerged as an important approach for strengthening destination resilience through active local participation and utilization of local resources. This study aims to analyze community-based tourism resilience in Peringgasela Village, East Lombok Regency, using the perspective of Social–Ecological Resilience Theory. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving village government representatives, tourism awareness groups, weaving communities, local business actors, and local residents. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that tourism resilience in Peringgasela Village is built through four interconnected dimensions: social resilience, economic resilience, cultural resilience, and institutional resilience. Strong social capital, community participation, local economic diversification, preservation of traditional weaving culture, and stakeholder collaboration contribute significantly to strengthening the destination's adaptive capacity. The study concludes that strengthening community participation and local resources can create a resilient and sustainable tourism system at the village level.
