Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of human resources (HR) in improving the efficiency of loading and unloading activities at PT Pulau Seroja Jakarta port. The study focuses on employee training, performance management, and the application of technology to support port operations. Data were collected through interviews with employees and management, direct field observations, and analysis of company operational documents. The results indicate that effective HR management, particularly in employee training and development, along with the adoption of modern technology, significantly enhances productivity and operational efficiency. Strategic recommendations are provided to strengthen performance management systems and optimize employee training processes to address the increasing competitiveness in the port industry. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam meningkatkan efisiensi kegiatan bongkar muat di pelabuhan PT Pulau Seroja Jakarta. Fokus utama penelitian mencakup aspek pelatihan karyawan, manajemen kinerja, dan penerapan teknologi dalam mendukung operasional bongkar muat. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara dengan karyawan dan manajemen, observasi langsung di lapangan, serta analisis dokumen operasional perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan SDM yang efektif, khususnya dalam pelatihan dan pengembangan karyawan, serta penerapan teknologi modern, secara signifikan meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi operasional. Rekomendasi strategis diberikan untuk memperkuat sistem manajemen kinerja dan optimalisasi proses pelatihan karyawan guna menghadapi tantangan industri kepelabuhanan yang semakin kompetitif.

Abstract

Environmental awareness is a crucial aspect of sustainable development, particularly among the younger generation. This study aims to enhance environmental awareness among students of SMPN 1 City Banjarmasin through a structured educational program and practical training on non-organic waste recycling. The program integrates theoretical learning with hands-on activities, including waste segregation, reuse, and creative recycling practices. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding of waste management and their active participation in maintaining a cleaner environment. The study concludes that education and practical application effectively foster environmental responsibility among students, contributing to long-term environmental sustainability. Kepedulian terhadap lingkungan merupakan aspek penting dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan, terutama bagi generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan siswa SMPN 1 Kota Banjarmasin melalui program edukasi terstruktur dan pelatihan praktis tentang daur ulang sampah anorganik. Program ini mengintegrasikan pembelajaran teoretis dengan kegiatan praktik, seperti pemisahan sampah, penggunaan kembali, dan kreasi daur ulang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa tentang pengelolaan sampah dan partisipasi aktif mereka dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan dan penerapan praktis secara efektif menumbuhkan tanggung jawab lingkungan pada siswa, yang berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan lingkungan jangka panjang.

Abstract

He scholars differ in determining the conditions for interpreting the Koran. One of the 15 conditions put forward by al-Suyuthi in his book al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Qur'an is the Knowledge of Mauhibah. Al-Suyuthi said that Mauhibah knowledge is knowledge that is given directly by Allah to anyone who practices his knowledge. Later generations of scholars often quote and refer to al-Suyuthi, including Ahmad al-Syirbashi, Basyuni Faudah, Muhammad Husain al-Dzahabi. Meanwhile, mutaqaddimin scholars such as al-Ghazali, al-Maturidi, etc. expressed various opinions. Al-Maturidi (born around 238 H/852 M- d.333H/944 M) equated the science of mauhibah with the science of laduni with the same definition. Al-Ghazali put forward three views, including that knowledge is obtained because of luck from Allah. If we follow the opinion of al-Ghazali (d. 505 H/1111 AD) and al-Maturidi, the science of mauhibah is the science of laduni; There are similarities with the science of kasbiyah, it is not merely an abundance from God but there is effort from humans. Scholars differ in their opinions about how to obtain mauhibah knowledge. There are those who get it directly from Allah and there are also those who think indirectly, namely using the riyadhah and muraqabah methods Para ulama berbeda dalam menetapkan Syarat-syarat bagi penafsir Alquran. Satu dari 15 syarat yang dikemukakan oleh al-Suyuthi dalam kitabnya al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Qur’an adalah Ilmu Mauhibah. Al-Suyuthi mengatakan ilmu Mauhibah tersebut adalah ilmu yang dianugerahkan langsung oleh Allah kepada siapa saja yang mengamalkan ilmunya. Ulama generasi belakangan banyak mengutip dan merujuk kepada al-Suyuthi diantaranya Ahmad al-Syirbashi, Basyuni Faudah, Muhammad Husain al-Dzahabi. Sedangkan ulama mutaqaddimin semisal al-Ghazali, al-Maturidi, dll mengemukakan pendapat yang beragam. Al-Maturidi (lahir sekitar 238 H/852M) menyamakan ilmu mauhibah dengan ilmu laduni dengan definisi yang sama. Al-Ghazali mengemukakan tiga pandangan di antaranya ilmu diperoleh karena mendapat keberuntungan dari Allah. Bila mengikuti pendapat al-Ghazali (w. 505 H/1111 M) dan al-Maturidi (w.333H/944 M) ilmu mauhibah adalah ilmu laduni; ada kemiripan dengan ilmu kasbiyah tidak semata-mata limpahan dari Tuhan tapi ada usaha dari manusia. Ulama berbeda pendapat tentang cara memperoleh ilmu mauhibah. Ada yang memperolehnya langsung dari Allah dan ada juga yang berpendapat tidak langsung, yakni memakai metode riyadhah dan muraqabah.

Abstract

This study analyzes the differences in unemployment rates in North Sumatra Province in 2019 and 2022 that can be attributed to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The data used were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sumatra Province and cover the unemployment rates in 33 districts/cities. This study uses non-parametric statistical methods, namely the Sign Test and Wilcoxon Test, to examine whether there is a significant difference in the unemployment rate between the two years. The analysis results show that although there is a significant correlation between the unemployment rates in 2019 and 2022, the Sign Test did not find a significant difference between the two years. Thus, this research provides an overview of the impact of the pandemic on the unemployment rate in North Sumatra Province, which can be used as a consideration in formulating future employment policies.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of lecturers' teaching methods in the Mathematics Department, FMIPA, Medan State University (Unimed) using a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) approach. This method allows controlled testing of variability between groups of students, with a sample of 60 students selected at simple random. Data was collected through a questionnaire that measured student perceptions of teaching methods, followed by analysis using ANOVA. The research results show that the teaching methods applied have a significant influence on student learning outcomes, with differences between groups detected through statistical tests. This research provides recommendations for adopting more effective teaching methods in improving the quality of education in the academic environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution of the population in North Sumatra using the Independent K-Sample Median Test on the 2023 data. The statistical test results show that there is no significant difference in the population numbers across the districts/cities in North Sumatra, with a Chi-Square value of 33 and a P-Value of 0.418, which is greater than 0.05. The Post Hoc analysis revealed that all groups have the same value, indicating a relatively even distribution of the population. Additionally, the overall median population in North Sumatra is 312,540, with minimal variation around this value. The study concludes that the population distribution in North Sumatra does not show significant differences among the tested groups.

Abstract

Social media has become an integral part of students' lives, serving as a tool for communication, a source of information, and a means of entertainment. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of social media usage and students' productivity in completing academic tasks. The research employs a descriptive correlational quantitative approach, with data collected through online questionnaires using ordinal scales. The respondents were active students from various universities. The analysis was conducted using Spearman's Rank correlation test and the t-test for significance. The results show a moderate positive relationship between social media usage and academic productivity, with a Spearman's Rank correlation coefficient (rₛ) of 0.483. The significance test indicates a t-value of 3.819, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.677 at the 5% significance level. This demonstrates that the relationship found is statistically significant. The study concludes that prudent use of social media can contribute to enhancing students' productivity in completing academic tasks, although the relationship is not particularly strong. The implications of this study highlight the importance of time management and social media activity regulation to optimally support academic productivity.

Abstract

The tourism sector plays a significant role in the economic growth of every region, including Tapanuli Tengah Regency, which is renowned for its natural beauty and cultural richness. Using the Cox-Stuart Test, this study attempts to identify visitor trends to Tapanuli Tengah throughout the year 2023. The non-parametric analysis process is used to collect data on the number of tourist visits from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This method determines whether the number of visits is increasing, decreasing, or stable by comparing the initial and most recent observations from the monthly time series data. The analysis results show that there is not enough evidence to say that the tourist trend in Tapanuli Tengah will decrease in 2023. This research provides important guidance for policymakers in creating tourism management and promotion strategies in Tapanuli Tengah Regency.

Abstract

The commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday is not only a spiritual momentum but also serves as a learning medium to shape student character, especially in time management and productivity. This community service program aims to integrate the Islamic values taught by the Prophet into students' lives through creative activities based on the Prophet's birthday. The implementation method uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which involves students actively in problem identification, activity implementation, reflection, and evaluation. This activity was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Sangatta Selatan, and it included various activities, such as inspirational lectures, creative competitions, and joint reflections. Results showed that students experienced increased understanding and motivation in using time productively. The post-activity survey noted changes in students' positive attitudes towards time management, contributing to their Islamic character building. This research contributes to the development of Islamic values-based character education approaches, particularly in addressing the challenges of young people in the digital era who often experience problems in time management.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze or see whether there is a relationship between online learning strategies and the learning motivation of Arabic Language Education Students at UIN Sultan Hasanuddin Banten. This research represents survey research using a quantitative approach. This research uses primary sources using data collection techniques, namely questionnaires. The questionnaire items were first tested for validity and reliability. The test results for the validity of the question items show a number that is smaller than 0.05 and this means that each question item is valid to be implemented. Then, the question items were also tested for reliability which produced a value of 0.616 lebih tinggi dari 0.6, meaning the question items were reliable and could be implemented repeatedly. The results of this research show a significance value of 0.004 lebih rendah dari 0.05, meaning that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. This statement refers to the existence of a relationship between online learning strategies and student learning motivation. Then, the Pearson correlation results showed a figure of 0.513 which was categorized as a normal relationship between the two variables. The results of the Pearson correlation test also show a positive value, meaning that the greater the focus on online learning, the more influence it will have on student learning motivation.
