Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how halal food micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Madura strive to optimize the production and quality of their Sharia-compliant products. This study is based on the high public demand for high-quality, safe-to-consume halal food products that meet halal standards. The research method used was literature review; references were collected, researched, and analyzed from various relevant articles, journals, and books discussing Sharia principles, quality control, and the halal food production process. The study results indicate that optimizing production aspects in halal food MSMEs can be achieved through the implementation of Sharia-compliant standard operating procedures (SOPs), the selection of halal raw materials, and improving the cleanliness and efficiency of the production process. Meanwhile, product quality improvements can be achieved through quality standardization, attractive packaging, and halal certification. With this optimization, halal food small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Madura are expected to be able to compete in a wider market and increase customer trust in high-quality, Islamically compliant halal products.

Abstract

Sharia fintech has shown rapid development in line with the increasing need for financial services that are in accordance with Islamic principles. However, related literature is still scattered and has not systematically discussed aspects of innovation, regulation, and technology. This study aims to map the trend of sharia fintech research bibliometrically to identify dominant themes, collaboration patterns, and the influence of publications in this field. Data were collected from Scopus in the period 2015–2025 using related keywords and analyzed using the VOSviewer tool. The results show three main clusters: technological innovation (such as AI and blockchain), sharia financial regulation (including the role of OJK and DSN-MUI), and digital platform development. This study contributes to understanding the direction of sharia fintech development and recommends cross-aspect integration to strengthen an inclusive and sustainable sharia financial ecosystem.

Abstract

Halal certification standardization is a crucial aspect of an increasingly competitive and integrated global trading system, as Muslim consumers' awareness of the importance of halal products grows. The global halal industry market is estimated to reach US$1.3 trillion by 2025, demonstrating significant economic potential for Muslim-majority countries. However, regulations, interpretations of Islamic law, and oversight mechanisms across countries pose serious challenges to harmonizing internationally recognized halal standards. Differences in sharia interpretations, complex bureaucracies, and political-economic interests are key obstacles to this process. International institutions such as the OIC-SMIIC and the Halal Accreditation Forum (HAF) play a crucial role in developing global standards, while countries like Indonesia, through the Halal Product Certification Agency (BPJPH), are striving to strengthen credible and efficient national certification systems. This study uses a qualitative approach with a desk review to analyze the dynamics and challenges of global halal certification. In conclusion, the harmonization of global halal standards should focus on a trust-based mutual recognition system that respects diverse sharia interpretations, as well as strengthening international collaboration and digitizing the certification process to support the growth of an inclusive, sustainable, and highly competitive halal industry

Abstract

The halal industry in Indonesia plays a strategis role in supporting national economic growth, particulary in the food and beverage sector. Since the enactment of the Halal Product Assurance Law (UU JPH) in 2014, strengthening the halal system has been increasingly coordinated through the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH). The purpose of this study is to analyze the halal industry’s contribution to national economic growth and identify challenges and strategies for its development in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method based on a literature review to examine the role of the halal industry in the national economy. The results indicate that the value of national halal product consumption is projected to reach US$282 billion by 2025, a 53% increase compared to 2020. The halal food and beverage sector makes the largest contribution to GDP through increased production, investment, and exports. Halal certification increases consumer trust and product competitiveness, although challenges remain in the certification process, infrastructure, and halal literacy. Strengthening the halal ecosystem through certification digitalization, islamic financing, and cross-sector collaboration are key strategies to make Indonesia a global center of the halal economy.

Abstract

This study explores the position of hadith within the pesantren educational system, focusing particularly on the kitab kuning tradition, the methods of talaqqi and musyāfahah, the role of the kiai as the authoritative bearer of scholarly sanad, the pesantren’s value system rooted in prophetic teachings, and the integration of hadith studies into the modern pesantren framework. Employing a library research approach, the study examines key concepts and findings from a range of relevant scholarly works. The analysis demonstrates that hadith constitutes both the epistemological and spiritual foundation of pesantren education. It functions not only as a source of legal and moral guidance but also shapes the distinctive modes of knowledge transmission and educational ethos within the pesantren tradition. Modern pesantren, in turn, strive to integrate hadith studies into contemporary educational structures while preserving the authenticity of the sanad-based tradition. In this way, hadith serves as the intellectual and spiritual core that sustains the continuity of knowledge, ethical conduct, and Islamic spirituality in the pesantren milieu.
