Abstract

The threat of insurgency or modern rebellion of Islamic State in Indonesia is strongly influenced by the Southeast Asian regional environment which has a region with religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity. Ethnic, religious, racial, and intergroup conflicts have caused economic, political, and psychological losses. This article aims to describe and analyze using a variety of approaches applied in Indonesia to face the modern insurgency of the Islamic State using qualitative analysis methods. The technique of collecting data and information is through literature study. There are several jihadi organizations and groups that carry out operations, such as Jamaah Islamiyah, the Indonesian Mujahideen Council, and others. The vitality of radical and extremist groups is able to rise to renew leadership in the organizational network structure based on personal closeness, friendship, and family. National resilience as a dynamic condition of the nation and the conception of national development in achieving the goals and ideals of the nation, which is tough and tenacious and capable of developing national strength in dealing with all kinds and forms of threats, challenges, obstacles, and disturbances both coming from within and from within. outside, which threatens and endangers the integrity, identity and survival of the nation and state, especially the threat of modern Islamic State insurgency. Modern insurgency may never develop sufficient military strength to carry out conventional operations and must therefore rely on terrorism and psychological and political means. Therefore, facing the threat of the Islamic State, the Government of Indonesia must map the transformation of ISIS in Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia, so that it is faced with proportional efforts and actions such as dealing with domestic insurgency, regional cooperation, and the involvement of extraregional forces within the ASEAN framework.

Abstract

The problems discussed in this study relate to the number of employee work accidents that tend to increase each year significantly due to aspects of the work environment, work equipment and materials, and how to do work. Therefore, this study's purpose of identifying and analyzing employees' occupational health and safety at the Makassar City Fire Department. The research method used is descriptive-quantitative. The population in this study were all firefighters in the Makassar City Fire Department, with a total sample of 214 people. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observations, interviews, and document review using a Likert's Summated Rating (Likert's) scale analysis and SPSS 17 program assistance. The results showed that the occupational health and safety of the Makassar City firefighter department is a positive category. In addition, 196 respondents or 91,5% positive outlook and 18 respondents or 8,41% have a very positive outlook in environment work, 133 respondents or 37,9% positive outlook and 81 respondents or 37,9% positive outlooks about work equipment and materials. The last aspect shows 135 respondents or 63,1% positive outlooks and 79 respondents or 36,9% positive outlook on how to do the work

Abstract

The existence of brokers in administrative services raises various perceptions among the public. Some people think that the presence of brokers as one of the negative image bearers of the organization, and some people perceive it as a positive thing. Therefore, this article is here to explain the public perception toward the use of brokers with the research located at Kolaka Ferry port. This research uses quantitative methods with data sources derived from the results of questionnaires and supported by secondary data related to the use of brokerage services and ticketing services at ports. The research data were then analyzed descriptively by percentage, starting with calculating the respondent's value for each aspect, recapitulating the value, calculating the average value, and calculating the presentation. The results showed that the people in Kolaka Regency felt happy and were helped by the presence of brokers. Unofficial ticket services are the reason people prefer to use brokerage services when buying tickets. Brokers who provide services will not be held responsible when people are caught using their services. In addition, the community supports the provision of punishment when a port manager is involved in the practice of brokering.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the following: 1) The effect of work discipline on employee performance in the Regional Secretariat of Kota Pariaman. 2) The influence of competence on employee performance in the Regional Secretariat of Kota Pariaman. 3) The effect of integrity on employee performance in the Regional Secretariat of Kota Pariaman. 4) The effect of work discipline on employee integrity in the Regional Secretariat of Kota Pariaman. The data collection method is a part of the data collection instrument that determines the success or failure of a study. This type of research uses an associative quantitative approach. To get the data needed in this study, the authors used techniques in data collection. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative analysis. The types of data collected in this study were taken from two sources, namely primary data and secondary data. Hypothesis testing in this study was carried out by path analysis. Based on the results of analysis and discussion, it is known that 1) Work discipline has an effect on employee performance (Px1y) is 0.232 with a significance value of 0.007. 2) Job competence has a significant effect on employee performance (Px2y) is 0.462 with a significance value of 0.000. 3) Integrity has a significant effect on employee performance (Px3y) is 0.230 with a significance value of 0.009. 4) Work discipline has no significant effect on integrity (Px1x3) is 0.175 with a significance value of 0.096. 5) Competence has a significant effect on integrity (Px2x3) is 0.508 with a significance value of 0.000. Abstract

Globalization poses positive impacts such as advances in science and technology, facilitating the flow of information, communication, and distribution of goods and services. The negative impact of globalization is in the form of a threat to the nation's culture, the fading national identity, the dissolution of national borders, and the threat of other organizations. The impact of globalization is becoming an increasingly big and serious threat, especially when the organization lacks strong discipline. The purpose of this study is to find out how the performance of State Civil Apparatus, organizational culture concept framework, and efforts to improve the performance of Civil State Apparatus. The issue of Civil Servant performance will be accomplished and fulfilled if several factors influence it. One of the factors in question is organizational culture. Organizational culture is a philosophy, ideology, values, assumptions, beliefs, expectations, attitudes, and norms that are shared and binding in a particular community. Specifically in the culture within the organization will be determined by the conditions of the teamwork, leaders, and characteristics of the organization and the applicable administration process. Efforts to maintain the positive atmosphere of organizational culture will be able to improve employee performance, in other words, the better the organizational culture the higher the high level of performance, otherwise the worse the existing organizational culture the lower level of employee performance becomes low

Abstract

This study aims to analyze regional economic development planning through land use with a sustainable development model that is studied using the literature review method by reviewing articles in previous research so that it can provide some description and inspiration in providing solutions related to regional economic development planning problems obtained through the site. Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors that can affect tax compliance at Tanah Abang Market traders, which are the tax rate, perceived opportunity to evade, legal certainty, and group influence. This study uses a quantitative method with a positivism approach which examines social phenomena and captures the perceptions of MSEs actors on the determinants of tax compliance. The sample in this study were 154 MSEs respondents in Tanah Abang Market that were scope into Central Jakarta Regional Tax Office, both private individuals and corporate taxpayers. The results of the study revealed that the tax rate, perceived opportunity to evade, legal certainty, and group influence have a positive effect on tax compliance at Tanah Abang Market traders, but not significant only in the tax rate variable. This is very useful for the DGT authority and the Fiscal Policy Agency as policymakers that the reduction in tax rates does not affect the compliance behavior of MSEs traders and increase monitoring of compliance with MSEs taxpayers through derivative regulations on the implementation of supervision of MSEs taxpayers.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the effect of good corporate governance (GCG), risk management on company performance. The population in this study came from the consumer goods industry sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. The sampling technique is a purposive sampling method with the secondary data type, which produces a sample of 27 companies. The data analysis method used descriptive statistical analysis and partial least squares (PLS) analysis. The results of this study show how that Risk Management does not affect Company Performance, The results of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) affect the Company's Performance, simultaneously concluded that simultaneously the variables of GCG and Risk Management have a positive and significant effect on variable Y, namely Company Performance and based on the Cross-section F value of 0.6478, the value of Cross-section F probability is greater than the significance level of 0.05  that is 0.6478> 0.05, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which shows positively Leverage Moderates Risk Management on Company Performance and based on the Cross-section F value of 0.0000, the value of Cross-section F probability is smaller than the significance level of 0.05 that is 0.0000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which shows positively Leverage Moderates Good Corporate Governance on Company Performance.

Abstract

Social networking is rapidly changing the communication environment of contemporary social media. Social media's growth has had a profound effect on students' academic lives. Institutions and researchers are actively playing with social networking technologies with the expectation of stimulating strategic thinking, collaboration, and knowledge rising. Today's higher education establishments have adopted social media to communicate for students with teachers, fellow students, and other higher authorities. This necessitated the investigation and analysis of the impact of social media on students' academic lives in this report. The study argued for a qualitative approach to assessing these effects. Thirty international students enrolled at Karachi's university were randomly chosen and questioned over four weeks. Following an examination of the phenomena that motivated the study and transcription of the participants' comments, the results suggest that students in higher education often use social networking and that participants believe that social media plays a major role in their academic success. Social networking applications can augment classroom content and have a beneficial effect on conversations, community service, and authoring. However, since these media are inherently accessible, it is critical to closely understand the advantages, consequences, and pitfalls of transparency, as well as the critical nature of ongoing contact with students in order to discuss their concerns and resolve any problems that arise as a result of social media use. The analysis concludes that as an international student studying in Pakistan, social media contributes to academic creativity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan implementasi kebijakan pemekaran daerah, faktor-faktor yang mendukung implementasi kebijakan pemekaran daerah, menganalisis wujud implementasi kebijakan di bidang politik, ekonomi dan sosial budaya, serta menganalisis implementasi kebijakan pemekaran daerah dalam mendukung integrasi nasional di Kabupaten Luwu Timur. Penelitian eksploratif ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui, observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tahapan implementasi kebijakan pemekaran daerah Kabupaten Luwu Timur telah dilaksanakan sesuai ketentuan perundang-undangan yang mengatur. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung implementasi kebijakan pemekaran daerah adalah adanya sumber daya alam yang potensial, penanaman modal (investasi), infrastruktur transportasi dan komunikasi, keterbukaan terhadap pihak luar dan dukungan publik (masyarakat). Wujud implementasi kebijakan di bidang politik meliputi pembangunan berbagai struktur dan infrastruktur politik, adanya transparansi dan akuntabilitas pemerintahan, peningkatan peran dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam proses pengambilan keputusan, kebebasan berpolitik dan berorganisasi, penegakan supremasi hukum dan hak asasi manusia, serta terwujudnya stabilitas politik. Di bidang ekonomi meliputi percepatan pembangunan struktur dan infrastruktur ekonomi, pengelolaan potensi sumber daya alam dan peningkatan lapangan kerja, pendapatan perkapita, Produk Domestik Regional Bruto serta Pendapatan Asli Daerah. Di bidang sosial budaya meliputi pembinaan kerukunan hidup antar warga masyarakat, berkurangnya kesenjangan sosial budaya, peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, kemampuan penataan wilayah dan pemberdayaan kelompok masyarakat ter.pencil, pengembangan nilai-nilai budaya lokal dan pemanfaatan kearifan lokal dalam menyelesaikan berbagai masalah. Implementasi kebijakan pemekaran daerah mendukung integrasi nasional di Kabupaten Luwu Timur, karena; terwujudnya stabilitas kehidupan bermasyarakat, adanya kemudahan memperoleh pelayanan publik, meningkatnya kualitas pelayanan publik, dan terwujudnya integrasi dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Kata Kunci: Implementasi kebijakan, pemekaran daerah.
