Abstract

Background : Appendicitis is inflammation that occurs in the appendix vermiformis. Appendicitis is the most common cause of acute abdominal pain which requires immediate surgery to prevent appendix perforation. Examination of leukocyte levels is one of the parameters for the diagnosis of appendicitis. However, it is not clear the difference in leukocyte levels between acute appendicitis and perforated appendicitis. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between leucocyte levels as a predictor of appendix perforation in acute appendicitis. Method : The research method used was a Literature Review, using secondary data. Data were collected using documentation techniques. The research journals used were 5 journals with inclusion criteria for the publication date of the last 10 years, the language used was Indonesian or English, with the subject of the study of patients with a diagnosis of acute appendicitis, perforated appendicitis and full text publication. Conclusion : Leukocyte levels can be used as a supporting diagnosis to distinguish acute appendicitis from perforated appendicitis, where the leucocyte level in perforated appendicitis is higher than in acute appendicitis.

DM is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia due to impaired insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. DM can be classified into several types, namely, type I DM, type 2 DM, gestational DM, and other types of DM. There are several types of DM, type 2 DM is the type most commonly found in 90-95%. Patients with DM usually feel discomfort as a result of the symptoms of the disease. The symptoms, such as: polyuria (lots of urine), polydipsia (drink a lot), poliphagi (a lot of eating), and others that occur at night can certainly interfere with sleep. The occurrence of sleep disturbances will have an impact on increasing the frequency of awakening, difficulty falling back to sleep, sleep dissatisfaction which ultimately results in a decrease in sleep quality. The purpose of this this study was to determinan the relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus and sleep quality. Method : The research method used is a Literature Review, using secondary data. Data were collected using documentation techniques. The research journals used were 5 journals with inclusion criteria for the language used was Indonesian, with the research subjects of the type 2 DMpatients, and full text publication. Conclusion : There is a relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus and sleep quality and the realitionship between sleep quality and KGD, HbA1c, blood pressure, BMI and sociodemography. Keywords : DM type 2, Sleep quality.

Abstract

Background : Obesity is a risk factor for hypertension. Based on WHO data in 2016, more than 1.9 billion adults aged 18 years and over are overweight. Of these, more than 650 million adults are obese. In Indonesia, 13.5% of adults aged 18 years and over are overweight, while 28.7% are obese (BMI ≥ 25). Based on WHO data in 2015, it shows that around 1.13 billion people in the world have hypertension. Riskesdas 2018 states that the estimated number of hypertension cases in Indonesia is 63,309,620 people, while the death rate in Indonesia due to hypertension is 427,218 deaths. Objective : To determine the relationship between obesity and hypertension (high blood pressure). Methods : The study was conducted using the literature study method or literature review that focuses on writing results related to the relationship between obesity and hypertension through searches for accredited journal sites such as Google Schoolar, Pubmed, National Library and Research Gate in the 2015-2020 period. Results : Based on several journals that have been reviewed, most journals state that obesity has a significant relationship with hypertension and there are also those who state that obesity does not have a significant relationship with hypertension. Conclusion : There are differences in the results obtained based on several journals that have been reviewed in the discussion of the relationship between obesity and hypertension. This difference in results can be caused by the multifactorial process of hypertension and obesity is one of the causes of hypertension.
