Abstract

Ibnu Sina is an important Muslim philosopher who built the theory of Prophethood with his treatise Itsbat al-Nubuwat. He marks the pinnacle of the Islamic philosophy with his thoughts on paripathetic philosophy, known as Masya'i, the syncretic philosophy (synthetic from the teachings of Revelation, Islam, Aristotelianism and Neoplatonism). Like other philosophers, Ibn Sina is a Muslim philosopher whom some criticized only as a duplication of Hellenism (Greek philosophy), which does not reflect Islamic thought. Yet those who gave birth to Islamic philosophy and strive and successfully combine revelation with reason, creed with wisdom, religion with philosophy. That explains to man that revelation is not contrary to reason. Ibn Sina makes a final synthetic of Islam with the philosophy of Aristotelianism and Neoplatonism into a permanent intellectual dimension in the Islamic world and endures as a philosophical teaching that lives to this day. Ibn Sina is a perfect digger and eternal translator of paripathetic philosophy which shows up to the philosophical gates of the illumination theosophy which signifies integral integral integration of philosophy and spirituality. One and a half centuries after the Philosophy of masya'i he brought Shihabuddin Suhrawardi to the illumination philosophy (al-ishraq).

Abstract

Rapidly developing technology allows one country to peek at and even imitate the culture of another country, one nation adopts another nation's culture. As is happening among Muslim women today where the style of dress should have been contaminated with foreign culture. Focused on the globalization of western culture, this paper aims to discuss the impact that has occurred on the success of the Western worldwide culture with the intention of destroying the faith and sharia of Muslims, especially the Muslimah fashion style. This research was conducted using the literature study method by collecting existing data to strengthen arguments and ideas. Research results include; 1) the globalization of western culture has shifted the function of clothing according to sharia to become a trend and fashion. 2) less shame on women, 3) minimal western-style clothing is one of the triggers for sexual harassment. Quoting one of the great Islamic scholars, Yusuf al-Qardhawi advised Muslim women to return to the Islamic millah, the style of dress that the Shari'a has prescribed so that life can be calm and relaxed. Interpreting taqwa clothing is not only an abstract meaning but is manifested in a physical form that is reflected in the actual Muslimah fashion style.

Abstract

Islamic education must view science and technology as the most important components of modern civilization, and studying them is an urgent necessity for the Islamic world if it does not want to be left behind. Furthermore, special attention should be paid to various modern sciences and techniques in the curriculum and various educational activities, but this must be in line with the spirit of Islam. The primary goal of Islamic education is to develop noble morals. Muslims, from the past to the present, have agreed that perfect moral education is the true goal of education. In teaching and learning activities, teachers require methods, and their use varies according to the desired objectives after the teaching process. A teacher will not be able to carry out their duties if they do not master any of the teaching methods formulated and proposed by psychologists and educational experts. Based on the above definition, the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning method can be defined as the method used by a religious teacher in the learning process to achieve goals in accordance with Islamic education.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and the increasing use of e-commerce have changed people's consumption patterns, especially in choosing halal products. Muslim consumers are increasingly selective about product halalness, not only in food and drinks, but also cosmetics, medicines and fashion. In this context, Muslim influencers have an important role in shaping buying interest through content that combines promotion with Islamic values. This research aims to analyze the influence of Muslim influencers on people's buying interest in halal products in e-commerce. The results of the study show that religious credibility, similar values, level of trust, and Islamic educational content shared by influencers have a significant influence on consumer purchasing interest. Factors supporting this influence include increasing halal awareness, the trend of emigrating the younger generation, the digital Muslim community, and support for government regulations. However, there are also inhibiting factors such as inconsistency in the image of influencers, excessive promotional content, price sensitivity, and the risk of fake influencers. In conclusion, marketing strategies through Muslim influencers have proven effective in increasing interest in buying halal products in e-commerce, as long as they are based on integrity and conformity with the principles of Islamic law.

Abstract

This study critically analyzes and addresses the long-standing theological dilemma in Islamic thought: the two distinct approaches employed by the Mu'tazilite and Ash'arite schools in reconciling human free will and God’s divine justice. Ultimately, it can be argued that neither school fully resolves this complex philosophical and theological dilemma. The objective of this research is to evaluate how each school constructs and defends its position on moral agency while maintaining God’s omnipotence and justice.A comparative analytical methodology is applied by using secondary literature on both schools' theological texts. It dissects their doctrinal systems, such as the Mu'tazilites' emphasis on human agency in producing actions (khalq al-af'al) and the Ash'arite doctrine of acquisition (kasb), to assess their conceptual consistency and practical implications regarding moral responsibility and divine justice. The findings reveal that the Mu'tazilites challenged the concept of absolute divine omnipotence, even as they aimed to defend human moral agency by granting humans’ independent causal power. Meanwhile, the Ash'arites developed the concept of Kasb within their strict endorsement of God's absolute sovereignty. Despite being subtle, this conception can reduce the freedom of will of humans to merely a formal rather than a practical capacity to do an act. Ultimately, neither school proposed an approach that solves the paradox without introducing new theological problems while upholding both divine justice, omnipotence, and human free will. Modern theological discourse could consider alternative conceptions of causality, time, or divine knowledge, or embrace the paradox as an essential feature of the divine-human relationship.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of morals in social and state life according to Ibn Miskawayh and Imam al-Mawardi. Through a qualitative descriptive literature review, this study examines the thoughts of these two figures on the importance of morals as the foundation for character formation in individuals, society, and the state. Ibn Miskawayh emphasized the cultivation and education of morals, as well as the balance between reason, passion, and anger. Imam al-Mawardi highlighted the role of morals in building social solidarity, just leadership, and fair law enforcement. Both agree that morals are the primary foundation for a harmonious society and a just government. The relevance of their thinking is crucial for application in facing the moral, social, political, and legal challenges of the modern era.
