Abstract

The shift to remote work has introduced significant challenges for leaders, particularly in balancing the need for organizational efficiency with the well-being of employees. The paradox of remote leadership lies in the difficulty of mitigating employee burnout Tan, Ewhile enhancing organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) through effective leadership. This study explores the relationship between digital transformational leadership, employee burnout, and OCB in remote work environments. The primary aim of this research is to investigate how digital transformational leadership can reduce employee burnout and promote OCB in remote work settings. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The survey assessed employee burnout, OCB, and perceptions of digital leadership, while interviews provided deeper insights into employee experiences. The findings reveal that digital transformational leadership significantly reduces burnout and enhances OCB. Employees who reported higher levels of leadership support and empowerment in virtual environments experienced lower burnout levels and higher engagement in extra-role behaviors. The study emphasizes the importance of digital leadership practices in fostering a healthy, motivated, and productive remote workforce. In conclusion, digital transformational leadership is essential for navigating the remote leadership paradox.

Abstract

Test anxiety is a significant barrier to academic success, particularly among high-achieving adolescents who face high academic pressures. The impact of test anxiety on students’ performance and psychological well-being necessitates effective interventions. Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC), a short-term, goal-oriented approach, has shown promise in addressing various psychological concerns, yet its specific efficacy in alleviating test anxiety among high-achieving adolescents remains under-explored. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of SFBC in reducing test anxiety and enhancing academic resilience in this population. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with 60 high-achieving adolescents randomly assigned to either an experimental group (SFBC intervention) or a control group. Pretest and posttest measures were taken using the Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI) and the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS). The experimental group received five SFBC sessions, while the control group received no intervention. Results indicated that the SFBC intervention significantly reduced test anxiety and enhanced academic resilience among the experimental group. The mean TAI score decreased significantly, and the ARS score increased, indicating improved coping strategies and greater academic perseverance.

Abstract

The integration of voice-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) micro-learning represents a promising innovation in elementary students’ reading instruction. This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of integrating voice-based AI micro-learning through a hybrid approach in enhancing elementary school students’ reading comprehension. The hybrid approach is employed to combine the strengths of AI and teachers in the learning process, enabling students to learn more effectively and efficiently. In this study, AI delivers instructional materials and provides feedback to students, while teachers monitor students’ progress and deliver appropriate interventions. The findings indicate that the integration of voice-based AI micro-learning through a hybrid approach significantly improves elementary school students’ reading comprehension. The study also reveals that students who engage with voice-based AI micro-learning within a hybrid approach demonstrate higher learning motivation and better reading abilities than those who rely on conventional instructional methods. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more effective and efficient reading instruction and to support the improvement of educational quality in Indonesia.

Abstract

Psychological well-being of senior high school students is a crucial factor that influences their academic success, social relationships, and ability to adapt to various developmental pressures. However, the increasing academic workload, social dynamics, and environmental demands have placed many students in a psychologically vulnerable state, necessitating effective and sustainable intervention services. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of group counseling in enhancing the psychological well-being of senior high school students using a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative and qualitative data complementarily. Qualitatively, in-depth interviews and student reflection sheets were utilized to explore emotional experiences, group dynamics, and students’ perceptions of the benefits of group counseling. The quantitative results revealed significant improvements in self-acceptance, positive relationships with others, and environmental mastery. The qualitative findings corroborated these results, showing that group counseling provided a sense of safety, enhanced openness, strengthened social support, and helped students develop more constructive strategies for managing academic stress. The study concludes that the group counseling approach can be implemented as a relevant, adaptive, and sustainable guidance and counseling service to support adolescent mental health.

Abstract

Teachers’ personal life stories serve as valuable sources of pedagogical reflection and innovation, providing insight into how experience shapes teaching identity and practice. This study aims to explore how teachers’ lived experiences contribute to their professional growth and pedagogical creativity. Using a qualitative narrative inquiry approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and reflective journals from six teachers across different educational levels. Thematic analysis revealed three major dimensions of professional development: (1) autobiographical reflection as a catalyst for pedagogical innovation, (2) transformation of challenges into creative teaching strategies, and (3) emotional resilience as the foundation for professional identity reconstruction. Findings demonstrate that teachers’ life narratives not only foster empathy and adaptability but also stimulate continuous innovation in teaching methods. The study concludes that narrative-based reflection enhances teachers’ awareness of their professional journey, enabling them to reinterpret personal experiences as a source of renewal in pedagogical practices. These insights highlight the importance of narrative inquiry as a powerful tool for teacher education and lifelong professional development.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of self-confidence and peer conformity on students’ cheating behavior in Islamic Religious Education at SMA Muhammadiyah Tanjung Redeb. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 79 students selected through simple random sampling from a population of 357 students. Self-confidence, peer conformity, and cheating behavior were measured using validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after meeting classical assumption tests. The results indicate that both self-confidence and peer conformity have significant partial effects on cheating behavior, with self-confidence (? = 0.438, p = 0.005) and peer conformity (? = 0.316, p = 0.047) showing positive relationships. Simultaneously, these two variables significantly predict cheating behavior (F = 11.555, p < 0.001) and explain 23.3% of the variance in students’ cheating tendencies (R² = 0.233). The novelty of this study lies in its integration of psychological and social factors within the specific context of Islamic Religious Education, highlighting how internal self-beliefs and peer dynamics interact to shape academic integrity. These findings imply that educational interventions should not only strengthen students’ self-confidence but also cultivate healthy peer norms and social awareness to effectively reduce cheating behavior and promote ethical learning practices.
