Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi para guru bahasa Indonesia SMA di Wilayah Provinsi DKI Jakarta, Indonesia tentang hubungan antara penerapan full day school dan penguatan pendidikan karakter bagi siswa. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalaui survei secara online kepada sejumlah guru bahasa Indonesia. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah bersifat purposive sehingga tidak dapat dijadikan sebagai landasan untuk menggeneralkan persepsi dari sejumlah populasi. Data yang dideskripsikan dalam penelitian ini mencakup dua hal, yaitu berupa hubungan antara status kepegawaian dan pengalaman kerja dengan persepsi tentang full day school sebagai penguatan pendidikan karakter bagi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjuukan,  bahwa terdapat hubungan status kepegawaian dan pengalaman dengan persepsi terhadap sistem full day school sebagai penguatan pendidikan karakter siswa, yaitu  1) hubungan antara pengalaman dan  persepsi terhadap full day school sebagai wahana penguatan karakter siswa sebesar 0.161, dan 2) hubungan antara status kepegawaian dan persepsi terhadap full day school sebagai wahana penguatan pendidikan karakter siswa sebesar 0.033. Hasil Penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu evaluasi mengenai efektivitas penerapan full day school dalam sistem persekolahan di Indonesia.  Kata kunci: Persepsi, pengalaman, status kepegawaian, full day school. Abstract: This study aims to describe the perceptions of high school Indonesian language teachers in the DKI Jakarta Province, Indonesia about the relationship between implementing full day school and strengthening character education of student. The research data was obtained through an online survey of a number of Indonesian Language Teachers. The sample used in the study is purposive so that it cannot be used as a basis for generalizing the perception of a number of populations. The data described in this study includes two things, namely in the form of a relationship between staffing status and work experience with perceptions about full day school as a reinforcement of character education of student. The results show that there is a relationship between staffing status and experience with the perception of the full day school system as a reinforcement of student character education, namely 1) the relationship between experience with the perception of full day school as a vehicle for strengthening the character of students is equal to 0.161, and 2) the relationship between employment status with the perception of full day school vehicle for strengthening student character education is 0.033. The results of this study can be used as an evaluation of the effectiveness of implementing Full Day School in the school system in Indonesia. Keywords: Perception, experience, employment status, full day school

Abstract

Adolescent is a transition period with developmental tasks of gaining a social role and emotional freedom from parents, but adolescent still cannot control themselves well. This study examines gender differences between boys and girls in parents socialization method, self control and their influence on manners character of adolescence. This study used a cross-sectional research design. A diverse sample of junior high school students (n=187; 87 boys and 100 girls) were selected considering proportionate random sampling method to answer survey using questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS 16.0. Findings of this study suggest that parents socialization method (ρ = 0.323) and self control (ρ=0.401) have positive effects on manners character of adolescence.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengungkapkan: (1) nilai-nilai semboyan maja labo dahu dalam pendidikan karakter;  (2) implementasi semboyan maja labo dahu dalam pendidikan karakter;  (3) efektivitas implementasi semboyan maja labo dahu dalam pendidikan karakter di MTs Negeri 1 Kota Bima. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Penentuan  subjek penelitian yang dilakukan dengan teknik purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif model interaktif dengan langkah-langkah: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Nilai-nilai semboyan maja labo dahu sesuai dengan nilai-nilai dalam pendidikan karakter, yaitu: nilai religius, jujur, disiplin, mandiri, menghargai prestasi, dan cinta tanah air. (2) Implementasi semboyan maja labo dahu belum dirumuskan secara eksplisit atau dibakukan sebagai materi pelajaran. (3). Semboyan  maja labo dahu telah efektif memberikan pengetahuan moral tentang nilai-nilai semboyan maja labo dahu kepada siswa. Kata Kunci:   semboyan,  maja labo dahu,  pendidikan karakter MAJA LABO DAHU SLOGAN IN CHARACTER EDUCATION Abstract: The purpose of this research was to reveal: (1) ) the values of the maja labo dahu slogan in character education; (2)  the implementation of   maja labo dahu  slogan  in character education; (3) the effectiveness of the implementation  of maja labo dahu  slogan in character education in Public MTs 1 Bima City. This research is a qualitative descriptive research using case study approach in Public MTs 1 Bima City. Informants in this study were principals, teachers, and students of Public MTs 1 Bima City. Determination of research was subjects conducted with purposive techniques. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) The values of maja labo dahu slogan were in accordance with the values in character education, namely: religious values, honest, disciplined, independent, appreciating achievement and loving the homeland. (2) the implementation of maja labo dahu slogan in Public MTs 1 Bima City was not formulated explicitly or standardized as subject matter. Abstract

Character education is very essential. Good character brings peace, happiness and peace of mind, both personally and socially, even for the nation. Character education reflection is shown in many puppet shows. Wayang as a spectacle and guidance. Wayang as a spectacle is for entertainment, while as a guidance is a vehicle for character education. Which is indeed full of character education. The data source of this research was "Banjaran Bima Play" in the video of Ki Seno Nugroho's puppet show, and is done by exploring and collaborating character education in the Banjaran Bima puppet play and its implications in education. This research used an instrument in the form of data cards. Data collection was done through the stages of observing, transcribing, identifying, and coding. The data validity was established through in-depth observation, repeated studies, extended participation, peer discussions, and source triangulation. Data analysis technique used the steps of classification, description, interpretation, elaboration, and conclusion. The results of the study show the character of (1) Godhead, (2) obedient to teachers and parents, (3) nationalism, (4) integrity, (5) responsibility, (6) discipline, (7) respect for others, ( 8) independent, (9) mutual cooperation, (10) hard worker, and (11) smart. These various characters can be implicated in the field of education, both at the education center (informal, formal and non-formal) and at every level of education (elementary school to university). This is evidenced that these characters are always contained in the Education Curriculum in Indonesia since 1947 to 2013 with various developments. Keywords: character, puppet, Banjaran Bima, spectacle, guidance,  PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM LAKON BAJARAN BIMA DAN IMPLIKASINYA  DALAM PENDIDIKAN Pendidikan karakter amatlah penting. Karakter baik membawa kedamaian, kebahagiaan, dan ketenteraman jiwa, baik secara personal maupun sosial, bahkan bagi bangsa dan negara. Pendidikan karakter banyak ditentukan dalam pertunjukan wayang. Wayang sebagai tontonan dan tuntunan. Sebagai tontonan wayang untuk hiburan, sebagai tuntutan wayang sebagai wahana pendidikan karakter.  Sumber data penelitian adalah Lakon Banjaran Bima dalam video pagelaran wayang oleh Ki Seno Nugroho dengan mengeksplorasi dan mengalobari pendidikan karakter dalam lakon wayang  Banjaran Bima dan implikasinya pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen yang berupa kartu data. Pemerolehan data melalui tahapan mengamati, mentranskripsi, mengidentifikasi, dan kodifikasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan pengamatan yang mendalam/cermat, kajian berulang, perpanjangan keikutsertaan, diskusi teman sejawat, triangulasi sumber.  Analisis data menggunakan langkah klasifikasi, deskripsi, interpretasi, elaborasi, dan inferensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakter (1) Berketuhanan, (2) patuh pada guru dan orang tua, (3) nasionalisme, (4) integritas, (5) bertanggung jawab, (6) kedisiplinan, (7) menghormati orang lain, (8) mandiri, (9) gotong royong, (10) pekerja keras, dan (11) cerdas. Berbagai karakter tersebut dapat diimplikasikan dalam bidang pendidikan, baik pada tripusat pendidikan (informal, formal, dan nonformal) maupun pada setiap jenjang pendidikan (Sekolah Dasar  hingga Perguruan Tinggi). Hal ini dibuktikan bahwa karakter-karakter tersebut selalu termuat dalam Kurikulum Pendidikan di Indonesia semenjak 1947 hingga 2013 dengan mengalami berbagai perkembangan. Kata kunci: karakter, wayang, Banjaran Bima, tontonan, tuntunan

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh perilaku peserta didik di wilayah perbatasan yang cenderung bersikap, berbahasa, berbudaya hingga menyukai penggunaan produk dari Timor Leste dibandingkan Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan penguatan karakter nasionalisme melalui pembiasaan (habituasi) di SMPN Silawan, Kabupaten Belu, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Proses penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik, guru, dan tokoh masyarakat. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis keabsahan data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik yang digunakan oleh sekolah dalam menguatkan karakter nasionalisme peserta didik adalah melalui pembiasaan (habituasi). Melalui pembiasaaan ini, sekolah menyelenggarakan  best practice yang meliputi upacara bendera, penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar, menyanyikan lagu kebangsaan sebelum dan mengakiri pembelajaran, penyambutan tamu kenegaraan di wilayah perbatasan, penggunaan yel – yel kebangsaan, hingga keteladanan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa melalui program pembiasaan (habituasi) yang diselenggarakan oleh sekolah, mampu untuk menguatkan karakter nasionalisme peserta didik. Hal tersebut dibuktikan oleh perilaku dan juga aktivitas sehari  -hari peserta didik yang sudah mencintai produk dalam negeri, berbahasa Indonesia dengan baik, dan benar hingga merasa sangat mencitai Indonesia.Kata kunci : habituasi, karakter nasionalisme, peserta didik, wilayah perbatasan, abad 21 ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by students’ behavior in Indonesian border region who prefer to behave, speak, cultured even use products from Timor Lestecompared to Indonesia. The purpose of this research was to describe the process of strengthening the character of nationalism through habituation in SMPN Silawan, Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The research process used qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects in this research were students, teachers, and community leaders. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity analysis of the data consists of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The technique used by schools in strengthening the character of students' nationalism was through habituation. Through this practice, the school organized best practices in program included flag ceremonies, the use of good and appropriate Indonesian language, singing national anthem before and end the learning, welcoming state guests in the border region, and using national yells. The results of the study showed that through habituation programs organized by schools, it was able to strengthen the character of nationalism of students. This was proven by the behavior and daily activities of the students who have loved domestic products, speak Indonesian well and appropriate, even feel very fond of Indonesia.Key words: border area, habituation, nationalism character, student, the 21st century

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendidikan karakter menurut Ki Hadjar Dewantara dan Driyarkara dan relevansinya bagi pendidikan karakter di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan bentuk studi pustaka. Objek material penelitian yaitu pemikiran pendidikan karakter Ki Hadjar Dewantara dan Driyarkara ditinjau dari perspektif aliran progresivisme. Metodenya dengan komparasi dua atau lebih filsuf atau aliran. Penelitian ini membandingkan dua pandangan tokoh, yaitu Ki Hadjar Dewantara dan Driyarkara tentang pendidikan Karakter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pendidikan karakter Ki Hadjar Dewantara menekankan tiga instrumen dasar yaitu keluarga, perguruan, dan pergerakan pemuda; (2) Driyarkara menekankan satu kesatuan tunggal yaitu ayah-ibu-anak dalam pendidikan karakter dasar; dan (3) pendidikan karakter Ki Hadjar Dewantara dan Driyarkara apabila dikombinasikan akan relevan dengan pendidikan karakter di Indonesia.Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, Ki Hadjar Dewantara, DriyarkaraCHARACTER EDUCATION ACCORDING TO KI HADJAR DEWANTARA AND DRIYARKARA Abstract: This study aims to analyze character education according to Ki Hadjar Dewantara and Driyarkara and its relevance for character education in Indonesia. This research is a qualitative research with a form of literature study. The material objects of the study were the educational thoughts of the characters of Ki Hadjar Dewantara and Driyarkara, reviewed by the progressivism stream perspective. The method with a comparison of two or more philosophers or schools. This study compares two views of figures namely Ki Hadjar Dewantara and Driyarkara about Character education. The research shows the following results: (1) Ki Hadjar Dewantara's character education emphasizes three basic instruments namely family, college and youth movement; (2) Driyarkara emphasizes a single entity namely father-mother-child in basic character education; and (3) Education of Ki Hadjar characters Dewantara and Driyarkara when combined will be relevant to character education in Indonesia.Keywords: character education, Ki Hadjar Dewantara, Driyarkara

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli sosial di masyarakat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis yang mengambil setting masyarakat pluralisme di Cigugur Kuningan. Subjek penelitiannya adalah perwakilan masyarakat yang beragama Islam, Katolik, dan ADS (Agama Djawa Sunda). Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode penanaman karakter peduli sosial di lingkungan masyarakat Cigugur Kuningan adalah melalui keteladanan dan pembiasaan. Keteladanan karakter peduli sosial melalui pemuka agama Islam, Katolik, dan ADS. Sedangkan pembiasaan karakter peduli sosial melalui kegiatan-kegiatan di masyarakat yaitu gotong royong membangun tempat ibadah dan rumah warga, pembuatan jalan dan parit, serta saling membantu saat ada warga masyarakat yang terkena musibah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the attitude of students in Batanghari High School toward physics learning. The type of research used in quantitative research is survey research design. The study involved 926 students of Senior High School in Batanghari District. Data collected through interview and questionnaire as many as 54 statement and used Likert scale 5 points and interview as a contributor to the questionnaire. Data analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the analysis obtained on the indicator of the normality of scientists are 50.6% of students categorized well. The attitude indicator in physics as much as 46% are categorized well. The indicator of enjoyment in learning physics of 55.5% is categorized as good enough attitude. then the indicator of career interest in the field of physics by 45% is categorized quite well. Based on these results in part at Batanghari Senior High School students have a poor attitude towards the learning of physics.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examined what character education values presented in the English textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic Indonesia for grade 12. This type of this research is a content analysis. The data source of this research is the English textbook for grade 12 SMA/SMK. Fourteen speaking scripts of this textbook were analysed by using content analysis to find what values inserted in it. The finding showed that there were 17 character education values presented in the English textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris SMA/SMK. It means this textbook is suitable as the materials and guidance for English teachers to teach English and to develop the character education values suggested by the 2013 Curriculum to the students.Keywords: character education values, content analysis, the english texbook, the 2013 curriculumANALISIS NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM BUKU TEKS BAHASA INGGRIS UNTUK SISWA KELAS DUA BELAS SMA: BAHASA INGGRIS SMA/SMK Abstrak: Penelitian ini menguji nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter apa yang disajikan dalam buku teks bahasa Inggris yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia untuk kelas 12. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analisis isi. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu buku teks bahasa Inggris untuk SMA/SMK kelas 12. Empat belas potongan pembicaraan dari buku teks ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis konten untuk menemukan nilai-nilai apa yang ada di dalamnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 17 nilai pendidikan karakter yang disajikan dalam buku teks bahasa Inggris berjudul Bahasa Inggris SMA/SMK. Ini berarti buku teks ini cocok sebagai bahan dan pedoman bagi guru Bahasa Inggris untuk mengajar Bahasa Inggris dan untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang disarankan oleh Kurikulum 2013 kepada para siswa.Kata Kunci: nilai pendidikan karakter, analisis konten, buku teks bahasa inggris, kurikulum 2013

Abstract

Abstrak: Penanaman karakter religius sangat urgen dalam upaya mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Telah banyak studi dilakukan untuk meneliti penanaman atau implementasi karakter religius pada peserta didik. Namun, masih belum banyak penelitian yang melakukan evaluasi dan pengukuran terhadap tingkat karakter religius mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menjelaskan karakter religius pada mahasiswa program pascasarjana. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi mahasiswa program pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta angkatan 2018. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dan proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tentang The Muslim Religiosity Personality Inventory (MRPI) untuk mengukur religiositas mereka. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara umum, mahasiswa program pascasarjana UNY memiliki skor religiositas yang tinggi. Adapun dari segi gender, tingkat religiositas cenderung merata, meskipun laki-laki meraih skor sedikit lebih tinggi dari perempuan. Adapun perdimensi, skor tertinggi adalah kesalehan personal, lalu kesalehan sosial dan terendah kesalehan ritual.Kata Kunci: karakter religius; mahasiswa program pascasarjana; religiusitas personal, religiusitas ritual, religiusitas sosialRELIGIOUS CHARACTER ON STUDENTS OF POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM AT YOGYAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITY Abstract: The cultivation of religious character is very urgent in the effort to realize the goals of national education. There have been many studies conducted to examine the planting or implementation of religious character in students. However, there are still not many studies that evaluate and measure the level of their religious character. This study aims to measure and explain the religious character of postgraduate students. This study used a quantitative approach with a population of postgraduate students of Yogyakarta State University of 2018. Sample ditermination used probability sampling and proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection used a questionnaire about The Muslim Religiosity Personality Inventory (MRPI) to measure their religiosity. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. The results showed that in general, postgraduate students of Yogyakarta State University had high religiosity scores. In terms of gender, the level of religiosity tends to be evenly distributed, although men score slightly higher than women. As for the dimensions, the highest score is personal piety, then social piety, and the lowest is ritual piety.Keywords: religious character; students of postgraduate program; personal religiosity, ritual religiosity, social religiosity
