Abstract

Nur Medina Islamic Boarding School Pondok Cabe conducts a student quality selection process aimed at providing appreciation to the best students managed by the boarding school. However, this selection process is still carried out manually, which may lead to subjectivity and inefficiency in decision making. This study aims to design and develop a decision support system to determine high-quality students using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is applied because it is able to determine the best alternative based on the weighted summation of each predetermined criterion. The system design is modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The results of the application of the SAW method are in the form of a ranking of students as a quality alternative with the highest V value, namely V4 = 0.78 with a participant named Ali Akbar. The developed system is expected to assist the Islamic boarding school management in selecting high-quality students objectively, systematically, effectively, and accurately.

Abstract

The increasing competition in the manufacturing industry requires companies to continuously enhance productivity in order to maintain efficiency and competitiveness. This study aims to measure the productivity level in the LED lamp production process using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method combined with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) weighting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). The data analyzed include labor efficiency, machine utilization, product quality, setup time, and production costs during the period of January to December 2024. The OMAX calculation results indicate that the productivity index fluctuated throughout the research period, with an average value of 281. The highest index was achieved in July at 392, while the lowest occurred in October at 178. These fluctuations reveal instability in resource management and production performance. RCA, supported by the Fishbone Diagram and 5 Whys Analysis, identified the main root causes of decreased productivity: delayed preventive maintenance, inconsistent material quality, and uneven operator skills. Based on these findings, the study recommends implementing preventive maintenance scheduling, conducting regular operator training, and integrating a more comprehensive productivity monitoring system. These improvement efforts are expected to enhance process efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure sustainable product quality. This research provides practical contributions as a reference for productivity evaluation and strategic decision-making in the manufacturing industry

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of workload on employee performance at PT X, a pharmaceutical distributor (Pedagang Besar Farmasi/PBF). This research uses a quantitative approach with a saturated sampling technique, involving all employees of PT X (n=11). Data were collected using a questionnaire as primary data and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. Workload was measured using nine indicators, and employee performance was measured using nine indicators. The results show that workload has a positive but not statistically significant effect on employee performance (t=1.955; p=0.051). These findings indicate that, within the observed sample, there is insufficient evidence to confirm a significant effect of workload on performance at the 5% significance level. This study is expected to provide input for PT X in evaluating workload management to support performance improvement and organizational objectives.

Abstract

Selecting the right engine oil is essential for maintaining performance and extending the lifespan of automatic motorcycle engines. At Dede Extrem Motorcycle Workshop, oil recommendations are still made subjectively based on mechanic habits or preferences without systematic evaluation of technical criteria, which may cause mismatches between engine requirements and the lubricant used. This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method to determine the best oil based on six criteria: viscosity, temperature resistance, lubrication level, fuel efficiency, price affordability, and brand reputation. Using real-price data for three oil alternatives, the ranking results indicate Motul Scooter LE (A3) as the top recommendation with Qi = 0.9750, followed by Castrol Power 1 Scooter (A2) Qi = 0.9414 and Shell Advance AX7 Scooter (A1) Qi = 0.9367. In addition, a 1–5 scale evaluation test (five alternatives) shows A5 as the best alternative with Qi = 0.91 (rank 1), while A4 has the lowest score with Qi = 0.65 (rank 5). These results suggest that technical performance criteria have a stronger influence than price in determining oil recommendations. The developed system provides a more objective and consistent ranking output to assist mechanics in decision making.

Abstract

Tukak peptik adalah luka yang dapat terjadi pada lambung dan usus halus bagian atas dengan prevalensi 6 – 15% terutama pada usia 20 – 50 tahun. Obat-obatan sintetis masih menjadi pilihan utama dalam pengobatan, namun ada banyak tanaman yang diketahui berkhasiat sebagai obat antitukak. Salah satu tanaman yang berkhasiat sebagai antitukak adalah petai (Parkia speciosa). Daun petai dapat diformulasi menjadi tablet floating-mucoadhesive dengan polimer HPMC-K4M dan Carbopol®934P, sehingga pelepasan obat tertarget di saluran pencernaan atas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi polimer terhadap kekerasan, kerapuhan, floating lag time, floating time, swelling index dan mucoadhesion time. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi HPMC-K4M dan Carbopol®934P menurunkan indeks kerapuhan, floating lag time, dan mucoadhesion time, namun meningkatkan nilai kekerasan, floating time, dan swelling index tablet.

Abstract

Abstrak Salah satu parameter untuk mendapatkan gula sesuai standar SNI adalah kemurnian nira. Nira merupakan cairan hasil ekstraksi tebu. Nira akan dipisahkan dari kotoran menjadi nira jernih dengan ditambahkan flokulan. Konsentrasi flokulan juga sangat berpengaruh terhadap pengendapan nira. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan dosis flokulan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan laju pengendapan kotoran nira dan mengetahui dosis flokulan yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas clear juice atau nira encer. Pengujian yang dilakukan meliputi pengujian jar test, pengukuran turbiditas, pH dan pengamatan warna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis flokulan dapat mempengaruhi kualitas clear juice yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan tiga aspek yaitu pH clear juice, laju pengendapan dan turbiditas, dosing flokulan yang baik yaitu pada 7 ppm dengan kondisi pH awal 7,8 Kata kunci: clear juice, flokulan, jar test, nira, turbiditas Abstract One of the parameters to obtain sugar according to SNI standards is the purity of nira. nira is the liquid extracted from sugarcane. Nira will be separated from impurities into clear nira by adding flocculants. Flocculant concentration is also very influential on the precipitation of nira. This study aims to determine the dose of flocculant that is effective to increase the rate of precipitation of nira impurities and determine the dose of flocculant that can affect the quality of clear juice or dilute nira. Tests conducted include jar test, turbidity measurement, pH and color observation. The results showed that the dose of flocculant can affect the quality of clear juice produced. Based on three aspects, namely clear juice pH, settling rate and turbidity, good flocculant dosing is at 7 ppm with initial pH conditions of 7.8. Abstract

In this study, the effect of activated carbon mass and methylene blue solution concentration on adsorption capacity, the length of time required to reach equilibrium, and isothermal modeling of activated carbon material in the adsorption process were studied. The variables used are the mass of activated carbon as much as 100 mg, 75 mg, and 50 mg and the concentration of methylene blue solution of 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 ppm. The adsorption process in the three mass variations occurred at an optimum contact time of 80 and 90 minutes with an adsorption percentage of 99%. Adsorption of methylene blue dye by activated carbon from durian peel follows Freundlich isothermal modeling with a K value of 15846.44 mg/g and 1/n of 23.666 which shows an indicator of concentration dependence of the amount of energy associated with the adsorption process.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a highly contagious infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest number of tuberculosis sufferers in the world. With the increasing incidence of TB in adults, the number of children infected with TB will increase and the number of children with TB disease will also increase. It is difficult to diagnose TB in children, causing over-diagnosis and over-treatment in the treatment of TB in children. This study aims to determine the characteristics of tuberculosis patients and determine the accuracy of tuberculosis drug treatment for children including the right diagnosis, the right drug, the right dose and the duration of treatment. This research is a type of non-experimental research with a descriptive research design by taking data from medical records retrospectively. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling . The total sample obtained was 52 patients who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data obtained were then compared for compliance with the 2016 National Guideline for Tuberculosis Management. The results of the analysis of 52 samples showed that the suitability of pediatric lung treatment in the outpatient installation of Balaraja Hospital, Tangerang Regency based on the accuracy of diagnosis as many as 52 patients (100%), accuracy In the intensive phase there were 52 patients (100%) while in the follow-up phase there were 50 patients (100%), the accuracy of the dose was 84.62% and the overall frequency of treatment of OAT in patients showed 100% therapeutic accuracy. The use of anti – tuberculosis drugs for children include the right diagnosis, right drug, right dose, and frequency of treatments of OAT is in conformity with Pedoman Nasional Penanggulangan Tuberkulosis.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pemilihan basis lilin yang tepat akan mempengaruhi sifat fisik lilin aromaterapi dalam performanya. Palm wax mempunyai sifat mudah larut dalam air dan tingkat allergen kecil. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh lilin aromaterapi bersifat repellent yang mempunyai sifat fisik lilin yang baik dan mempunyai kemampuan daya tolak terhadap nyamuk Aedes aegypt. Metode: Kulit jeruk purut disetilasi diperoleh 93 ml dengan bobot jenis 0,9. Formula basis lilin perbadingan bahan dasar lilin palm wax dan asam sterat yaitu A1(10:90), A2(90:10), A3(50:50), A4(70:30), A5(30:70), paraffin wax dan asam stearat B1(75:25), B2(50:50) dan B3(90:10). Hasil: uji sifat fisik lilin semua sediaan mempunyai warna putih, tidak cacat, dan tidak ada gelembung udara, lama waktu bakar A1:10jam 5menit, A2:6jam 47menit, A3:8jam 20menit, A4:7jam 15menit, A5:9jam 7menit, B1:6jam 40menit, B2:7jam 26menit, B3:9 jam 5menit dan titik leleh A1:53.3°C , A2:55.8°C , A3:56.8°C, A4:54.9°C,A5:57.5°C, B1:54,4° C, B2:56,6° C, B3:58,8° C. Basis lilin yang digunakan adalah basis A3(50:50) dan B2(50:50) merupakan basis dengan perbandingan komposisi seimbang. Hasil uji sifat fisik lilin aromaterapi A31(50:50) dan B21(50:50) berwarna kuning, tidak cacat, tidak ada gelembung, waktu bakar A31:7jam 3 menit, B21:6jam 43 menit, titik leleh A31:54,8°C, B21:54,9, dan daya proteksi terhadap nyamuk aedes aegepty A31:86,6%, B21:83,3%. Kesimpulan: Diperoleh lilin aromaterapi palm wax sebagai basis lilin memenuhi sifat fisik sediaan lilin yang baik yaitu tidak cacat, tidak ada gelembung udara, waktu bakar 7jam 3menit, dan daya proteksi terhadap nyamuk aedes aegepty sebesar 86,6%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Portland cement concrete pavement or more commonly called rigid pavement or Rigid Pavement, consists of a Portland cement concrete slab and a foundation layer (may or may not exist) on the subgrade. This concrete slab can use reinforcement or without reinforcement depending on the planning. This is different from flexible pavements where the stiffness of the pavement is obtained from the thickness of the subbase layers, the foundation and the surface layer. Because the most important thing is to know the load-bearing capacity of the structure, the factor that needs to be considered in designing concrete road pavements is the strength of the concrete itself. The varying strength of the subgrade or foundation has little effect on the structural capacity of the pavement (the thickness of the concrete slab). The subbase layer, if used under a concrete slab, is intended as a working floor and for drainage to prevent pumping. Pumping is the event of the release of water accompanied by subgrade grains through joints and cracks or on the pavement edge, due to deflection or vertical movement of the concrete plate due to traffic loads, after free water has accumulated under the concrete plate.
