Abstract

This study examines the values of character education contained in the book Syi'ir Mitra Sejati by Bisri Mustofa. This research is expected to be able to contribute scientific thinking about the relevance of educational values contained in the book Mitra Sejati. This research is descriptive qualitative research based on the case of study. Data collection techniques by collecting existing data either through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analytical method in this study uses two methods, namely the method of content analysis and the method of interpretive description. The results of this study explain that the book of Syair Mitra Sejati by KH. Bisri Mustofa contains the concept of moral education which has a social scope of humanity with several morals: morals to parents, people's morals to the government, morals of students to teachers, morals to friends, kinds of manners, morals of listening to conversations, morals of speaking, morals of associating, morals when eating, morals in dressing, caring for the environment, morals for visiting, morals to visit sick people.

Abstract

Confronting the widespread issue of bullying in Indonesian schools necessitates a thorough understanding of its underlying causes. A recent study emphasizes the importance of tackling this issue, with statistics demonstrating greater incidences of bullying among male Indonesian students in elementary school. This article investigates the use of Islamic ethics in education, notably in Indonesia, to combat bullying through interdisciplinary approaches. It envisions a comprehensive educational system based on Islamic ideals, focusing on administrative assistance, evaluation and assessment, community involvement, and teacher collaboration. This qualitative research provides significant insights for educators and policymakers who want to increase educational quality while sticking to Islamic ideals. Key components such as administrative support, evaluation and assessment, community involvement, and teacher collaboration are examined through the prism of Islamic values. This qualitative research provides valuable insights for educators and policymakers trying to improve educational quality while adhering to Islamic beliefs.

Abstract

This article discusses the crucial role of prayer (shalat) in shaping the discipline of elementary school students. Discipline is highly essential in molding the personalities of children from an early age. Prayer, as one of the religious practices in Islam, not only holds a religious dimension but also brings positive impacts in developing various aspects of character, especially discipline. Through literature review and empirical research, this article elaborates on how regular prayer implementation can serve as a means of shaping discipline in elementary school students. Prayer imparts values such as obedience, responsibility, and perseverance, all of which are key elements in forming discipline. Furthermore, the article explores the positive effects of prayer on the mental well-being of students. The concentration, tranquility of the mind, and self-control taught through prayer can directly contribute to the improvement of discipline in the school environment. The research includes interviews with teachers, parents, and elementary school students, as well as direct observations of prayer practices in their daily lives. The results indicate that students actively involved in prayer demonstrate higher levels of discipline compared to those who do not engage in religious activities. Thus, this article contributes to a deeper understanding of the urgency of prayer in the context of shaping discipline in elementary school students. The implications of these findings can serve as a foundation for the development of a more holistic character education program at the elementary school level, integrating religious values such as prayer as an integral part of the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the management of character education is in the era of society 5.0 at the Integrated MI Tahfizhul Qur'an Al-Ma'shum Surakarta. This research is a qualitative research that uses a descriptive approach. Collecting research data using interview techniques, observation and documentation. The data analysis used consisted of data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this research are that the management of character education in the era of society 5.0 at MITTQUM Surakarta has been going well through planning, teaching, implementing, and supervising. Instilling values ​​in building character education in the era of society 5.0 at MITTQUM is by habituating and forming the personality and good character of students. Character education planning activities include incorporating character education values ​​into the learning contained in the lesson plans for each formal subject, habituating the practice of carrying out Dhuha and Dhuhur prayers in congregation every day. In character education in the era of society 5.0 at MITTQUM Surakarta, teachers must continue to encourage and show examples to their students. This will ensure that character education in today's era is applied in everyday life until students mature.

Abstract

One indicator to measure the success of training activities can be seen from the participant's responses to the implementation of the training. This response can be obtained through self-reflection from participants at the end of the training or workshop. This research aims to determine the response of madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers to the implementation of the AKMI Follow-up Workshop organized by the Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia through self-reflection activities scheduled in the last session of this activity. The workshop activity itself is a continuation of the implementation of the Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI) for class V madrasah ibtidaiyah students that aims to equip teachers in madrasas to read the meaning of AKMI results for further follow-up by these teachers. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a questionnaire method with open questions. The results of the questionnaire showed that the majority of madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers who took part in the AKMI Follow-up Workshop responded positively to the implementation of the workshop. Things that MI teachers thought were new to them in this workshop were related to the four literacies material in AKMI, learning innovations, integrating the four literacies in AKMI in learning, and how to prepare scenarios for this integration. Some things that are considered not yet mastered by teachers are linking the four literacies into learning, understanding the competency achievements (CK) of each literacy, and arranging them in a learning scenario. To overcome this, teachers are committed to continuing to learn and deepen the workshop materials that are available on the LMS.

Abstract

The book “Kaifa Tushally” is utilized at SDI Sahabat Berlian to enhance the understanding of prayer procedures. Through a clear and structured approach, the book provides easily understandable explanations of each step of prayer, from intention to salutation. Supported by engaging illustrations and concise yet comprehensive explanations, the material facilitates students' comprehension of these concepts. Additionally, the book offers practical exercises enabling students to directly apply their knowledge. The research method employed was a One-group pre-test-post-test design. The research sample consisted of students before and after using the “Kaifa Tushally” book. Measurements were taken before and after the intervention using a pre-designed test of prayer procedure understanding. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in the understanding of prayer procedures among students after using the “Kaifa Tushally” book. The group utilizing the book showed a higher average test score after the intervention. This suggests that the “Kaifa Tushally” book is effective in enhancing the understanding of prayer procedures at Sahabat Berlian Islamic Elementary School. From these research findings, it can be concluded that the “Kaifa Tushally” book is an effective resource in the context of learning prayer procedures at the elementary school level. The emphasis on clear explanations, engaging illustrations, and practical exercises aids students in better grasping these concepts. Therefore, recommendations for further use of the “Kaifa Tushally” book in the context of Islamic education at the elementary school level can be drawn from this research.

Abstract

The debate about the relationship of Islam with modernity has attracted the attention of Islamic scholars. This led to a split into two camps. Pro-modernity circles represented by Islamic Reformist groups can accept modernity and fully support the concept of modernity for the advancement of Islamic civilization. Meanwhile, Islamic circles that are opposed to modernity represented by Islamic revivalist groups reject the existence of modernity because it can threaten Islamic traditions. The rejection of Muslim revivalist is based on the phenomenon of modernity which is very far from Islamic values that rely on traditions made by their clerical figures. This failure to understand modernity arises because they are too fanatical about the Islamic tradition and do not want to read and compromise with the reality and phenomenon of the times, causing a failure to understand the term modernity. This research will explain the debate of Islamic world relations around modernity sourced from Western media that has changed the face of civilization in the Islamic world. The research method used in writing this article is descriptive-qualitative from library research with data sources in the form of books, journals, and online media, as well as other reference materials relevant to the problem studied. The results show that the Islamic world can hardly avoid and stem the incursion of Western media that is so heavily flooding the Muslim world. One can fully access any phenomenon of modernity. This reality has not deterred Muslim intellectuals who are against modernity from trying to maintain the spiritual identity of Islam even though other Muslim world intellectual groups accept modernity by filtering its negative effects. This study will further analyze the challenges of the Islamic world, in addressing modernity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the integration of scientific concepts with the development of scientific attitudes and moral internalization through a narrative approach in the Confidence in Science reference book, entitled "When Does the Moon Change Shape?" Confidence in Science is a reference book from Korea that has been translated into Indonesian. The book comprises 40 titles, each addressing a distinct scientific theme. Confidence in Science is presented in three formats: narratives, encyclopedias, and comics. This research employs a library research methodology, with the book Confidence in Science, entitled "When Does the Moon Change Shape?" serving as the object of investigation. The research instruments include data cards and checklist sheets with data analysis techniques employing content analysis. The findings of this study indicate that the book in question is effective in conveying astronomical concepts in an engaging and accessible manner for children. Furthermore, this book is effective in instilling a range of scientific attitudes, including curiosity, objectivity, thoroughness, skepticism, cooperation, self-confidence, and concern for facts. Another significant aspect is the book's contribution to children's moral development through the illustration of ethical reasoning in a scientific context. A holistic approach that integrates scientific knowledge with character development is particularly well-suited to the developmental needs of elementary school-aged children. It is recommended that a similar approach be employed in the development of science teaching materials for children, with an emphasis on the integration of cognitive and moral aspects in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Islamic religious education teachers in improving the akhlakul karimah students at SMA Negeri 05 Bogor City. Based on the author's initial observations, at SMA Negeri 05 Bogor City, symptoms were found in the field, including: 1) There were students who had not applied morals in daily life in accordance with Islamic teachings. 2) There are students who lack discipline and violate school rules. 3) There are students who do not maintain good manners during learning. 4) There are still students who do not carry out Islamic teachings when interacting socially. And 5) there are still students who do not present their identity as good Muslims. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. data collection procedures by way of observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed the data by providing an explanation of the role of Islamic religious education teachers in improving student morals. motivators and evaluators.

Abstract

Effective communication in the learning process is essential to improve material understanding and student engagement. To improve these skills, teachers try to learn through the LOK-R (Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration, and Reflection) method. This study aims to determine the application of the LOK-R method in SMP Negeri 1 Modo in PAI subjects. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subject of the study was a grade VII student at SMP Negeri 1 Modo, who was chosen purposively. Data collection is carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data obtained were analyzed by thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns and themes related to student learning communication. The results of the study show that the application of the LOK-R learning method includes processes such as literacy, orientation, collaboration and also reflection. The impact of the application of the LOK-R method is effective in improving students' communication skills. There was an increase in students' active participation in class discussions and presentations. Students are more confident in expressing opinions and are able to communicate better. In addition, through reflection, students can identify their weaknesses and strengths in communicating, as well as make continuous improvements.
