Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the Society 5.0 era presents both opportunities and challenges for Islamic Religious Education (PAI). While technology enables adaptive and personalized learning, it may also contribute to moral degradation, superficial spirituality, and the weakening of humanistic values. This study aims to analyze the relevance of Prophetic Learning Methods in strengthening Islamic Religious Education in the Society 5.0 era and to formulate strategies for integrating prophetic values into contemporary educational practices. Using a qualitative approach based on library research, the study examines various educational methods employed by the Prophet Muhammad SAW.  The findings reveal that Prophetic Learning Methods, including exemplary behavior (uswah), empathetic dialogue (hiwar), habituation (ta'wid), direct practice, problem-solving, gradual instruction (tadarruj), and persuasive advice (mau'izhah hasanah) embody humanistic, holistic, and transformative characteristics. These methods align with the human-centered educational paradigm of Society 5.0, which places human development at the center of technological advancement. Integrating Prophetic Learning Methods into Islamic Religious Education can enhance character formation, spiritual intelligence, and ethical digital literacy. Therefore, Islamic Religious Education should not be dominated by a technocentric approach but should remain a key medium for nurturing moral values. In this context, prophetic values serve as the foundation, technology functions as a tool, and Islamic Religious Education acts as a medium for internalizing values in response to contemporary educational transformation.

Abstract

The development of students’ religious character is a central goal in vocational secondary education, yet many students exhibit suboptimal religious behaviours, including low discipline and limited social awareness. This study investigates the influence of daily good-deed habituation (One Day One Good Deed, ODOGD) and teacher role modelling on students’ religious character at SMKN 6 Berau, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 165 students using validated questionnaires and analysed through multiple linear regression. Results indicate that both the ODOGD programme (β = 0.195, p = 0.005) and teacher role modelling (β = 0.732, p < 0.001) significantly contribute to the development of students’ religious character. Teacher role modelling emerged as the strongest predictor. The combined influence of both variables explains 82.5% of the variance in students’ religious character. These findings highlight that consistent daily habituation of positive actions, supported by teachers’ exemplary behaviour, effectively fosters moral and religious values in students. The study provides empirical evidence for integrating structured character education programmes and teacher exemplars into school curricula to strengthen holistic student development.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, which has gripped the world since early 2020, has placed significant pressure on global economic activity, including Indonesia. Declining household consumption, weakening investment, and disrupted production activities have led to a significant economic contraction. In this situation, the government and the financial sector are required to provide financing instruments capable of supporting economic stability and accelerating the recovery process. One instrument that has received significant attention is sukuk. This study aims to analyze the role of sukuk in supporting the Indonesian economy by providing a specific reflection on the economic recovery period during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative approach using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method using quarterly data from 2011–2021, covering corporate sukuk, inflation, exchange rates, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The research results show that corporate sukuk significantly impacts short-term economic growth, particularly through the sukuk value in the previous period. Conversely, inflation and the exchange rate do not significantly influence either the short or long term. These findings indicate that sukuk play a strategic role as a financing instrument capable of supporting economic activity during times of crisis and is a crucial pillar in the national economic recovery process during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research strengthens the argument that sukuk market development needs to be continuously encouraged as part of Indonesia's sustainable economic development strategy.

Abstract

'Aisyiyah, a women's organisation within Muhammadiyah, plays a strategic role in promoting women's empowerment and strengthening family resilience through Islamic values. This study aims to explore the role of 'Aisyiyah in empowering women through the Sakinah Family Study Program implemented by the 'Aisyiyah Branch Leadership (PCA) of Kanor, Bojonegoro Regency. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving PCA leaders, cadres, and programme participants. The findings reveal that the programme contributes to enhancing women's religious understanding, improving family communication and conflict-resolution skills, promoting economic empowerment through community-based entrepreneurship, and strengthening family resilience through the implementation of the principle of mu'asyarah bil ma'ruf. The programme also increases women's self-confidence and participation in community activities. These findings indicate that grassroots Islamic women's organisations can function as effective agents of social transformation by integrating religious education with women's empowerment initiatives. This study contributes to the growing literature on faith-based community empowerment and family resilience in contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

Macrofungi are an important group of fungi that play a key role in ecosystem processes, particularly in organic matter decomposition and nutrient cycling. This study aimed to identify macrofungal species and describe their morphological characteristics in Suco Manusae, Hatulia A Administrative Post, Ermera Municipality, Timor-Leste. An exploratory field survey was conducted during June 2025 using direct observation and specimen collection. Morphological identification was performed based on macroscopic features, including pileus shape and color, lamellae or pore structures, stipe characteristics, and substrate type. A total of 15 macrofungal species belonging to 9 families were recorded in the study area. Most species were found growing on decaying wood, while others were associated with soil and animal feces substrates. The results indicate that substrate availability and environmental conditions, particularly humidity and temperature, are important factors influencing macrofungal distribution and occurrence. This study provides baseline information on macrofungal diversity in Suco Manusae and contributes to the understanding of fungal ecological roles in tropical forest ecosystems. The findings may support future biodiversity monitoring and conservation strategies in the region.

Abstract

Although Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) emphasize character education through moral values, religious practices, and exemplary role models, bullying continues to occur within these institutions. Existing studies have highlighted the potential of pesantren culture in fostering positive student behavior; however, empirical evidence regarding its effectiveness in preventing bullying remains fragmented and is largely dominated by qualitative research. This study aims to synthesize the available empirical evidence on the effectiveness of the pesantren cultural approach in preventing bullying among santri through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, literature published between 2015 and 2025 was systematically identified from Google Scholar and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Of the 200 records initially identified, 10 studies met the inclusion criteria after screening, quality appraisal using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal Checklist, and full-text review. The synthesis indicates that pesantren culture contributes to bullying prevention by strengthening empathy, moral awareness, emotional regulation, and a positive social climate through value internalization, exemplary leadership, mentoring systems, religious practices, and collaborative conflict resolution. However, current evidence is predominantly derived from qualitative studies using indirect indicators of bullying prevention, limiting robust conclusions regarding causal effectiveness. This review contributes to the literature by consolidating fragmented evidence on the role of pesantren culture in bullying prevention while highlighting the need for rigorous quantitative and longitudinal studies that operationalize pesantren culture as a measurable construct and examine its direct influence on bullying behavior among santri.
