The type of research used is classroom action research. The classroom action research model used in this study is the Kemmis PTK design. This model consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research instruments used in this study are tests and documentation. The technique in data analysis is using written tests in the form of multiple choices and essays to determine cognitive abilities in students' scientific literacy abilities. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students' scientific literacy abilities seen in cycles I and II. The results of the data analysis obtained are that in cycle I the number of students who completed was 10 people and those who did not complete were 14 people with a percentage of completion of 41.6% and incompleteness of 58.4%. In addition, in cycle II, there was an increase in completion, namely 20 students and 4 students who did not complete it, with a completion percentage reaching 83.4% and incompleteness of 16.6%. Thus, the use of the Scientific Inquiry approach can improve students' scientific literacy skills in science learning for fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Cenggu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine Sufi dance within the context of Islamic culture, focusing on the integration of aesthetics and spirituality in the adaptation of Sufi dance in the Indonesian archipelago, as well as the interpretation of meanings embedded in the signs of Sufi dance movements. This research employs a qualitative approach combined with Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis method. The data and sources consist of primary data (Sufi dance pioneers, instructors, dancers, and audiences or congregations who witness Sufi dance) and secondary data derived from documents or historical records of Sufi events in the archipelago, as well as scholarly articles related to Sufi dance. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, document studies, and life history analysis. Data analysis involves an in-depth exploration of how meanings in various movements are conveyed through signs found in archives, historical records, and historical events. The analysis also investigates how the integration between aesthetics and spirituality in Sufi dance can create a dynamic interplay within the values of Islamic culture in the archipelago. The findings reveal that Sufi dance is a sacred performance that embodies spiritual values in every movement, with symbolic meanings deeply rooted in religious contexts. The counterclockwise spinning movement, which serves as the core gesture of Sufi dance, symbolizes the rotation of the Earth and the tawaf around the Kaaba. Various meaningful movements in Sufi dance, analyzed through denotative and connotative interpretations, conclude that these movements represent the meaning of human life both physically and metaphysically. Moreover, they illustrate how aesthetics and spirituality interact in the context of Islamic culture in the Indonesian archipelago, resulting in a Sufi dance style that incorporates improvisation and adaptation from its cultural origins.

Abstract

Abstract English version, written using Times New Roman-11, italic. The abstract contains This study aims to determine the role of libraries in the research process in 2022 at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta and UNS. This can be seen from the availability of collections from all references used by researchers for research and other supporting factors. This study uses a mixed quantitative-qualitative method. The quantitative data collection technique uses primary data which is the result of research by lecturers and certain functional positions with sampling based on the Isaac and Michael table with an error rate of 10%, namely 27 at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta and 217 for UNS research. While for qualitative research, observation, interviews and documentation are carried out. The study found that the library at UIN Surakarta has not yet functioned as a Research Library. This is indicated by the availability of book collections supporting research in 2022, which was only 27%, a relatively low percentage. Additionally, in terms of library support for research, many services have not yet been provided. Meanwhile, the UNS Library was found to have played a moderate role (44%) in supporting lecturers' research and specific functional positions in 2022. This role was supported by the availability of facilities, infrastructure, various training programs, and supporting data provided by the library. Library support for lecturers’ and specific functional positions’ research at UIN Raden Mas Said remains low, both in terms of collections and services. Meanwhile, the support provided by the UNS Library for research in 2022 is categorized as moderate, both in terms of services and collections

Abstract

MI Ya BAKII 01 Kesugihan is a madrasah where some of the students live in Islamic boarding schools and some live at home. With the existence of Islamic boarding schools, it is likely that students who live in Islamic boarding schools will be better and excel in learning the Qur'an and Hadith. However, it does not rule out the possibility that students who live at home are actually superior to students who live at home, due to several factors. The objectives of this study are 1) to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of grade 5, 2) to determine whether there are differences in the cognitive outcomes of students who live in Islamic boarding schools and students who live at home, 3) to determine what factors influence students' cognitive learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative type. The population in this study were 124 students of grade 5 MI Ya BAKII 01 Kesugihan. Furthermore, the data obtained were tested using the analysis prerequisite test with the normality test and the homogeneity test. The research data were tested using the independent sample T-test. Testing in the research showed that there was no significant difference in the scores of students who lived at home and students who lived in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning and implementation of Holistic Integrative Early Childhood Education (HI-ECE) management in achieving quality services. A qualitative approach was applied using a case study method in three ECE institutions that have implemented HI-ECE. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document review, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model. The findings reveal that during the planning stage, the institutions designed programs based on children’s needs assessment covering education, health, nutrition, and protection aspects, involving multi-sector stakeholders. In the implementation stage, strategies included thematic curriculum integration, regular health services, provision of nutritious meals, strengthening parental involvement, and coordination with community health centers, social services, and community organizations. However, challenges were identified, such as limited funding, lack of specialized personnel, and coordination difficulties among agencies. Improvement efforts were made through teacher capacity building, partnership strengthening, and utilization of local resources. This study highlights that the success of HI-ECE management in achieving quality services greatly depends on participatory planning, integrated implementation, and continuous support from all stakeholders.

Abstract

The provision of good quality public services is still considered lacking to the community, especially for people in Teluk Bintuni Regency. This is due to discriminatory treatment in providing services to the community, low seriousness in providing services, especially in the consistency of working hours and lack of response to community complaints. To overcome these conditions, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the quality of public service delivery on an ongoing basis. The provision of quality services to the public is very intersecting with the bureaucracy. One of the bureaucracies in Teluk Bintuni Regency is the Bappelitbangda Office or commonly called Bapedda. The improvement in the quality of public services is suspected to increase if service providers carry out work professionalism. This has a partial effect. It has also been tested that there is a partial positive influence between professionalism on the quality of employee performance at the Bappelitbangda office of Teluk Bintuni Regency, West Papua..
