Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) terhadap pemahaman konsep tentang struktur dan fungsi sel pada siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA N 4 Buru. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dan melibatkan 27 siswa sebagai peserta. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model POE secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang materi tersebut, dengan hubungan yang cukup kuat (korelasi 0,632) dan tingkat keberhasilan belajar mencapai 85%. Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap model ini sangat positif, mereka menunjukkan minat dan keterlibatan aktif selama proses belajar. Temuan ini menyarankan bahwa model POE merupakan strategi yang efektif untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep biologi, khususnya tentang struktur dan fungsi sel.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between personality type and the learning motivation of class X students at the school. The type of research used is quantitative research with the independent variable (X), namely personality type, and the dependent variable (Y), namely learning motivation. The data collection technique uses a closed questionnaire, while data analysis is carried out using the Product Moment correlation formula with the help of the SPSS version 26 for Windows program. The results of the research show that there is a low but significant relationship between personality type and student learning motivation, with a correlation coefficient value of r = -0.358, which means it has a low level of relationship and a significance of p = 0.002 (p < 0.05), which means the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and the learning achievement of class VIII UPTD students at SMPN 16 Kupang for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is a type of quantitative research. The variables in the research are the independent variable (X) learning motivation and the dependent variable (Y) learning achievement. The sample in this study consisted of 60 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang for the 2024/2025 academic year. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Pearson correlation technique and processed using the SPSS version 24 for Windows application. The results of data analysis show a correlation coefficient of 0.412** and significance of 0.004<0.05. The results of research data analysis show that there is a relationship between learning motivation and student learning achievement at a moderate level, because the correlation coefficient value obtained is 0.412** in the coefficient interval of 0.40-0.599. Furthermore, the level of moderate relationship between learning motivation and student learning achievement can be explained based on the results of the determination test which shows that the contribution of the learning motivation variable is 17% to student learning achievement.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve eighth-grade students’ understanding of narrative text using the Story Mapping Strategy at SMP PAB 8 Sampali. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted over two cycles that included planning, execution, observation, and reflection phases. Data collection methods comprised multiple-choice assessments, observation checklists, interviews, documentation, and field notes. Findings indicated consistent improvement in students’ reading comprehension throughout the process, with average scores rising from 42.32 on the pre-test to 64.82 after the first cycle and reaching 83.04 following the second cycle. The use of the Story Mapping Strategy proved effective in aiding students to identify the main ideas and supporting details within narrative texts, while also fostering increased participation in the classroom. Consequently, this approach can be regarded as both engaging and successful in advancing students’ understanding of narrative reading material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas kurikulum pembelajaran IPA berbasis coding pada siswa sekolah dasar di SDN INPRESS Kampung Tiba-Tiba. Pembelajaran berbasis coding dianggap dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep-konsep IPA serta mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21, seperti pemecahan masalah, berpikir kritis, dan kolaborasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain campuran (mixed-methods) dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur perubahan hasil belajar siswa. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui observasi kelas dan wawancara dengan guru serta siswa untuk menggali pengalaman mereka selama mengikuti pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa, dengan rata-rata peningkatan skor post-test sebesar 18,7%. Selain itu, observasi kelas menunjukkan keterlibatan siswa yang tinggi serta kemampuan mereka untuk menerapkan konsep-konsep IPA melalui proyek coding. Temuan ini mendukung gagasan bahwa integrasi coding dalam pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan mengembangkan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan di masa depan.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve the reading comprehension of tenth-grade students in understanding descriptive text by implementing the Structured Note-Taking Strategy at SMA Swasta Budi Agung Medan. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out in two cycles, each comprising the phases of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants included 35 students from class X Muhammad Hatta, who faced challenges in recognizing main idea, supporting details, and structuring essential information from the text. Data collection involved both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were gathered through multiple-choice comprehension tests, while qualitative data were obtained from observation sheets, interviews, documentation, and field notes. The results demonstrated consistent improvement over the two cycles, with the students’ average score rising from 50.86 in the pre-test to 74.71 after the first cycle, and further increasing to 86.85 following the second cycle. These findings indicate that the Structured Note-Taking Strategy effectively aided students in identifying and organizing key information within descriptive text. These results suggest that the Structured Note-Taking Strategy effectively supported students in identify and organize important information in descriptive text, This strategy is suggested for broader application in reading activities to further strengthen students’ comprehension.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of instilling love for the Qur’an from an early age, particularly through structured memorization habits in elementary school environments. MIS Integral Hidayatullah Kota Jayapura has implemented the Morning Al-Qur’an Program as one of its religious learning strategies to enhance students’ memorization skills. The objectives of this research are to describe the implementation of the Morning Al-Qur’an Program at MIS Integral Hidayatullah Kota Jayapura, to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation, and to examine its contribution to improving students’ Qur’an memorization ability. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with the principal, Qur’an teachers, and students, as well as documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the Morning Al-Qur’an Program consists of three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage set gradual memorization targets according to students’ grade levels; the implementation stage was conducted every morning using the talaqqi, tasmi’, and collective muraja’ah methods; and the evaluation stage was carried out at the end of each semester through memorization tests recorded in progress reports and included in religious report cards. Supporting factors of the program include school policy, teacher commitment, parental support, and student enthusiasm. Inhibiting factors consist of limited facilities, student discipline issues, time constraints, and the lack of consistent muraja’ah at home. The program significantly contributed to improving students’ memorization abilities both in quantity and quality, while also fostering discipline, learning motivation, and religious character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop HOTS content in the e-module of Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMPN 1 Taluditi, increase creativity in developing teaching strategies and methods, improve critical thinking in understanding learning content and develop teacher creativity in designing materials, media and teaching modules that are appropriate to the conditions and abilities of students at the junior high school level. The method used is R&D with the DDDE (Decide, Design, Develop, and Evaluate) model which was chosen because it is in accordance with the objectives of developing HOTS and gamification-based interactive e-modules. A small-scale trial of the HOTS e-module was conducted by teacher experts and lecturers, and a large-scale trial was conducted by 22 students. The trial subjects were determined using a purposive sampling technique. Research data collection was carried out by administering a questionnaire test that had been collected descriptively. The results of the study showed that the gamification-based interactive HOTS e-module developed using the DDD-E model met the validity criteria with an average score of 3.89, was considered practical with an average score of 3.67, and demonstrated effectiveness, with 87.8% of students achieving a minimum test score of 70.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop descriptive text learning materials based on local wisdom for seventh grade students of MTs Negeri 1 Manado. To make the research more focused, the problem formulation is limited to three main issues: (1) what are the learning needs of descriptive texts in seventh grade at MTs Negeri 1 Manado; (2) what is the form and design of local wisdom–based learning materials in descriptive text learning; and (3) how effective is the implementation of local wisdom–based learning materials in descriptive text learning. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using Sugiyono’s model, which consists of ten steps, ranging from identifying potentials and problems to mass production. The research subjects included material experts, media experts, and seventh grade students. Data collection instruments consisted of questionnaires, tests, observations, and interviews. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the product. The results of the study show that: (1) the developed learning materials meet the eligibility criteria in terms of content, language, presentation, and graphics, categorized as very feasible; (2) the local wisdom–based learning materials of North Sulawesi attracted students’ learning interest and facilitated their understanding of the structure and linguistic features of descriptive texts; and (3) the effectiveness test results revealed an improvement in students’ ability to write descriptive texts, with N-gain values falling into the medium to high categories. This study concludes that local wisdom–based learning materials are effective in improving students’ descriptive writing skills while simultaneously instilling the values of local wisdom in learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Gamified Interactive English HOTS E-Book terintegrasi Artificial Intelligence yang berfokus pada optimalisasi kemampuan metakognitif, berpikir kritis, dan kreatif melalui eksplorasi kearifan lokal Gorontalo. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan konten budaya lokal, seperti makanan tradisional, tarian, dan destinasi wisata, sebagai konteks pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang bermakna. E-book ini dilengkapi elemen gamifikasi (Kahoot, Quizizz, Mentimeter) serta dukungan AI untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar interaktif yang berpusat pada mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Pohuwato sebanyak 65 orang. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif, dengan skor rata-rata keseluruhan berada pada kategori “sangat baik” yang menegaskan efektivitas e-book dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan metakognitif. Dengan demikian, produk ini berpotensi menjadi inovasi penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris berbasis budaya lokal sekaligus memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan strategi pendidikan di era digital.
