Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of vermicompost fertilization with the addition of organic waste on the growth and quality of lettuce (Lactuca sativa). The research was conducted using an experimental method with several treatments of vermicompost application combined with different levels of organic waste. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, fresh weight, and leaf quality. The results showed that the use of vermicompost with the addition of organic waste significantly improved the growth and quality of lettuce compared to the control treatment. Lettuce plants treated with enriched vermicompost exhibited better growth, higher biomass, and superior leaf quality. These findings indicate that vermicompost combined with organic waste can be an effective and environmentally friendly fertilization strategy to enhance lettuce production.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing competition in the culinary industry, which requires business actors to build strong branding in order to create positive consumer perceptions. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of branding on consumer perceptions of culinary products at La Bugis Restaurant in Sidenreng Rappang Regency and to identify the branding elements that contribute to customer loyalty. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the owner, employees, customers, and the surrounding community, as well as through observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and supported by NVivo 12 software for coding and visualization. The findings reveal that brand identity, the quality of traditional flavors, friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, and differentiation through local culture are the main factors in building positive consumer perceptions. In addition, word-of-mouth promotion and social media play an important role in strengthening brand image and customer loyalty. Thus, consistent branding based on customer experience has been proven to enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of La Bugis Restaurant

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan interaksi teman sebaya terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Pulau Punjung, dengan sampel 32 siswa kelas VIII.A yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Data hasil belajar diperoleh dari nilai MID semester IPS. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,691 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat hubungan signifikan antara interaksi teman sebaya dengan hasil belajar IPS siswa. Artinya, semakin baik interaksi teman sebaya, semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila di sekolah dasar memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter dan etika siswa, khususnya dalam hal komunikasi yang baik dan beretika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi pengajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru di SD IT Perguruan Baiti Jannati dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai Pancasila, serta pengaruhnya terhadap sikap komunikasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru dan siswa di SD IT Perguruan Baiti Jannati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang diterapkan mencakup pembelajaran berbasis cerita, diskusi kelompok, dan keteladanan dari guru. Pengajaran nilai Pancasila tidak hanya mengajarkan tentang nilai-nilai keadilan, kemanusiaan, dan kebersamaan, tetapi juga mengintegrasikan komunikasi yang etis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Selain itu, hasil observasi dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran nilai Pancasila secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi siswa, dengan menunjukkan sikap saling menghargai, mendengarkan, dan berbicara dengan penuh rasa hormat. Kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam menerapkan strategi ini antara lain adalah kurangnya dukungan orang tua serta tantangan dalam konsistensi penerapan nilai-nilai tersebut di luar sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi pengajaran nilai Pancasila yang diterapkan di SD IT Perguruan Baiti Jannati efektif dalam membentuk siswa yang beretika dalam berkomunikasi, namun perlu ada sinergi antara sekolah dan orang tua untuk memperkuat nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Web-Based Schoology Learning Media on Informatics Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of UPT SMP Negeri 4 Baranti, Sidenreng Rappang Regency”. Supervised by Syamsunir and Hasanuddin. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of web-based Schoology learning media on Informatics learning outcomes of class VIII students of UPT SMP Negeri 4 Baranti, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The research method used is quantitative with a deductive approach. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a one-group pretest and posttest design. This study does not use a control group, but rather compares student learning outcomes before and after using Schoology learning media. Data were collected through pretest and posttest tests. The results showed an increase in student scores after using Schoology learning media. The highest pretest score was 66 and the lowest score was 30, while in the posttest the score increased to 96 and the lowest score was 70 so the average score Mx (Posttest) = 82.64 > My (Pretest) = 49.05. This indicates an increase in learning outcomes after using the Schoology learning media. Therefore, it can be concluded that the web-based Schoology learning media used in Informatics demonstrates effective student learning outcomes.

Abstract

In an increasingly globalized world, English proficiency is essential for academic and professional success. However, many first-semester English Education students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang remain at a basic proficiency level, which hinders their progression toward intermediate competence as required by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This research addresses the lack of tailored instructional materials that support students’ transition from basic to intermediate proficiency. This study aims to design and develop instructional materials based on a comprehensive needs analysis. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the research engaged 30 first-semester students, three lecturers, and five alumni. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, diagnostic tests, pretests, posttests, and classroom observations. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-tests, while qualitative data were examined thematically. The findings revealed that students faced significant challenges in speaking fluently, comprehending oral input at natural speed, identifying main ideas in reading, and organizing ideas in writing. The developed instructional materials, which integrated task-based and skill-based approaches aligned with CEFR descriptors, demonstrated effectiveness in bridging these gaps. Posttest results showed significant improvement across all four language skills, confirming the materials’ role in supporting students’ transition toward intermediate proficiency. This research contributes to English language education by providing empirically validated instructional materials that respond to learners’ actual needs. It offers practical implications for lecturers, institutions, and future researchers in designing relevant and level-appropriate English learning resources.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) and its influence on the critical thinking skills of second-grade students at SD Negeri Laweyan Surakarta. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving three second-grade students as research subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, with data obtained from both primary and secondary sources. The validity of the data was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis was carried out through several stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the TPACK-based PBL model can foster students’ critical thinking skills in solving problems related to two-dimensional shapes, although the overall level remained moderate. Students in the high category demonstrated accurate understanding and problem solving, while those in the moderate category were able to answer correctly though only on certain types of questions. Students in the low category experienced difficulties in understanding and solving problems. Several obstacles identified during the implementation process included limited instructional time, differences in students' cognitive abilities, and difficulties in recalling and expressing the material that had been learned.

Abstract

Education is the most important thing and plays a role in advancing the fate of a nation. Education is also the learning of knowledge, skills and habits from a group of individuals starting from generation to generation. The point is that education consists of a series of activities from one individual to another individual or in groups with guidance so that children grow and develop optimally independently and responsibly. This research aims to improve creative thinking skills, namely the discovery learning model, by implementing an experimental method. The results of the study show that 1) there is a difference in the learning outcomes of science students who use the Discovery Learning model higher than those who learn using the conventional model. 2) There is an interaction between the discovery learning model and the conventional learning model reviewed from critical thinking on students' science learning outcomes. 3) There is a difference in the learning outcomes of science students who have high critical thinking skills who learn using the discovery learning model are higher than students who study with the conventional learning model. 4) There is a difference in the learning outcomes of science students who have low critical thinking who learn using the discovery learning model higher than students who study with the conventional learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi efektivitas penerapan teknik mind mapping dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V dalam pembelajaran IPA di SDN 77 Rante Lemo. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart dengan subjek penelitian 28 siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari 53,15 pada pretest menjadi 65,92 pada posttest siklus I dan 77,89 pada posttest siklus II. Persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat dari 28,57% pada pretest menjadi 60,71% pada siklus I dan 85,71% pada siklus II. Semua aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis (interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, eksplanasi, dan regulasi diri) mengalami peningkatan, dengan peningkatan tertinggi pada aspek eksplanasi. Kualitas mind mapping siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Efektivitas penerapan teknik mind mapping dipengaruhi oleh faktor gaya belajar siswa, motivasi belajar, dukungan guru, dan kompleksitas materi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknik mind mapping efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V dalam pembelajaran IPA

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of peer social support on the mental health of students at SMPN 16 Kupang City for the 2024/2025 academic year. This type of research is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The population in this study were students in class VII A, B, C, D, E, and F, totaling 172 students and the research sample was 42 students. The sampling technique is a purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool is a questionnaire. The research data analysis technique is simple linear regression. The results of this study show that the tcount value is greater than ttable (-4.231 > 0.312) and the significance value is 0.003 < 0.05. The results of this research data analysis show that there is an influence of peer social support on the mental health of class VII students at UPTD SMPN 16 Kupang City for the 2024/2025 academic year.
