Abstract

Writing is a communication tool or means of conveying information in writing. Writing activity is a form of expressing thoughts and feelings, arranged into words, sentences and paragraphs. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of flipped classroom in teaching writing descriptive text. The research subjects at SMKN 1 Grogol, consisted of 26 students of accounting class 1 as the control group and class X accounting 2 consisting of 27 students as the experimental group. The research design used a quasi-experimental approach with a quantitative approach. The instrument used was a writing test consisting of a pretest and posttest in the experimental and control classes. Data analysis using ANCOVA through SPSS 21. Results The research findings prove that the ANCOVA results obtained a significance value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. It means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, that there is a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. So, flipped classroom shows a significant effect on students' writing ability. Then, the average results show that using the flipped classroom method has a higher average. concluded that the flipped classroom effective in teaching writing descriptive text.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental study that aims to determine the existence of positive effects of active learning type quiz team of student learning outcomes with "The Only posttest Control Design". The population in this study were all students in class XI IPA. The samples was obtained by randomly. Class XI IPA 2 as a control class and class XI IPA 3 as a experiment class. The study consist of two variables, are the Active Learning Type Quiz Team as independent variables and learning outcomes as the dependent variable. The data obtained through test of learn result to the subject matter of colloidal systems were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Descriptive analysis results showed the average value of the control class is 68 with a deviation standard of 12.44 while in the experimental class the average was 76.08 with a deviation standard is 11.12 with the thoroughness of 79.16% for the control class and 92% for experiments class. The results of hypothesis testing using t-test , ​​obtained tcomputation = 2.41 and ttable= 2.019 at significance level α = 0.05 with df = k-3, where tcomputation > ttable which means H0 rejected and H1 accepted. This showed that there are positive effect of active learning types quiz team of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The main objectives of this research are to explore the types of transitivity process used by tenth grade students in writing recount text at one of the Islamic Boarding Schools in Karawang and to describe the pedagogical implication of the use of transitivity analysis. This research employed qualitative approach to analyze the transitivity process of students' writing recount texts. The data in this research are five students’ recount texts. Five recount texts written by the students were purposively selected as the research data, and were then analyzed in accordance with SFL theory (elaborated in Eggins, 2004). The result showed that there are six types of process found in the students’ recount texts, i.e. material process, relational, mental, verbal, existential, and behavioral. The material process appeared in the data the most frequently, with a total number of appearances 60 (70%) times. Additionally, inappropriate grammar was also found in the texts. This showed that transitivity analysis could also detect grammar in clauses in detail. Thus, two essential implications can be drawn from this research: (1) Transitivity system offers an alternative technique for teachers to analyze the students’ recount texts based on functional linguistic lens, and (2) transitivity system provides detailed arrangement of ways English recount text are developed.

Abstract

The effectiveness of using LCD Projector media on interest in PAI learning in SMPN 3 Lemito students in Pohuwato Regency. Research on the use of LCD Projector media has been carried out by several researchers, but has a different object. This study will focus on the interest in learning PAI in students of SMPN 3 Lemito in Pohuwato Regency. The focus of this research is based on the problem of lack of interest in learning PAI in students of SMPN 3 Lemito in Pohuwato Regency. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to have a learning support media, namely LCD Projector media that can effectively increase students' interest in PAI learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using LCD Projector media in increasing interest in PAI learning. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with data collection based on activity and learning effectiveness and statistics with the help of SPSS for windows version 17.00. The test was carried out on the results of the Pree-test and the results of the Post-test given that the average score of the students' Post-Test results after using the LCD Projector was 80.27 with a standard deviation of 10.423. The percentage of completeness reached 87.9% because it reached 29 students who completed. This means that the Post-Test results after using the LCD Projector media are in the complete category. so that the use of LCD Projector media is effective in increasing interest in learning PAI in students of SMPN 3 Lemito in Pohuwato Regency.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris mahasiwa dan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terkait pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris melalui mentimeter platform. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan berfokus kepada peningkatan kemampuan peserta didik di berbagai skills bahasa Inggris. Kualitatif deskriptif merupakan metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam menentukan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dari mahasiswa di semester 2 dan 4. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup kuesioner dan interview. Hasil penelitian melalui kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris peserta didik dalam bidang speaking), pengucapan (pronunciation), kosa kata (vocabulary), tata bahasa (grammar), menulis (writing), dan kemampuan mendengarkan (listening) sedangkan hasil dari wawancara mendeskripsikan bahwa peserta didik memiliki peningkatan dalam bidang komunikasi dan penguasaan kosakata namun mereka merasa perlu untuk terus diberikan pelatihan dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris menggunakan mentimeter platform. Kata Kunci: Mentimeter Platform, Kemampuan Bahasa Inggris, Era Digital Abstract The aim of this study was to determine the ability of students' English education and to determine students' perceptions regarding the process of learning English through mentimeter platform. This research was conducted by focusing on the ability of students improvement in various English skills. In implementing the research, the writer conducted the qualitative descriptive method and took the purposive sampling to determine the sample taken from students at the 2nd and the 4th semester. The instruments used in this study include questionnaires and interviews. The results of the research through the questionnaire showed that there was an increase in students' English skills performance, they are speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, writing, and listening. The result of the interview described that students have improved in the field of communication and vocabulary mastery, but their need of the specific English training must be fulfilled.

Abstract

The research was conducted to find out how the direct and indirect influence of Training (X) on Employee Performance (Y) at the Secretariat of the DPRD of North Sumatra Province through Motivation (Z). The population in the research was 107 civil servants with the number of samples used as many as 52 civil servants using the Slovin formula. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. This research was conducted in 2022. The data used were primary data taken directly from respondents using a questionnaire. This research used quantitative data that was processed with SPSS 24.0 with path analysis. The results of the path analysis showed that training directly had a positive and significant effect on motivation with the Standardized Coefficients Beta Training value of 0.900 with a significant 0.000. Training directly had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with the Standardized Coefficients Beta Training value of 0.931 with a significant value of 0.000. Motivation directly had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a value of Standardized Coefficients Beta Training of 0.942 with a significant value of 0.000. The results of the path analysis also showed that indirectly training did not have a significant effect on employee performance through motivation, which meant that motivation was not able to mediate the effect of training on employee performance. The indirect effect of training on employee performance through motivation was 0.848 which was smaller than the direct effect of training on employee performance of 0.931.

Abstract

Kecenderungan siswa baru untuk menampilkan berbagai macam respon sosial, baik positif maupun negatif, terhadap lingkungan sekolah yang baru saja mereka masuki. Hal ini berkaitan dengan kemampuan setiap siswa untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan. Mengingat bahwa dalam bidang pembangunan sosial salah satu manfaatnya adalah membantu beradaptasi pada setiap orang. dan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara bidang perkembangan sosial dengan kemampuan penyesuaian diri siswa baru di MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dan mengungkapkan kualitas perkembangan sosial dan kualitas adaptasi dari siswa baru. Data diperoleh melalui angket yang disebarkan kepada 80 responden. Angket penelitian terdiri dari 66 item pernyataan yang telah dijudge oleh tim ahli, untuk uji statistik dan uji hipotesis menggunakan alat bantu hitung Statistical Program For Social Science (SPSS) versi 16

Abstract

Media belajar Bahasa inggris berbasis buku teks masih banyak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga membuat suasana pembelajaran kurang menarik bagi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Hasil Uji testing, Validitas dan Praktikalitas Media Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk siswa sekolah dasar dengan berbantuan Teknologi Augmented Reality berbasis Android sehingga nanti nya dapat di gunakan dan dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris karena aplikasi tidak hanya menampilkan kata-kata tetapi juga menampilkan animasi yang merupakan tiruan dari benda yang dimaksud dalam 3 dimensi yang tentu nya akan menimbulkan ketertarikan pada siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Metode RnD dengan menggunakan model Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Adapun instrument yang digunakan yaitu Lembar Observasi Uji Testing Produk AR, Lembar Angket Validitas dan Praktikalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan padai tahapan blackbox testing 23 marker dapat menampilkan objek 3D dan suara dengan baik dan jelas, marker dapat ditampilkan sampai ketinggian 1 meter dengan derajat kemiringan 0°- 60°, namun di ketinggian 1,25 meter dengan derajat kemiringan 0°- 30°, spesifikasi perangkat mobile yang terpasang adalah minimum OS android 7 dan dapat berfungsi dengan baik minimum RAM yang dibutuhkan adalah 2GB, Validitas rata-rata augmented reality sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa inggris untuk siswa sekolah dasar berbasis android dari ahli materi adalah 90 dengan kategori sangat valid dan ahli media sebesar 85 dengan kategori sangat valid, dan Praktikalitas dari augmented reality sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa inggris untuk siswa sekolah dasar berbasis android berada pada skor rata-rata 88 dengan kategori sangat praktis dan menunjukkan respon positif dari para siswa.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of UNS Library UPT services through student entrepreneurship-based information literacy according to experts, librarians, library leaders, and students, as well as the obstacles faced in its implementation. The method used in this study is qualitative research with a descriptive approach and data analysis using Miles and Huberman. The data collection instruments used in this study were observation, interviews, documentation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results of the study, the development of entrepreneurship-based information literacy services for UPT Library UNS students was carried out through the empowerment of entrepreneurship collections, appointment of librarians in organizing entrepreneurial information literacy activities, the concept of implementing entrepreneurial information literacy was carried out in the form of seminars, workshops, FGDs in the field of entrepreneurship, as well as direct visits to various micro business unit business actors. Student entrepreneurship information literacy materials are in the form of training in animal husbandry, agriculture, digital business, and business products with small capital so that they can be duplicated and modified by students so that students can practice without difficulty in funding, besides that a motivator is also needed to foster enthusiasm in entrepreneurship among students. The obstacles faced by the UNS Library in implementing student entrepreneurship-based information literacy are the absence of librarians specializing in entrepreneurship to prepare planning for student entrepreneurial literacy activities and coordinators of entrepreneurial student groups at the UNS Library. Another obstacle is that no place in the UPT library can be used specifically for gathering entrepreneurial students to interact, discuss, grow ideas and develop businesses. Abstract

Nowadays, many students are still lack of good character and there should be a character-building program from school. This paper aimed to collect and analyze articles that are related to the implementation of a Child-Friendly School in building students' characters. The method used was a literature review, in which articles were collected from Google Scholar and the Directory of Open Access Journals. The criteria of articles used were from the last five years. Based on the articles that were collected, it can be concluded that Child-Friendly School is a very good educational concept to be implemented especially in building students' character.
