Jurnal Mappesona: is a scientific journal that publishes research articles, original research reports, and reviews in the field of Islamic Education Management. This journal is intended for education practitioners, lecturers, education policymakers, and researchers interested in innovation and development in Islamic educational institution management, effective resource management, the application of technology in educational administration, and strengthening educational leadership with a global perspective. All submitted manuscripts undergo a blind peer review process by experts from various universities, with plagiarism checks using Turnitin and a maximum similarity rate of 20%. The journal is published three times a year (February, June, October) and is open access, meaning that all articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide. In its publication process, the Jurnal Mappesona prioritizes publication ethics in accordance with COPE guidelines, which include the responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers to maintain scientific integrity. Submitted articles must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication in another journal. Article acceptance decisions are made objectively based on contribution, novelty, relevance, and presentation quality. Abstract

A change is a social dynamic that is unavoidable. The social change has a profound influence on Islamic education in its various aspects. This implies that the Islamic education as a social institution must be dynamic and open to changes according locus differences and socio-cultural development of the times. Therefore, although historically Islam has demonstrated its educational dynamic in response to social change, but a lot of the stereotypes that still cling to the typical of Islamic institutional education until now, such as the narrowness of the curriculum, lack of professional educators, and science dichotomy. From here, as a social institution is supposed Islamic education is able to clean itself, which in turn is able to mobilize social change through education that can be viewed through the philosophy of Islamic education

Abstract

Teachers play an important role in carrying out functions and realizing national education because teachers are educators who will produce quality students by providing knowledge to students. To help teachers meet these expectations, it is necessary to have efforts that can be taken in improving teacher performance in order to achieve quality education and produce quality students. This study aims to analyze educational policies related to improving teacher performance. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to the study of documents / texts.

Abstract

Character is very important for students. One effort of qualified students’ character building is by religion-based school and implement full day school system that continuously character building can be reached. This study is aimed to know: (1) the implementation of full day school in students’ character building, (2) constraints in implementing full day schoolin students’ character building. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to the study of qualitative. Result of this study shows that: (1) The implementation of full day school is conducted a day full in order to develop the students’ character building process is conducted through cultural practice in school such as routine activities, spontaneous activities and character building method. Students character building also developed through extracurriculars. (2) Constraints in implementing full day school in students’ character building is students’ awareness, the less of support and appreciation from parents or students’ custody, and available facilities.

Abstract

The results of this study can be concluded that: (1) Principal's policy strategy in fostering teacher professionalism is very good, such as the principal conducting sharing, the teacher is included in the training. (2) Teacher professionalism competence is very good, for example in addition to the teachers teaching during class hours also the addition of class hours outside of class hours so that the results are also satisfying as in graduation. (3) Inhibiting factors in fostering professionalism of teachers are the lack of school facilities and infrastructure, and supporting factors for the existence of kinship among school members, and there are two factors that can support and inhibit the principal's policy strategy in fostering teacher professionalism, namely from internal and external factors.

Abstract

Equitable education is very important in the delivery of education in this country. One of the government's efforts to accelerate the distribution of education is the establishment of the zoning system contained in Permendikbud No. 14 of 2018, namely the Acceptance of New Students (PPDB) which emphasizes the distance or radius between student homes and schools, so who is closer to the school he is more entitled to get educational services from the school. This research was conducted with the aim of describing and analyzing the implementation of zoning policies in the distribution of education. This research uses a qualitative research method with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the school zoning system was not yet fully implemented. It is seen that more negative impacts are felt by those involved in implementing this policy than positive impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of biology subject teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. The performance The teacher is seen from the planning of learning, the implementation of learning, and assessment learning and inhibiting and supporting factors in planning, implementing and evaluating learning. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The results showed that: (1) the performance of biology subject teachers in planning curriculum learning in 2013 was good (2) the performance of biology subject teachers in implementing the 2013 curriculum learning was good (3) the performance of biology subject teachers in evaluating 2013 curriculum learning was good (4) The inhibiting factors experienced by biology subject teachers apply the 2013 curriculum, namely the time of making lesson plans, the activeness of students. Then the supporting factor is that the teacher has basically participated in the 2013 curriculum training, the teacher has a syllabus grip so that it makes it easier for the teacher make lesson plans, teachers and students have a handbook, the use of media and learning methods in accordance with the material, the presence of students in each subject matter and assessment rubrics that become a benchmark in assessing students.

Abstract

The background of this research starts from the many acts of violence that occur in the world of education, especially in schools. Education which is supposed to be a place to instill good character and character is actually a place for mushrooming of violence. Anti-violence education is one alternative that can be used to minimize the existence of violence in the world of education. The main purpose of this research is to find out the causes of violence in education and how to overcome it. Data collection is done by using interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis techniques use qualitative descriptive. The results showed that (1) violence occurs due to an environment that is not conducive, causing depression, severe stress so that there is a tendency to take action uncontrollably and can commit violence against others and yourself. (2) The way to overcome is anti-education violence instilled anti-violence values early on is one alternative solution to anticipate the occurrence of violence and create an educational unit environment that is free of violence.

Abstract

Teachers play a very strategic role in the framework of carrying out the functions and realize the goals of national education. The role of teachers can hardly be replaced by others, let alone in a multicultural and multidimensional society. Therefore, guidance and professional development of teachers should always be a top priority. This study aims to analyze educational policies related to the development and improvement of the teaching profession. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with the type of descriptive approach case study. The results of this study indicate that with the existence of an educational policy on the development and improvement of the teaching profession, the position of teachers increasingly shaded by legal sources and with the Professional Teacher Education, teachers become more knowledge and professionalism as a teacher.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that always try to follow the development of Global Era and persuasion, every change of Head of State (President) also Change of Education Minister of Curriculum Change was done. Problems encountered are, Curriculum in Indonesia has undergone several changes, until finally the new curriculum was born in 2013 which is a curriculum based on competence and character In accordance with the problem, this study aims to analyze "How Application of Curriculum 2013 in Improving the Quality of Learning". The method used is by using descriptive method to know the planning and implementation of curriculum 2013 conducted by teachers in the implementation and improvement of learning.

Abstract
