The general objective of this study is to create a model of treatment for children with learning difficulties (CLD) by accommodation-based learning with elements: (1) material and techniques of instruction; (2) assignment and evaluation; (3) time demand and schedules; and (4) evironment of learning. The specific objective of this study is to create an accommodation-based treatment manual for CLD to: (1) provide educational services and instruction for CLD; (2) improve teachers knowledge and awareness of the importance of learning accomodation for CLD; and (3) increase the learning avchievement of CLD. This study is research and development. Data collection is conducted through the Delphi technique, focus group discussion (FGD), questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis is descriptive. The findings show that: (1) In the first years: (a) CLD treatment has not been adequately performed; it means that the exact solution has not been found out in learning accommodation for CLD; (b) teachers perception and expectation on learning problems of CLD have not been quite positive; (c) the prototype of CLD treatment based on learning accommodation has been limitedly to test-driven and can be developed as a model of treatment for CLD in the elementary school. Its implementation is based on a manual of learning accommodation application for CLD. (2) In the second years, the model and product have been validated through the main field testing and operational field testing; and stated as a fit and effective model of CLD treatment in the elementary school. The effectiveness of the accommodation learning treatment is evident from indicators that the elementery school teachers have applied the model and product found in the manual books for CLD instructional flexibilities. In addition, the application of the model has improved the (a) learning motivation; (b) social interaction; and (c) academic achievement of CLD

Akhir-akhir ini sering terjadi demonstrasi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa. Salah satu tuntutan yang diajukan oleh para demonstran adalah reformasi ekonomi dan reformasi politik.Misalkan pola suatu saat para pengusul reformasi menghen- daki dicabutnya undang-undang Nomor 1998 Tatrun X, dan menyatakan bahwa tututannya itu merupakan kehendak dari 90% mahasiswa di seluruh tanah air, tetapi ada pihak yang meragukan pernyataan tentang jumlah 90% itu, dan pihak yang meragukan pernyataan itu berpendapat bahwa jumlah mahasiswa yang menghendaki pencabutan Undang- Undang Nomor 1998 itu jauh di bawat 90%.

This study was aimed at finding out the results of the Education Decentralization Program implemented by the Government through the Decentralized Basic Education Project (DBEP). DBEP was a primary education decentralization project utilizing a loan fund from Asian Development Bank (ADB) and APBN/APBD aimed at increasing access and education quality for the poor society. The study took place at Jembrana Regency, in Bali Province, which had biggest count of poor population. Results showed that there was education quality improvement before and after the implementation of the education decentralization program. Based on mean difference statistical test, it could be concluded that there was significant difference in It was concluded that the primary education decentralization program had given a significant influence on the improvement of education quality in Jembrana Regency.

Abstract This research aims at developing an Experience-based Career Education model of instruction that has been tested empirically. This research is performed by using the approach of research and development, planned for two years. The first stage of this covers: identifying problem, testing the product feasibility, planning the model, validating and experimenting the model. This research involved several data resources, i.e. the household welfare education ‘local content’ teachers, the staff of the Yogyakarta Regional Office of Education DIY, school principals, education experts and practitioners and junior high school students. the data were collected by using questionnaire, interview and documentation and analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the model is successful in improving the teachers’ ability in performing the instruction, improving the students’ motivation in learning and overcoming the inadequacy of facilities and infrastructure in. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pembinaan karakter pada siswa sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian riset dan pengembangan dengan desain tiga tahap. Pada tahap pertama (2010) survey dilakukan terhadap 20 sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi, interview, dan focus group discussion, serta dokumentasi. Teknik pengecekan silang dilakukan untuk memvalidasi data. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) model khusus tidak ditemukan pada pembinaan karakter berbasis pendidikan agama di sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Pembinaan karaker dilakukan di sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama masih secara umum 2) model pendidikan karakter harus dikiembangkan di sekolah berdasarkan kepada pendidikan agama untuk membuat pendidikan agama menjadi mata pelajaran utama yang digunakan untuk membina karakter siswa. Pendidikan agama harus mengajarkan agama, sikap, dan perilaku. Aspek penting lainnya yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam kerangka pembinaan karakter yang efektif di sekolah adalah visi, misi, dan tujuan sekolah, dan kebersamaan. Ada program yang jelas dan rinci, meliputi semua subjek dan semua guru. Ada dukungan fasilitas dan tim khusus untuk pelaksanaan program pembinaan karakter siswa.

The study is aimed at identifying models of character building of elementary and junior secondary school students based on religious education in the province of Yogyakarta. The study is a research and development (R D) designed in three stages. In the first stage (2010) the study was a survey in 20 elementary and junior secondary schools in Yogyakarta. The data were collected by observation, interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation. The cross-check technique was used for data validity The data were analysed by the inductive analysis technique. The results showed: 1) A special model was not found yet in character building based on religious education in the elementary and junior secondary schools in Yogyakarta. Character building developed in the elementary and junior high schools was still one that was general, 2) A model should be developed for character building in school based on religious education to make religious education as a major base for developing students characters. Religious education should actually teach religious attitudes and behaviors. Another important aspect to be considered in the framework of an effective character building in schools is the vision, mission, and goals for the school, and togetherness. There are programs that are clear and detailed, involving all subjects and all teachers. There are support facilities and special teams for the character building programs

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui relevansi materi pembelajaran praktik laboratorium dengan jenis pekerjaan administrasi perkantoran. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Responden penelitian adalah seluruh peserta PKL mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran yang berjumlah 106 orang, sedangkan untuk pembimbing berjumlah 30 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket setelah uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Data dianalisis dengan teknik statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh simpulan sebagai berikut: 1) terdapat relevansi materi praktik di laboratorium dengan jenis pekerjaan di lembaga mitra dengan kategori tinggi antara hasil analisis mahasiswa dan pembimbing sebesar 50,90% dan 53,30%; 2) pembelajaran praktik di laboratorium sudah sesuai dengan jenis pekerjaan di lembaga mitra dengan hasil tinggi antara analisis data mahasiswa dan pembimbing sebesar 48,10 dan 53,30%; 3) tingkat keterampilan mahasiswa dalam melakukan praktik sesuai dengan harapan lembaga mitra dengan hasil tinggi antara analisis data mahasiswa dan pembimbing sebesar 48,10% dan 53,30%; 4) sarana dan prasarana laboratorium pendidikan administrasi perkantoran sudah layak dalam membentuk kompetensi bidang administrasi bagi mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran dengan hasil tinggi sebesar 48,10%

The purpose of this study was to make a device of the development of an entrepreneurship training, develop a model of theentrepreneurship training, and create the material ofentrepreneurship training for the employment of joblesstownspeople. The study employed research and development as themethod and used qualitative and quantitative approaches as themethods of analyses. After a series of try-outswere conducted, thereal field operational test was performed by using a pre-test andpost-test design. The data were collected through interviews,participative observations, intensive discussion, documentationstudy, and questionnaires. A mark-test was utilized for thedescriptiveand inferential statistical calculations. Findings of thestudy consisted of a design of the entrepreneurship training devicefor the applicant of the fresh entrepreneur group in the city, a modelof entrepreneurship training for the employment of joblesstownspeople, an entrepreneurship training material modulefor theemployment of joblesstownspeople, and an effective model ofentrepreneurship training and material for the employment ofjobless townspeople.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan memperoleh Instrumen Pendeteksi Miskonsepsi Ikatan Kimia (IPMIK) untuk peserta didik SMA. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda dengan alasan setengah terbuka. Produk awal (IPMIK I) yang telah dikembangkan divalidasi melalui expert jugdment dengan menggunakan teknik FGD yang melibatkan ahli kimia, pendidikan kimia, miskonsepsi, dan psikometri serta reviewer (dosen kimia dan guru kimia SMA di DIY). Masukan dalam FGD digunakan untuk merevisi instrumen menjadi produk IPMIK II. Selanjutnya, instrumen inti soal divalidasi empiris pada peserta didik SMA di DIY. Hasil uji coba dianalisis IRT tiga parameter untuk menentukan butir-butir soal yang valid. Penelitian ini telah berhasil mengembangkan IPMIK untuk peserta didik SMA yang telah divalidasi empiris terhadap 811 peserta didik SMA kelas XI dari 13 SMA di DIY dan diperoleh 20 butir soal yang valid (produk IPMIK III) berdasarkan analisis IRT tiga parameter.
