Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively describe teachers' efforts in integrating deep learning-based instruction into the Merdeka Curriculum at SMK Informatika Ciputat. The deep learning approach in education emphasizes deep conceptual understanding, critical thinking, reflection, and the ability to apply knowledge in real-world contexts. In the context of vocational education, the integration of this approach is essential to ensure that students not only master technical skills but also develop analytical, creative, and adaptive abilities in response to technological advancements. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to provide a comprehensive depiction of the phenomenon, particularly regarding teachers' strategies in implementing deep learning in the classroom. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving productive subject teachers, the school principal, and students from the Software Engineering (RPL) program. Data analysis was conducted interactively using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings are expected to reveal teachers’ understanding of the deep learning concept, the instructional strategies applied, and the supporting as well as inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of reflective and contextual 21st-century learning models and to provide practical benefits for schools in designing policies and teacher training programs to strengthen meaningful learning in the digital era.

Abstract

Research on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the 3T (Underdeveloped and Disadvantaged Regions) at Orasi Indo Sinasih Private Junior High School, Silau Kahean District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province, provides flexibility for educators in designing learning that is tailored to the needs and characteristics of students, as well as local conditions. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the 3T (Underdeveloped and Disadvantaged Regions) areas, specifically at Orasi Indo Sinasih Private Junior High School, Silau Kahean District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects consisted of the principal and teachers. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the Independent Curriculum has been implemented quite well, although obstacles remain, such as limited infrastructure, low technology utilization, and the community's socioeconomic conditions. Principals play an active role in developing strategies to improve educational quality, such as teacher training, implementing project-based learning, and strengthening student character through the values of the Pancasila Student Profile. The conclusion of this study is that the Independent Curriculum can be implemented effectively in 3T (third-to-third) areas and can be a solution to improving educational quality in these areas if accompanied by optimal support from all parties.

Abstract

This study examines the importance of awareness in implementing the value of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) through night patrol activities. Individual awareness plays a crucial role and needs to be continuously developed to strengthen community participation. This research was conducted in Kadudamas Village, RT/RW 08/03, Cirinten District, Lebak Regency. The objective of this study is to determine the level of community awareness in RT 08 in implementing the values of mutual cooperation in night patrol activities. This study employed a qualitative approach using data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of mutual cooperation values in night patrol activities among residents of RT 08 still needs improvement to ensure that all residents fulfill their responsibilities as good citizens. Although the level of awareness is generally considered good, it requires continuous enhancement through regular monthly evaluations. The efforts made by the head of RT 08 in fostering awareness and community spirit have been effective. For example, strict sanctions are applied to those who violate the rules, while appreciation and rewards are given to residents who are disciplined and active. These measures aim to strengthen awareness, encourage participation, and build a responsible and law-abiding community.

Abstract

The development of information technology has made social media an important part of everyday life, including in the political realm. This study aims to determine the influence of social media X on the political perspectives of students in the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Study Program at Pamulang University. The study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. The population of this study was all students of the Regular PPKn Study Program A, with a sample of 81 respondents selected through a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire analyzed with validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and simple linear regression tests using SPSS version 25. The results showed that the use of X had a significant and positive effect on students' political perspectives with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.678. This means that 67.8% of the variation in students' political perspectives can be explained by the use of social media X. Thus, Social Media X plays a role in shaping students' understanding, attitudes, and involvement in political issues.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural nation that faces major challenges in maintaining unity amidst its ethnic, religious, linguistic, and cultural diversity. The value of unity, as reflected in the national motto “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” (Unity in Diversity), is a key foundation for national stability and integrity. Generation Z, born in the digital era, holds great potential in preserving national unity but is also vulnerable to the effects of globalization and social media, which can influence national identity. This study explores how the value of unity is implemented by Generation Z in shaping patriotic character. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants included a Civics teacher, the vice principal, and Grade IX.1 students at SMP PGRI 1 Ciputat. The data analysis followed open coding, axial coding, and selective coding to identify patterns of unity implementation and its impact. Findings show that Generation Z understands and applies the value of unity through tolerance, cooperation, and togetherness in school activities like flag ceremonies, class duties, P5 projects, and honoring national symbols. The study concludes that embedding unity values in education effectively fosters a sense of patriotism in Generation Z.

Abstract

This study on Students’ Perceptions of the Educational Environment in Relation to Nationalism Values was motivated by the need to explore how Pamulang University students understand and internalize nationalism values within their academic and social lives. The research employed a qualitative approach using phenomenological methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants consisted of students, lecturers, and the head of the study program. The findings indicate that students’ perceptions encompass cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The internalization of nationalism values occurs through academic pathways such as lectures and coursework and socio-practical pathways including student organizations, cultural activities, and community service. Supporting factors include lecturer involvement, relevant course material, and active student participation, while inhibiting factors include overly theoretical teaching methods, limited creative platforms for cultural expression, and the influence of foreign popular culture. In conclusion, Pamulang University students demonstrate diverse understandings of nationalism, reflected across cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The internalization process occurs through a combination of institutional-academic channels and socio-practical experiences, highlighting the strategic role of the university’s educational environment in shaping students’ perceptions of nationalism values.
